I first went to this japanese retaurant 14 years ago and was just in town 14 years later. It was still the same-nice quiet, tucked back in a back lot.It is a small place with tables and a bar.All the typical japanese sushi bar fare.I like that the menus still had photos of what you well get.The prices were great, with the largest sushi/sashimi plate at $16.75. I've been to other sushi bars that had more of a variety and a little more flair, but this one is very good to calm that sushi crave you might get from time o time-clean,affordable,quiet and the menus have photos.

Pros: affordable,quiet,clean,japanese

Cons: small and a bit crowded when busy, not as much challenging variety of seafood as others

To start, this cute little restaurant is back behind stores right off of Forest Drive. The waitors are all freindly and cute. There is always faint Japanese music playing in the background, and it is decorated with nice Japanese paintings. It is set up so you can watch your food being cooked or sushi being rolled (not in your face like a Japanese steak house). It is never loud, and is perfect for anything from a family meal to a quiet date. The prices are all great, and I've never selected something off of the menu I didn't like. All of the sushi is fresh and delicious. Even dishes like chicken teryaki (spelling?) and tempura, and more are great. Perhaps the best part of the entire meal is the complimentary salad. The dressing is a ginger dressing like no other. It is absolutely devine! I don't know of anything else I can praise...Sakura is just wonderful.
