This was our first trip back to the SunCruz / Aquasino since they reopened under the new company. They are sporting a new ship and we were incredibly surprised. The new ship was fabulous! It was much larger than the old ship with more deck space on top to enjoy the sail out to sea. They had a songster on deck who was very entertaining. It was a little rough in the open waters at first - but that was easily remedied by taking a seat at the Blackjack table :-). The space inside the casino was wonderful. There was room between the table games and walkways which was definitely an improvement. The air filtering was much better and I rarely even smelled the smoke. It was very clean - the restrooms were much improved and the stairways were more spacious. The dining area was very large - the food was not bad but I am sure it is difficult to feed an unknown number of people like they do. It is a buffet but it seems to only be 1 trip so get what you want the first trip. One employee said they were working on more food selections for the post gambling return.

The staff was incredibly gracious with several dealers we remembered returning from the other ship. They made exchanging our Player's Cards for the newer ones a breeze - in fact, I never left the crap table - they just exchanged my card for a new one. I was pleased to see that they had $5 and $10 Blackjack and Craps tables and they actually had 2 Roulette tables that were full all night. In fact, most of the table games were full. We never made it to the new SportsBook area but we will check it out next time. We heard and saw several people cash out after winning a Grand or better on the tables. We saw a guy win $9000.00 on a $5.00 slot. We were very happy "breaking even" after 5 hours so it was really a fun evening.

I believe they are making improvements every week with the ship, food and service. Some of the reviews are speaking of the now bankrupt and defunct SunCruz company and boat so you should go out on the new one and give it a try. They are still only charging $10 for the departure fees if you bring in one of the coupons available at any hotel in the area.. We had a great time and will be returning often!

Sun Cruz Aquasino - worst experience ever!

If this ship is new as advertised it is a lie.

We were told that there is non smoking deck - Not True.

Buffet - terrible food, poor selection, hot food was cold, table service for drinks etc non-existent.

Found ship dirty, machines dirty with food and drink, gambling rooms dark and unpleasant, many machines not working.

Staff abrupt.

Over all experience - BAD

Worst experience of my life. First of all, we were yelled at to hurry up and board the boat while waiting for my cousin to park the car. Once we got on the boat, we decided to eat since the slots weren't open yet. The food was horrible.. they had slimy bagged lettuce, overcooked scalloped potatoes, something they called stir fry, stale rolls, roast beef, and stuffed fish. The only edible thing was the roast beef and it tasted like nothing. After the buffet, we waited for the slots to open but no one told us when they would be coming on. When they did finally come on, half of them were broken and they did nothing but eat your money. You were then stuck on the boat after losing all of your money with no other entertainment or things to do. I've never seen so many dejected looking people in my life. The boat rocked uncontrollably and people were puking everywhere. Everything about this experience was horrible. If you're wise, you wont waste your time with Suncruz.

I have to let you know I had been on the Suncruz casino boat in Little River S.C.many times, with fair experiences, but the story I am about to tell you now is TRUE! I went on the boat this one time, and I had the free "one visit" buffet. I did notice that the salad didn't look right, but I took it anyway. along with the over cooked runny scrambled eggs, and the spicy sausage meat patty's, There was something else on the buffet that said it was beef tips, but it was a greenish color, so I passed on it. (I have to let you know the beef tips that the employees were getting later on, were nice color brown, and looked appetizing,) I was on the 1 hour out, 3 hours gambling, and 1 hour back trip. When I went back to my condo, and the next day I was in serious pain. I got the tomato disease from the ship. I was sick for a full week, and actually thought I was going to die. If you plan on going on the cruz, please do not eat the food. spare your self the possibility of getting serious food poisoning. as far as anything else on the boat, most of the employees are nice, (the buffet servers could maybe smile a bit more)I do not play tables, only slots, The waitresses are not the hottest in the land, but who says that they need to be hot. as long as they are accomodating, and friendly. One more thing I am a gold card member, but in any event, make sure they do not cheat you out of your cash back, and points on your comps. I had over 2000 in comp points, and was going there on an annual basis, all the time within the said time(withn a year) so my points would not expire, and when I went on the boat they tried to tell me I used my points, when I was purposely saving them until I came back to get somethng better from the gift shop. Yes I was upset, but they didn't even try to help me with the problem. They have camera's and surveillance all over the ship, they could have proved I even tried to use them, but they had no excuse or explanation for that either. As far as the 10 buck port tax, bull shi?!. I was told it was only 7 bux for the south carolina gvt, and they kept the other 3 to recoup for the buffet. If you want to just gamble your money, the cruz is ok at best, I just wish that there were more choices for gambling other that onland bingo, and lottery.

