This is our absolutely FAVORITE restaurant in Charleston. The service, the owner, the bartenders.... everyone is so nice & is passionate about GOOD FOOD.

Love that their food is seasonal (menu changes often) & fresh & local.

Can't find better food in Charleston!

Great small owned Charleston restaurant in the heart of the city. Great upscale southern food!! Lots to seafood and steak entrees to choose from. Great for families.

I don't really understand what the buzz is all about with FIG. I mean, the ambience to okay, but nothing special. The location is not that great other than being somewhat central. I keep going back and hoping to have my socks knocked off, but it just hasn't happened. The food is good, but not great. The service, in my experience has been less than excellent. Really lackluster and slow on a busy Friday night which is understandable, but not much better on a really slow mid-winter week night. Everyone raved about the cauliflower, one of my favorite foods, and I couldn't wait to try it one my most recent visit. Huge dissapointment! I make wonderful cauliflower and, while this was not bad, I would've been embarrassed to serve it for a dinner party. Maybe it was an off night. The fish I had was very good, but the portion size quite small for the size of the check. I went home hungry. The wines by the glass were pretty good, but not in line with the prices. There are so many wonderful restaurants is Charleston I don't understand why this one continues to rate such glowing reviews. I'm sure they're nice people...

Pros: Centrally Located

Cons: Hard to Park, A little pricey for what you get.

My husband and I had dinner the first night we were in Charleston at Fig. We were blown away by the quality of the ingredients and the simplistic brilliance of the food. Each dish was very delicate and perfectly composed. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

f.i.g. is the darling of charleston, sc. you aren't going to feel unwelcomed or completely out of your league here. comfortable, delicious, and livily. this restaurant invokes everything a bistro should be. locally owned...chef owned and operated with a finesse and dedication that you would find at any of the top restaurants world wide. the tartare is the best i've ever eaten. each time i've eaten there i feel an honor and reverence for the products. from the best fish to the freshest still sunkissed tomatoes...this place does it.

the food and the ambience at this resturant are so simplisticly beautiful. the resturant is feeled with these large comfrtable lights, and the colors of the dining room are very warm and invinting.
the food is so simple but is done with such care and pureness that it was one of the best meals that i have ever had. the chef does an amazing job with taking care of each dish and giving it just what it needs with out taking over. i highly reccomend this place it is amazing.
