This is a great place to take your children. I am a single parent and my kids love movies. So it is affordable for me rather than spending $6.00 per child and then spending $9.00 on myself plus the cost of snacks. It is not the best movie theater, but it's well worth it. I have not had any problems out of the staff and everyone is pretty nice. All I can say is thank you for the inexpensive outing the my family can have because of this movie theater....Thanks

We were unable to buy a ticket until 15 minutes before the show because they shut everything down between movies. The game-room was shut down. The movie started 10 minutes late, The movie screen went black halfway through the movie and we had to wait for it to restart and by then, we missed part of the movie. It was hot and stuffy in the theatre, no air. When we expressed concerns to the owner, he was very rude to the us. He was not concerned with customer service AT ALL. His response was that this is a family owned theatre and they will run things how they want to run them. Next time, I will rent the movie and stay home.

Pros: price

Cons: atmosphere, quality, customer service, delivery of service

As a grad student who wants to enjoy the finer things in life (like going out to a movie), but doesn't always have the cash to shell out for that (student loans, anyone?), this theatre is like a breath of fresh air. So what that the movies are a little old--I am a patient person, and I can wait for a movie to pop up here. The staff has always been extremely helpful, and they are very nice. I love the kitschy feel of the place; it embraces the fact that it doesn't have the newest, latest technology or overstuffed chairs. It is merely there to provide a good movie experience for a good price. Where else can you go see a movie in a theatre setting for less than you can rent three movies from Blockbuster? Or, look at it this way: my boyfriend and I recently went to see a movie, and we bought our tickets, popcorn, a drink and a box of candy for less than it was normally cost to just buy tickets at a regular cinema. That's pretty awesome. I am so glad that Columbia has a place like this.

PROS: Excellent price, friendly staff, good selection of movies, some stadium setting, clean bathrooms, good snacks

CONS: Cash only (bad for those of us who are addicted to our debit cards), some of the theatres don't have stadium setting (but I still didn't have a problem seeing the screen)

I take my family here all the time. Why? Where else can you catch a big screen flick for $1.50?? The theaters are spacious and are generally in good condition, though we occasionally happen upon a broken chair or sticky floors.

We've always received friendly service which more than makes up for it.

And the popcorn? You must have hit a bad day. They pop it fresh there. The mega-theaters have gone away from that! My kids love going to the movies, and I love not having to take out a loan to do it.

PROS: freshly popped popcorn, inexpensive family fare, friendly service
CONS: sometime sticky floors, broken chairs, older facility

The staff is very helpful and nice, and the theatres themselves are nice and roomy. The only problem with the the theatres I had was the popcorn -- it was very bland, and actually, disgusting. Aside from that though, it was a good theatre.