I have sailed Sun Cruz in Little River many times. Always find the dealers nice, and helpful. I play craps. I take the morning cruise. Always room at the Craps tables then. They have two, and only one open during the week. Weekends, and in season there are more people. Food is good, but not great. I have built up my players card good, so I don[t have to pay for anything. All in all, I go for the gaming. No problems.

Why are these employees so nervous? Everyone looks like they hate their jobs. I have never been gambling and been sooo bored? what happend to sun cruz? I was on here a year ago and had the best time. I had a funny dealer who talked to everyone and was really putting on a show for us. Even the other dealers were enjoying him. Me and My friends were in love with the cocktail servers, and now they are Ugly in personality and looks. And the part that is the worst is I won a couple grand and had the worst time doing it.? food sucked like usual, no more hot waitress's, no fun. old, boring, uptight.

OK the people below me seemed to enjoy it but let me tell you about our experience. We(a party of 6) when on Feb.14,2009 on the evening cruise. First of all we stood in line for 2 hours to get our meal ticket(had coupon)and get our players card. The food was horrible. Then this ship was way over booked we over heard some staff saying that there was almost 800 passenger's. So therefore you could not get to any gaming tables and nearly impossible to find slot machines available. Yes the deal is you get free drinks while gaming well when you can not get on tables or slots you don't get drinks. And when you do it would take 45 Min's to get them if you ever did get them which we did not. I think they should give everyone free drinks just to get them drunk so they don't realise how horrible time they are having. It was so bad that people where everywhere(benches, seats, corners and floors) asleep because you could not move or do anything. Unless you wanted to go pay $6.00 for watered down drinks. This was the worst experience and the longest 5 hours and it was HOT of my life. We will never return to suncruz or their partner ships and would not recommend it to anyone. Everyone on our bus approx. 33 people all felt the same way. Consider yourself warned! Do take motion sickness pills it was very choppy but none of us got sick do to taking Dramamine.

We went on the am cruise . It was very rough on the water. We would have like to have been more prepared for feeling sick but there was nothing posted about the seas. When we got on, we had no idea where to go, we had coupons and got the run around until finally a waitress told us we had to go all the way back down stairs to redeem our coupon. Ok, so once we got our gross, old tasting food from the "once through" "buffett", we had to wait for an hour to get out to sea to even gamble. Once the casino opened, we had a blast!! We played craps...blackjack...and very little slots. We had endless alcohol to drink from some very beautiful waitress's. We had a great time playing around with a few dealers and cocktail waitress's. Pit boss's were way to serious and not so friendly. Over all, this cruise on a scale of one to ten was a 8. The food was just horrible, the ride out took forever to get out and even longer to get back. The dealers were nice and helpful. The waitress's were very attentive and sweet. I would recommend this boat but I would tell you to eat before you come, and ask questions as soon as you get on the boat so lost.

This is not a big fancy cruise ship, but it is comfortable. They take you jout in the ocean to gamble. Provide you with a nasty tasting buffet, but by the time they get out into the zone to gamble your either already drunk or on your way. I do not drink, but had more fun watching these people gamble, get sick, throw up and then do it all over again.
It was a fun day and I'd do it again.

My husband and I went on the boat for the first time and we loved it. It has everything we could have wanted.Wehave been to vegas many times and to Atlantic city, the dealers are horribly rude there, well that's certainly not the case on this boat! We had a dealer named Patrick who was so sweet and had lots to converse about. The best time We've had in so long!!

This is not a fixed location casino...It is a full service casino cruise ship that actually sets sail. It is not as big as most casinos I have been too, but its adequate. The boat has three decks consisting of table games on the lower deck surrounded by slots, slots on the second deck, slots and a texas holdem pit on the third deck. It has a bar on the lower deck as well as a buffet on the upper deck. However you can't purchase alcohol or play any games or slots until you reach international waters which takes about an hour give or take. The buffet is bland and not the greatest so I reccommend eating before you go. The cruise is fun although I wish there were more table games as they get crowded at times. As long as you are playing games drinks are free too which is nice, although they are pretty watered down. If you are wanting to gamble though this is the spot and it gets the job done, plus its nice to get out on the water.

PROS: gambling, texas holdem, free drinks, free admission (after joining)
CONS: buffet is bland, drinks are watered down, limited gambling time
