Took my 2.5 lb yorkie there after she collapsed. They told me that she was still breathing but her veins had collapsed and they had to do a cutdown for IV access. The vet said her glucose was ok but her bp was low so he "loaded" her with fluid. He came back out and said her breathing became irregular and he had to place a breathing tube and there was blood in her lungs. He was insistent that we had dropped her or sat on her. He wouldnt do an xray stating she was "too unstable". Yet he brought her out to us off of oxygen to say goodbye to because they told us to leave and they would call us if something happened. Again he stated that he "loaded" her with fluid and its "hard to treat something if you cant tell me what happened", I asked him if loading a 2.5 lb puppy with fluid would have caused pulmonary edema and thats why her breathing became irregular and he stated "I didnt give her that much". When I went to leave, they told me the estimate was $840 and I needed to put half down. I told them I ran out with her in my pajamas and I would call them with my credit card number. The girl said I couldnt do that. I again told her I was in my pajamas, she checked with the office manager and came back and said if I didnt call back in one hour they would withdraw treatment. So they would have killed the puppy if I couldnt pay. Sadly my puppy passed away. In the middle of my daughters and I crying, the tech came in to give us an estimate and was joking around with their office cat. It was very inappropriate I felt.

If I had another option, I would have taken my dog to another facility taht evening. Unfortunately, it was an emergency and they were the only vet in town! It was dirty for one and Dr. Hooker was the most rude, inconsiderate and cold doctor I've ever dealt with!!! He and the staff were uncaring and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this unless this is your ONLY option.

If it's an emergency situation, then obviously the pet "parent" is already upset. These folks did nothing to help ease our worries. The facility was old, and not exactly tiddy. The vet's assistant was rude, callus and just plain mean. She referred to my baby as the wrong gender several times, when corrected she ignored me rushing my husband and me into the lobby. Good thing this place is for emergencies only, otherwise, they'd have no business. With a scale of 1 to 10...I've give them a 1.

No one wants to have a pet emergency but if you do, these guys are well prepared to handle it. They are open all night while your normal vet is closed. Prices are reasonable considering this is emergency care.
