BBS Computers works on the computers where I work, so when I had a problem with my home internet I called one of the BBS Computers guys that works at my office. He met me after work and resolved my problems. The cable company had been working on it for weeks. I just wished I had of called BBS Computers sooner.

My wife ordered a Dell computer from Dell earlier this year and I spilled a coke on the keys. I called Dell, but since it was an accident it was not covered by warranty. I read online that BBS Computers works on Dell computers so I called them up and they came to my house and took the laptop apart and cleaned out the coke and cleaned everything with alcohol or something. It now works great and all I can say is thank you for saving my marriage.

My old laptop finally died and I got a good deal on a new one from the folks at BBS. They were to take all my photos and music off my old laptop and put them on the new one! I took my new laptop home and it was just like the old on but a lot faster.

My laptop would not connect to the internet. It turned out my son had downloaded a virus over the weekend. I needed my laptop for work so I opted for a same day diagnostic. I received a call 3 hours later with repair options and 24 hours later I had my laptop back in perfect working condition!

Tech took days to call me back and couldn't give details of issue with my computer just price tag to fix it. Meanwhile I decided $200 was out of my budget and would find a way to do it myself. After bringing computer home the problem I had was now nonexistant. I pushed 2 buttons and fixed it myself for free. Sales clerk is terrible, impolite, and doesn't care about his job. Passes everything off and blames crappy information (and lack of work ethic) on technicians instead of looking in the notes section for information on customer order number. Terrible place and I will never go back!!!!

After two hours trying to set up, I needed help. Service techs would not talk you through as front desk person stated they would. I was quoted a price of $325.00 for them to come out and set up. Not in my buget! The price of computer was reasonable, just a little mark-up from Dell website. Front desk people have to refer just about each question to manager or techs. Recommend independent service from elsewhere.

I needed my computer fixed fast and BBS Computers had a technician at my house the same day I called. My computer had viruses and was running slow. I haven't had any more problems since it was fixed and the computer is faster then when it was brand new.

There prices are lowest in Charleston. They were even cheaper than Best Buy. I got a dual core computer for $425. Plus they still have computers with Windows XP. I don't like Vista. The sales person was very nice.

I purchased a Vostro 200 Dell computer on 4/8/08 from this store. I bought the cpu and the 1 yr extended warranty plan. Less than a week later I discovered the brand new Dell I purchased had a failing hard drive. I was skiddish and wanted my money back. Be advised there is a "no refund" policy. I was adamant and the sales representative called his mgr. and advised me that BBS would take the cpu back with 15% restock fee. I paid for a new CPU not one that was rebuilt.. which is what I suspected. There were several inconsistencies as well with the package advertised in the store for the cpu and what i actually rec'd. The advertisement stated I had the option of receiving Windows XP or Vista. Joey insisted that XP was the only OS avail. I later called and spoke with another rep that confirmed that I had a choice of OS. I was also quoted the price for my machine that I purchased for 499 as 445. It sounded like price gouging to me. He also advised that the total RAM that I should've rrec'd was 2GB. I only rec'd 1GB. I called to tell him on Friday 18th. I would be coming to the store to return the system. I arrived there to hear the story that none of the mgrs. remembered telling the previous rep that assisted me that I would be entitled a refund. Finally I was offered the option of leaving the cpu at the store and waiting on Monday for a refund. WHAT??? I never heard of such a thing. I promptly informed the rep that the frustration over one cpu was too much. I use the system for on-line classes and could not be w/o a machine until Mon.
The staff is courteous and professional but they have to rely on mgmt. that instructs them to behave in a manner counterproductive to the virility of this small business. (right across from Best Buy) Consumers in this economy we need to ensure our dollar goes greater distances.

I paid for the 2 day diagnostic and dropped the computer off Thursday evening with them telling me that I would hear back by Monday at 9pm at the latest. When I hadn't heard from anyone by 8:30 I called and left a message (they were closed) asking them to call me. The next day I received a call in which I was told generally what the issue was and when I asked about the write-up I was told it was an extra $100.00 (never told to me initially) Having already invested the initial money I went with it and was told it would be done by the following afternoon. I called the following evening having not received any response and was told "by 8pm guaranteed you should hear from us" Nothing. I went by the next day since it was supposedly guaranteed done and they did not have the write up. I had to come back for it. I was disappointed that it did not include items that were on the sheet I had left and I told the young lady at the front that it needed that information. She sent an e-mail to the tech who did the diagnostic letting him know I needed it adjusted with that info included and still as of the next day I have heard nothing. I have paid 125.00 and still don't have all of the information I requested in the first place nor do I have any idea when I will be able to get in touch with the actually guy who ran the diagnostics in the first place.
