Great food, I just love this place for the food that they serve. They have so many great and wonderful food to go around, the prices are not that steep to, that is a plus.

I love to have lunch at Baja but at 12:00 noon there is no parking, so try afternoon or dinner instead.. Tip ...move to location with parking

The burritos are great, busting at the seams with lots of yummy ingredients. The chicken is cooked just right and the service is always fast and friendly. I also like the fish tacos. The chips are always fresh and lots of good salsa

There is something about their fish tacos and burritos that are addictive. IMO, better than San Diego fish tacos (i.e. Rubios). Fun, festive, atmoshere, although it will be busy (crowded and loud) around lunch and dinner time. Still, the food has always been worth it.

Pros: Great taste

Baja Burrito has good food, a clean environment and is definitely unique to Nashville but it is not Chipotle. I did enjoy the variety of food items and the service was great. I recommend experiencing it but again I am biased to Chipotle.
4Baja burrito has awesome fish tacos. Their salsa's taste so good and fresh! It is a little americanized but we still love it!! My only negative is really the attitude of a worker there. She made a snide comment about me to another coworker. I overheard her and wanted to respond but I didn't want to cause a scene. My friends and I will continue eating there but if we see her at the register we turn around and leave. Beware of bad attitudes!!

Cons: bad attitudes, a little dirty looking
"A friend introduced me to San Diego style Fish Tacos almost 15 years ago now and I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with them. Since I'm from Ohio, finding the same taste as a San Diego FINS or WAHOO or any number of other places out there has been quite a difficult task. Anytime I visit a city I search online for any place in that city that might serve Fish Tacos and give them a try.
Well, I must say, the moment I tasted the Fish Tacos from BAJA BURRITO in Nashville, I knew I had found the exact taste I was looking for. They are as EXACT as anything in San Diego, and eating them was just amazing. It's like San Diego was literally transplanted into the heart of County Music... how wild is that.
Not only were the fish tacos just incredible, but the whole experience was an A+ all the way around. I loved the atmosphere. The chips were simply perfect. The guacamole was as good as I've ever had. My wife had a burrito and just loved it. And the staff were very very friendly and helpful. What a great, great experience all the way around.
Personally, I'll find a way to get to the Nashville Baja Burrito if I'm within an hour of Nashville... it was that great."

Pros: Best Fish Tacos in Midwest
First, you line up with a gaggle of cackling sorority girls hugging and kissing everybody they see and a bunch of tattooed jocks with biceps larger than their brains. Then, after you get the ?food?, people slam into you and knock things out of your hands while shuffling around in front of the condiments as if they?re trying to figure out the controls on a Boeing 747. Next, choose your seat: if you?re right at home with a decibel level that rivals an AC/DC concert, sit inside, but if exhaust fumes are your thing, try the patio. Aside from this wonderful ambiance, the gummy burritos filled with starch are awful, too. I?d steer clear of this moron-filled flophouse unless you?re one of the forementioned cackling sorority girls, tattooed jocks etc., etc., etc.

Pros: The Salads are really good.
Cons: The sit-in patrons are insane.
Chicken is dry and fatty. Nothing special here, I would eat it if there were no other options around.

Pros: Love mexican
Cons: just not this place
I am so glad to come on here and see so many fantastic reviews for Baja. My co-workers and I all pile up into two or three cars and head out there for lunch every Thursday (...although this week we also went on Tuesday...can't get enough). You can't beat the atmosphere or the price and even the parking isn't so bad if you know the secrets and you aren't too lazy to walk a few feet (There's plenty of parking reserved for Baja in the Wolf Camera parking lot). As a vegetarian, this place makes it so easy for me to enjoy a super delicious meal.
The staff is also extremely friendly, and they all remember us and our orders each week (I'm especially fond of the cashier...she kind of rocks). I run into someone I know almost every week and it isn't even surprising anymore (I guess I'm glad to have chosen friends with great taste!)
Sitting inside is fun, but sitting outside creates the best dining experience. We often comment that we feel like we're somewhere secluded on a beach when we sit out there, which says a lot since Thompson Lane is on the other side of the railing.
Don't miss out on: The green salsa, fruit tea, and Las Paletas popsicles (If you haven't checked Las Paletas out please make your way to that page immediately...mmm)

Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Flavor
Cons: The line is pretty long around lunch time...but it moves so quickly you don't really notice
We LOVE Baja Burrito! It's always packed, but the line moves efficiently and you get your food quickly. It's clean, the people are friendly, and the burritos are to die for. I especially love the "El Pescador" burrito (it's like a fish taco burrito with crispy fish, shredded cabbage, and a creamy sauce). My husband loves the chicken. And the guacamole is delicious, too! One note, though -- the small burrito is PLENTY, even for a big guy (my husband doesn't usually go for things that say "small," but the small burrito at Baja is perfect for him). This place is highly recommended!

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nada!
One of my favorite of Baja Burrito's features is its salsa bar. They offer a pretty decent variety of spicy, mild and in-between salsas, and the absolute king is the pineapple. I never had any idea pineapple could make such a deliciously tropical salsa. There is also a patio out front that makes for a lovely afternoon dining spot. One of my favorites, in fact. Nashville certainly can't boast too many West Coast style burrito joints, but this one makes up for the dozens of greasy joints all over the city.

I love Baja Burrito! Our whole family loves B.B. Its the one place that my kids request often. Very kid-friendly! We love to eat outside and now that spring is here, we have been there every weekend. The staff is always very nice and it seems like I always see someone that I know there. The pineapple salsa is great and so is the fruit tea.
Don't listen to the guy below -FoodCritic- sounds like he must work for Moe's because NOBODY wants Moe's when they can have Baja Burrito and that is for sure!! EAT LOCAL!!

