These poor animals need help!!! I can see why PETA has been investigating them! It's so dangerous for the animals! A cows horns (yes a cow can have horns) got stuck in my car, another inch and the airbag would have taken the cows head

I recently visited the Spartanburg fair this weekend and visited the Hollywild animals that were for show. Unfortunately we arrived as they were packing up the animals so we were just watching and my child was interested by how large the camels were. We are watching the owner (David Meeks) loading the camels up, as we could see the camels were NOTready to go. They were giving him a fit and he became VERY frustrated with them, so he insisited on punching and smacking at them. (With a huge crowd standing there watching him) I saw a lady video taping this with her camera about the time he noticed it to. He became overwhelmed with anger and began yelling at her to put her camera away and she should have got there earlier, etc. EXTREMELY rude and unappropriate behavior for a "professional" individual! He then began yelling at the crowd and he requested 'security'. He then jumped up over the gate like he was getting ready to come out and fight with another man who was standing in the crowd, defending his wife (the lady with the camera), because David was being so hateful and rude! With this being said I will NEVER visit Hollywild do again NOR any of their attractions that may be anywhere. At the end of the day Im afraid to know what these poor animals go through when no one is standing there to see it!

This place is horrible!!! The animals are very mistreated, sores all over them and they look like they are straving. The place in general is flithy. If you want to see animals in the wild, go to Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain ,GA. We have been three times and it is a awesome experience for children as well as adults.

I own a variety of animals and study daily on care of them and others including wild animals. so I was excited to take my kids there because they are animal nuts too. We were so DISGUSTED with the treatment those animals have there. The day was very hot in the upper 80s and most of the animals had NO water at all. And the few that did it had a green slime over it. The large pony/small horse had rain rot on most of its back and to relieve the itching it had to role in its own manure. The timber wolf's ears had maggots falling off of them because they were so bitten up. There was a duck that had its eyes crusted over and it kept walking into things because it couldn't see. So how could it eat or drink? My six year old son just picked it up and he did it without chasing it. There is others I can list but not enough room. So if you want to go and spend $47 on 4 tickets and a little cup of dog food (you are suppose to feed that to the goats and such) go ahead. But I'm happy to share my pictures of abused animals that can be fixed for free or just a little bit of elbow grease but they were to busy setting up for someone's birthday party and washing out garbage cans. While the poor animals were standing there silently begging for the water that was watering the grass. Please contact me if you have any thoughts on this problem or how we can fix it. If they are over taxed I will even take some of the horses and that poor wolf. Also don't bother with the animal show it was a boa, llama and tortoise. And the girl couldn't answer any questions. The cages are NOT the animals natural environment either and way to small for most. And the animals that were put together that shouldn't be. Any way overcrowded too.If you want to go please become educated on what animals should look like and how they should be cared before you go and you will agree with me.

Hollywild Zoo is a great place for anyone to visit. Whether you are visiting by yourself or if you are a parent bringing the whole family the experience will be great. Most of the animals are allowed to roam freely and are not caged so they are not as withdrawled as the animals in a zoo in which we are used to. Although I have only been in the summer months, I have heard that the Christmas light display is stunning and beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Hollywild's best feature is that it is unique. Many animals are roaming around so you can see them in a more natural habitat. The drive through the park is wonderfully exciting- for adults and even more so for kids. I have not been at Christmas but I hear the light exhibition is amazing. Their prices are very reasonable!

Hollywild Animal Park is so much more than a zoo. There are many different types of animals to observe, as well as interact with in a petting zoo. It also offers safari-type rides in an open air bus to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Some animals are even available to be fed. The park is great for tour groups, parties, and field trips. At Christmas, there is a great light display that you can drive through. It is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive!
