Hyundai Oriental Grocery & Gft

The selection and prices are quite good, but what makes Hyundai so outstanding has to be the wonderfully personal service given to every customer. If you are looking for a particular sauce, for example, you will be given helpful suggestions on other sauces that you might like as well. It's always an enjoyable experience shopping here.

Although I sometimes feel a bit awkward as the lone white girl, I love this store.

The staff is always polite and friendly. They'll ask if you need help--if you don't, then they let you shop in peace; if you do, then they will try and help you find what you need.

They have a *huge* selection of ramen bowls. They also sell some cases of Ramune soda, those delicious sugar stars, and Kasugai gummy candies. The prices are much more reasonable than, say, Suncoast or the Internet. It's fun to look through the snack food aisle.

As a bonus, they sell Korean CDs! They're of pop groups, mostly; I can't read Korean, so I tend to buy CDs and hope for the best. I've found some fun bands this way. They also have Korean stationary and teeny-tiny origami papers.

The best part: On your way out, if the cashier remembers, they'll reach into a little cooler and give you a parting gift! It's always a tiny yogurt drink--and it's absolutely delicious. I bought a pack of the drinks because the Hyundai's parting gift was so yummy. I love the fact that they *thank you* for your business. That's so cool.

Highly recommended! I need to shop there more often!

PROS: They give you neat yogurt drinks! They have Ramune soda! The staff rocks.
CONS: Odd hours. Weird location.
