My family just relocated to Lyman from Rock Hill, SC. When asking about local restaurants, everyone we spoke to told us to go to the Lyman Cafe. Man were they right. They have the most awesome buffet I've ever seen. There is something for everyone. My children are crazy about the fried chicken and Macaroni pie. I'm in love with the country steak and gravy, hate to say it but it's better than my grandmothers. We recently took some visiting relatives there for Sunday lunch. They were so impressed that they told us that they would be back to visit just to eat at Lyman Cafe.
The staff are super friendly and my tea glass was constantly being refilled. I forgot to mention that the fried chicken is out of this world!
So, if you're looking for great place to take the family with awesome food and a friendly hometown atmosphere, go to Lyman Cafe,

PROS: Great homestlye cooking. Family friendly atmosphere.
CONS: Buffet lines can get a little long after church on Sunday. Go early
