AWFUL customer service! As several reviews on this site and others have stated the owner especially is terrible to work with and talk to. We had several issues with tuxedo rental so many I want even go into to the fact that NONE fit my groomsmen, she showed my dress to people without asking me, and she was the most rude person I have talked to in a while. In all of these scenarios she and none of the other staff offered any type of resolution, they acted as though they didnt care and considering I got my dress, bridesmaids dresses and tuxedos from her, you would think she would have been more helpful and considerate, you do not want to deal with a place like this during such a special time! I also find it funny it was published in the local paper here that this place owes a lot of money in back taxes!! DO not give this place your business

This is not a place that you want to do business with! I got my wedding dress and groomsmen tuxedos from here! The problem is the owner, the one you have to deal with the most, she is rude, and does not know anything about true customer

Due to my busy schedule we had to call in my measurements for my bridesmaids dress. After I gave the representative my measurements she gave me the size and I voiced some concern that it seemed a bit large. I assumed she knew better than I did about the dresses and the way they were cut, being that this was her expertise. Upon receiving my dress I tried it on and in the bust there was at least 4-5 inches of additional room. I called Jo-Lins to voice my concern over this issue and all I really wanted was an apology for the dress being to large. Upon speaking with the owner she was extremely rude and would never let me finish my explanation for actually calling, and she even knew she was interrupting me because when I told her that she was interrupting me she stated, "Yes Ma'am I am". What I was attempting to explain to her were my measurements and she stated that my measurements were "kind of all over the place" and that is why they went with the largest measurement which was my waist. If they knew their product though they would have known that the dress was only fitted in the bust and it would have made a lot more sense to go with that measurement versus the one for the waist. I told her again the only reason I was calling was for an apology and she stated "Why would I have to apologize to you, we did what we were supposed to do". Now regardless if I am right or wrong, if they really valued me as a customer they would have just stated they were sorry and that would have been the end of it. The owner showed an extreme disregard for customer service during the entire conversation and never actually offered a resolution to my issue. Upon calling back to see if I could get the name of person I had just spoken with, a gentlemen picked up the phone and I told him why I was calling and I told he that the lady I had just gotten off the phone with was very rude to me and he said to me that "They have to deal with customers who have no common sense and have to deal with customers who were rude all the time". He was essentially insinuating that I was lacking common sense and was rude which again, shows an extreme disregard for customer service. I asked for her name once again and he asked me why I needed it again and I told him AGAIN that she was rude and I would be contacting someone about her behavior. He said to me that she was also rude to him, but that it was ok. And I said to him that it was not ok that she was rude to me. I told him how much money I had just spent in their boutique and he said to me? Wow that??s all you spent? You must have bought something off the reduced rack?. You may let your boss be rude and disrespectful to you but that is no way to treat your customers. He acted as if customer service was not one of their top priorities. As for that comment he made about me buying something off the reduced rack; totally inappropriate. I have never been treated this way by any business. I have no idea how they have been in business for 20 years. I know a couple of people personally that have had problems with this owner and her unprofessionalism. In my honest opinion I would not recommend Jo-Lins for your Gown or Bridesmaids dresses unless you don't care about the value of the customer service you are paying for.

The experience I had at this shop was wonderful! They are truly talented at finding that perfect dress & going the extra mile to make the day perfect! I purchased my bridal gown, veil, jewelry, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, bridesmaid, and flowergirl dresses there. They stored everything until the wedding with no extra fees. They steamed my dress before my portrait before my portrait and before my wedding! I got my dress filthy at the portraits and they were able to spot clean it and get EVERYTHING out! Their seamstress was so polite and she made my dress fit perfect! I drove from Charleston for their shop, but it was well worth it!

They have a very big selection of bridal gowns & some of the cutest bridesmaid dresses I have ever seen! From the time I walked in the door the girls welcomed me, and were quick to explain the layout of their store so that I was not confused! I purchased EVERYTHING from them, and will be sending all of my friends their way! I was sad to leave them, because I felt that I was part of their family when I left! They have obviously improved tremendously since these reviews were written!

My daughter had picked a wedding dress she wanted from a store out west. All we needed to do was get a price and order it. I called for the price, but they were too busy to give it to me. The clerk said she would have to look it up and call me back. She never did. I called 2 days later and they still had the information in front of them but did not bother to return my call.

To walk into Jo-Lin's, you'd imagine that they would have a lot of great dresses available to try on, judging by the full racks in the store; this is not the case. I went into the store about a half-hour before close on a Wednesday. I was looking for something out-of-the-ordinary, as I'd currently had no luck in some stores in Greenville and had refused to go to David's Bridal. Jo-Lin's had NO gowns in my size that I wanted to try on (how hard is it to find size 14 gowns these days?), so I opted to try on some that were a size larger or smaller. I was basically handed the gowns in the dressing room, then forgotten about since there were two other brides who were there trying on gowns already. Let me tell you, trying on wedding gowns alone is no easy feat, much less so when there are too many customers in the store and not enough people to help all of them. I got so frustrated by the time I was ready to try on the second gown I'd chosen that I just gave up. I tried to inquire about bridesmaid's dresses also, but was just handed some catalogs instead. All this after I'd called and was told I didn't need an appointment. My recommendation is for them to take appointments, always, so they can properly acommodate their potential customers.

Also, the service there was wonderful. Two ladies stayed 45 minutes after their closing time just to help me out. They offered great advice, but never once pushed me to buy from their particular store if I wasn't completely happy with what I found.

I got my wedding gown from Jo-Lins bridal. It was beautiful, and I bought it off the rack for 60% off. I also had my alterations done there. Although they were quite pricey for the little bit of work I had done, the alterations were perfect. They have a great selection of bridal gowns and the prices are pretty competititve. I was not impressed with their selection nor the price on their bridesmaid gowns or their accessories such as veils and shoes. I ended up getting all of that elsewhere for a much lower price. However, my dress was beautiful and perfect and I would definately recommend them for wedding gowns.

PROS: Great wedding gowns!
CONS: Not so great on bridesmaids dresses, veils, and shoes.

I called Jo Lins Bridal at least 3 times to find out if they carried a certain designer and style dress. Of course each time they said they were busy and would have to call me back. I'm still waiting for their call. You would think when you are going to spend $500 - $1500 on a dress they would be dying for your business. Not to mention you will probably buy your shoes, veil, bridesmaids dresses there also.

I took my business elsewhere.
