I need to say something here about Willow Creek Apts. Those making all the nasty accuzations are either trouble makers, or have been evicted for non payment of rent or for lease violations. Maintenance staff is very nice & responds promptly to everyone that I know of that has called them. The office help is firm, yet very nice. Especially the new girl. She is very helpful and understanding to problems. Needed this girl a long time ago! Lies are being told about the bugs. I have lived here for six years, and even though help is sometimes shorthanded for whatever reason, the job always gets done. Pay your rent and mind your own business, and you will have a nice place to live here. Only people with an ax to grind are complaining. The neighborhood is very nice, & so are the people in it.

There isnt enough space to tell you how bad these apartments truly are. Maintanence takes forever to come out. The onsite management is rude and very disrespectful. The facilities are riddled with a black mole that grows due to the poor window fixtures and airflow systems. Phillips Management who is the administrative office over this site never takes phone calls and if they ever do they respond to you about three days later and with no results. I would not recommend these apartments to my worst enemy.

I have been living at Willow Creek for a few years, my lease is about to be up and I can't wait to get out of here. Every maintenance request takes WEEKS to get solved -- if they remember you requested maintenance at all. It's a fight to get your apartment treated by the exterminator service -- let alone twice in a row if there's actually a problem.

My water gets cut off randomly without any notice and when I call to ask what's going on all I get for an answer is "repairs" and they don't know when they get the water back on, and it usually takes a few hours -- don't try and get ready for work!

The bugs are out of control, the apartments are falling apart and the maintenance solutions are shotty, temporary fixes.

The management in the office is absolutely useless and won't help you at all unless you are inquiring about moving in. After they have your money and your lease signed, it's like pulling teeth to get anything done or any questions answered.

Overall, I can't wait to move. Save your money and keep it away from Willow Creek.

May 2009:
Please do not be fooled by the outside perception of the leasing consultants and property manager. Willow Creek apartments are a horrible place to live. I lived there for three years. One was great then after they fired the best maintenance man alive, the final two years were horrible. I had to beg for any maintenance service including pest control and repairing a water leak from my toilet. The situation was finally so bad that I was keeping written documentation of everything including my requests for service. I have never been so happy to see the end of a lease before in my life. Good riddens.

When my family and I first moved to this establishment, we were thrilled. However as management changed, so does the environment. You are always threatened with eviction, even if payments are lost. Maintenance is horrible, in fact, no one could explain the green goo and mildew that constantly grew on my vents.maintenance would just paint over it. No screens on the windows. Random gunfire, drug deals in broad daylight, and etc. Alert the office and surprise surprise--no alerts to the community or anything.

Unless you are made of money and like being threatened with eviction, Willow Creek is not the place you want to be. My girlfriend and I have always paid rent on time and never been late for two years. The first time we pay... or should I say TRY to pay later than the 1st, we are threatened with eviction. We mailed the June rent (and late fee) and the check for rent for July, both, on the same day. They took us to court for June, and claimed they never got either payment and refused to wait for the payments to show up at corporate. After they mysteriously got the June payment, they still claimed that the July rent has not shown up. We were then threatened with eviction again. After we go get a money order to pay the "unpaid" July rent (and late fee) the check shows up, then it is deposited AFTER we have given the payment to the office. So after having to take a long lunch to remain in good standing, I have to leave work early because the payment just showed up at corporate (4:30pm on a Thursday). After waiting in the lobby on the other side of the open glass door, obviously waiting on her, I watch her look at me and laugh with whom I though was a tenant, she strolls out to me. Management then says I can deposit the money order into my account the following day since there was no way I??d make it before banks closed. Then I discover that they have already put the money order in the complex??s name, which means I can??t cash it. When bringing this to the manager??s attention, she is more concerned with he friend that she is leaving the office with. She brushes me off, and then continues on laughing while I am still standing there.
Management felt that waiving the late fee for July was enough to compensate for these threats and inconveniences. On top of all this, we have had a hole in our downstairs bathroom and upstairs in the washer and dryer closet for over a month now. This was caused by the next door neighbor's washer connection not being checked when the post move check was done. They claimed that it would be only a few days to let it dry out before the repairs were made.
It is obvious that our payments were held, then deposited at their own convenience, while we were punish for non-payment. I would not recommend Willow Creek to anyone.

We have had a lot of bad experiences with apartments and were pretty pessimistic when we first moved in, however we love living here! We live in a two bedroom town home- the bedrooms are roomy, the kitchen and rest of the downstairs is spacious, the appliances are all in working order, except for our dishwasher which was handled as soon as we called the office about it... a new one was ordered and installed as soon as it arrived. The maintenance has been fantastic- very friendly and they have fixed any problems in a timely fashion, the office followed up on any maintenance that was done to make sure things were done right and fixed. All of the items that we listed on the move-in inventory were fixed... things that weren't a big deal like a small tear in the back screen. The area is nice, occasionally there are some loud teenagers running around, but not often and they aren't troublesome. Mostly the complex is older people and young families. Our neighbors are all nice. The grounds are well kept.
My only complaints would be that the tennis court is not well kept and does not have a net, and that there are a couple of mailboxes that are broken, not mine so it doesn't really bother me but it is slightly unnerving. Other than that we have really enjoyed our experience here. We have a 1 year lease and plan to renew at the end of it. It's a great place for small families. Worth the price.

Pros: Great service, Friendly Staff, Spacious town homes, Well kept grounds, Timely Maintenance, Convenient to Interstates and shopping and restaurants
Cons: Tennis court has no net and is not well kept, A couple of broken mailboxes

Would DEFINITELY recommend!!!

When we moved to Willow Creek Apartments, we were starry eyed newly weds. We just knew we were in a nice environment. For some, this place would have been satisfactory, but not for us. We had mold to deal with that was just painted over and when it rained, it soaked our carpet. It wasn't a good experience at all.