Pros: friendly, great food , consistent
Cons: parking!!!
Parking is tight, place is too small, long waiting line. Definity not the best burrito in Nashville. It tastes like anyone can make their own at home. For the best burrito in Nashville, I'd rather go to Moe's Southwestern Grill, its like no other!

Baja is GRRREAT!!!! I love the chicken burritos. I discovered this place when I was a student at Lipscomb. I have been going ever since. I have not found a comparable burrito place ANYWHERE. The staff is very friendly and courteous. No wait really...other then the line. The only negative I would say for Baja Burrito is the line and parking for customers because it is always crowded.

The service is fast, however you feel rushed. The food is rather generic, not worth the price. I guess if Baja was the only place open I would eat here again, however, not worth the price or the headache!

Pros: Quick, Scrumptious, Great Price, Great Fruit Tea <3
Cons: Sometimes too crowded, the meat sometimes isn't hot
I'll give any restaurant several tries, especially a restaurant that everyone raves about, but this one is 0 for 4. After 3 encounters with loosely rolled softball-shaped burritos, not-the-cleanest floors and tables, skimpy sprinkles of cheese, and dry meats served in tiny portions I was dragged back for a fourth visit by another prosthelytizing friend. A friendly burrito-builder (the staff IS always friendly and helpful here) offered up a special recommendation from behind the counter: spicy chicken burrito topped with the white sauce that goes on the fish tacos. I took him up on the offer only to be left with something that tasted like a mayonnaise and chili powder laden tuna melt gone awry, again in the shape of a softball and impossible to eat like an actual burrito. Baja Burrito wins the award for the first build-your-own burrito shop in Nashville, but I can only hope that time will bring us something a little tastier.

I say cafeteria because that is exactly what it's like, you wait in a cafateria line and point to what you want in your burrito. Try their Fish burrito with the white salsa.

Cons: very little parking
I wished the food wasn't so good. Today was the 2nd time I've visited & I doubt I'll go back. The food is fantastic but the parking lot is way too small, there's no place to park & people are going everywhere and the inside isn't any better you trip all over other people just to get your salsa & drink. The owners really need to consider moving locations because it's ridiculous. It's not worth a head-on collision that I almost had.

I miss the "burritos as big as your head" from college, but I found them again at Baja Burrito. They're even better here, with fresh ingredients including Pico and Guacamole. They even recently added melted cheese to their menu if you're looking for a little kick. Check out the Veggie burrito if you're looking for a meatless meal. It can be hectic because the place is so popular, but just get in line, tell 'em what you want, and you're all set.

Loved the burritos and the salsa bar is awesome! The only thing I would change would be the parking and the rush in the line...these people are having to get people in and out of this small independent resturant! My friend had the fish burrito and I have to say that next time that is going to me my choice also!

I am a serious burrito connoisseur and I vote this the best, biggest, non-greasy, healthy burrito in town. The atmosphere is best on Saturday, mid-day, as the hung-over crowd packs in still in their sweats. Don't discount the indoor atmostphere just because there's a cute patio- the inside is decorated in fabulous bright colors and is just as fun.

I was planning to hopefully boost the reputation of Baja Burrito with a nice review, but it looks like I am a little late for that. Baja is and has been what my wife and I call "our place" since we discovered it for ourselves years ago. However I can only reccomend one thing the "steak burrito" cause it is the only thing I ever get cause I can't seem to pass it up. My wife however branches out all the time to try new things only making it harder on herself to make a decision the next time she orders as she is yet to try something she hasn't loved. But not only are the burritos great, the chips and different salsa (I prefer the mild for the flavor) are incredible. Not to mention the delicious guacamole we get as well. And the best part is we can get all that with drinks and tip for right at $20. It's one of the best deals in Nashville, and all they can do to get better is to open one closer to me!

Cons: Parking at the one by 100 oaks.
Baja Burrito is by far the most solid restaurant in Nashville. I usually avoid places that serve large portions...but this place is wonderful. The key is they use quality, fresh ingredients. Parking can be a pain because the place is always crowded. Go to Baja Burrito--you will not be disappointed.

Pros: Inexpensive, Tasty

Sure it's crowded, sure the menu is relatively limited, sure parking is a bear, but you can't beat the value or the serving sizes or the quality. It's worth the wait for the delicious, filling, cheap food!

Pros: Great food, Outside eating, Speedy food
Cons: Parking (no parking), Long lines, Limited menu
This is a great restaurant for family friends or even to take an artist during a lunch studio session......fish tacos, fresh and great service....can't ask for more for a fun lunch!
PROS: taste, atmosphere
CONS: none
Baha Burrito offers a buffet-style ordering system, where you request whatever ingredients you want on your Mexican creation as you move through the line. Tacos, burritos, and salads make up the bulk of the menu, and lots of great toppings abound. The hardest part of eating here is making up your mind about what to order.

Being transplanted from California, this reminds me of the great CA Mexican food. Not the Tex-Mex stuff of which I am not a fan of. Try the fish tacos, they are THE BEST!

What I can about this place that others haven't - not much. The best hand rolled burritos in town, made to order, fresh ingredients, great salsa bar and friendly staff!
Parking can be hard to find, but it's worth the hunt for a spot for the tasty food inside.

Pros: fresh ingredients, inexpensive
Cons: parking, not open on Sunday
Build your own burrito, Subway style. The food is fresh, the salsa is outstanding, and the staff is very friendly. I only wish there were more locations so that maybe it wouldn't be so crowded. The crowd is just further proof that Baja is amazing! I love it and tend to crave it fort-nightly!

I go to Baja Burrito more than once a month, and it's wonderful. It has a great atmosphere and friendly workers. Baja is also a great place to get a bite to eat and see a movie in quick amount of time. Finally you get a lot for a cheap price.
