Regal Homes

I built my first home with Regal several years ago. I was really impressed with their quality and customer service. It was so easy, I decided to rent that house out and build another Regal Home. I would recommend building a Regal Home to anyone looking for a quality built affordable home.

Regal Homes are horrible! Had nothing but trouble with my septic system..Ran over three times...The third time it ruined my carpet! Had to have it replaced. Called Regal homes and they gave me the run around...even gave me a phone number to call that was bogus! DO NOT BUY A REGAL HOME!

I was totally unsatisfied with our regal home. Among other problems we had our water tap reversed in the master bath, our carpet ripped at the seams withing the first 5 months of living in our home, our front yard was a continuous mud pond with the rain, our broken front walk was NEVER fixed after being told it would be, our cabinetry was coming off of the walls withing the first year, and to top it all our fire alarms would randomly go off constantly (too high to disconnect with the vaulted ceilings!) I have advised many people to steer clear of this home building fiasco! Don't even get me started with their Bank of America lenders!!! Completely pushy, and rude! Our main loan representative mysteriously disappeared after our first paper work was completed! We had no loan officer to talk figures and prices with. All correspondence was sent to NYC! Do not fall for the scam of "building dream homes for families!"

In the first month I lived in my "Regal Home" I found a 5 inch slug crawling ON TOP of my kitchen counter. The following summer, I returned home from vacation and noticed a long piece of grass in my bedroom. At first I thought I must have brought it in from the yard but when I went to pick it up, I realized IT WAS GROWING up between the floor and the wall. Yep, GRASS GROWING FROM UNDER THE WALL. Obviously there are significant gaps in the construction that are hidden by carpet and cabinetry. This must also explains why the bedroom are freezing in winter and broiling in summer. Other than drywall carpet and some cheap siding there isn't muchvto this "building."

I've had nothing but trouble from day 1 with Regal Homes. They are all about the money and could care less about the people they are building "homes" for. I would not reccommend them to anyone.

I would like to say that my husband and I bought a regal home over a year ago and we are very pleased. In fact, the areas and subdivisions they build in are terrific. You can't beat the areas and the prices of the homes are excellent!!!!

PROS: Quality built homes at very affordable homes!!!!!
CONS: So many floors plans, its hard to choose one!

Yes, they can build a house fast and cheap, but how do you think they do it? They cut corners!!! They use some of the worst contractors in the area (because they are the cheapest) and it shows in their work. . The quality is poor and the service is even worse. Just remember......."you get what you pay for". and when it comes to the Burtons(Owners and operators), you get even less.

we have just built our very first home and we went through regal homes. i was really worried that we would not be able to get a new home with us being very young but Regal Homes was more than helpful with getting us in the home we wanted at a price we could afford. i was so impressed with the quality of the home and how quickly they completed it!!! i would highly recommend Regal Homes to other first time home builders.
