We worked with Carrie MacAlexander to host our wedding reception at Clarion a couple years ago. Our experience was excellent. Any request we made was met, both by hotel staff and by the catering/banquet staff. The banquet halls seat more than almost any other venu in Columbia (other than a couple other hotels and Leaway). We sat over 300 comfortably, with a large dancefloor, room for a band, and plenty of room for food.
They offer plated dinners, buffet dinners, and buffet appetizer options. Our dinner included lamb lollipops, filets, and chicken breasts, all of which were superb. I was unhappy with the original salad that we tasted, so the head chef worked with me to create a winter salad of my own design.
In total, the dinner plates were just under $30 a piece, which was quite reasonable for the quality of the food.
Another major benefit to using Clarion is that they offered two complimentary Sunday brunch tickets for each hotel room we purchased for our guests, and ended up comping all the rest of the brunches that our guests ate the morning after the wedding. Brunch was fantastic.
I highly recommend using Clarion for your catering and banquet needs.
