A disappointing place to live. Complaints to fix problems go unanswered for days or not at all. The place is next to a bar and there's constantly broken glass in the parking lot that looks like it's been carpet bombed. Bats in the roof. Limited parking. The manager (Grace Property management) says that over-flow parking is on the street but then one is in city violation if one parks on the street for longer than 12 hours. Many of the entry doors are painted black when after a few hours of sun exposure burn the skin when touched. Graffiti spray painted on the buildings. It's very advisable to use the laundry mat across the street as when onsite facilities are working they are more expensive. The stairs are ready to collapse. While the apartments have a TV antenna hookup the owner refuses to fix the antennas. The wires for phone and cable TV are shot. The cops are constantly at the complex. There are bricks that are falling out of the buildings. The garbage removal is horrendous and there's usually NO room in the dumpster so one must toss trash along side of it. The hallways smell and look like they haven't been cleaned in decades. So RUN and not walk away from the place.

These apartments are decent as far as apartments go. I lived in a one-bedroom on the second floor. Pretty tiny place. Small living room, walk-through kitchen, small bedroom, small bathroom. Decent closet space in bedroom. Okay sized apartment for one person. The floor was thin though. Or maybe the person downstairs was just abnormally loud. But I could hear her music, t.v., talking, yelling, etc. all the time. Frustrating. I rarely heard the people next to me though. A short walk to USD campus which was nice.

The property manager at the time (2003-2004) was not very good. He never answered his phone. When you needed him to fix or look at something it would take days and days. Example: the water in my bathtub wouldn't shut off. It wasn't just dripping, it was running. It took a few days for him to come over to look at it and a few more days to get someone in to fix it. That is unacceptable.

Other than some issues like that, it was a fairly decent place to live.
