Went the night of August 20th, kind of a cool place but the service really stinks. The waiter would disappear and they were not busy at all. I don't know what he was doing. He brought half of the food for us and then the rest of it about

This place is absolutely awesome! I go in here all the time with friends and family and they want to go back frequently. First off, the beer is unbelievably good. Take some time and talk to one of the brewers or owners and you'll find out

This place is simply great. I live nearby and go there ALL the time. The beer is great, and the food is too. Try the BBQ Chipotle pork with the gouda grits! SO GOOD! Also the yellowfin tuna sandwich is also great. (I would recommend

We love microbrewed beer. This place brews some really good beer. The food.... Not so much. We were on our way to a concert and wanted a quick bite and a brew. I had a boring and bland pizza and my wife had shephards pie that tasted

The beer was good, the service was good, the food was so-so.

What I found amusing is that as I was leaving I saw a sign which had a a picture of a handgun with a circle and a slash.

There I was having lunch with a loaded .45 caliber

The food was excellent, and very well presented. The micro-brewed beers were just incredible! Our server was awesome. Everything was also very reasonably priced. Great experience!

I love this place. I lived in Nashville for 3 years, and went several times a week. The Nut Brown Ale is the best. When I was most recently back in town after not living there for several years, the bartender remembered me, my order, and asked about my friend I used to go in with. So needless to say, the service is great.

Blackstone's is one of our favorite places to go before a Nashville Predator hockey game. The food is good, ranging from pizzas & burgers, to fancier entrees. My favorite is their Artichoke Chicken with Pasta entree. Their lunch menu does not include all of their dinner entrees but features general pub fare. The service is excellent. It's located on West End just south of the where it splits from Broadway.

I would like to segment out this review in 2 separate categories. This is a brew pub and they brew their own beer so the first category is beer. The second is food. I am a seasoned traveler and homebrewer.

The beer is all a brewpub should be. Each beer I had was delivered with the perfect head with no smell or hint of stale beer lines. Being a homebrewer myself I know it's a challenge to keep all beer lines and parts perfectly clean. From experience I can tell this beer was delivered in clean lines with the right amount of carbonation.

The seasonal SAISON was just a treat. I could spend 3 paragraphs on this but I won't. It was truly a treat to drink. The RED ale was my personal favorite for everyday drinking. I tasted a harvest brew which was also great to drink. My least favorite was the lighter pale ale. I'm not a fan of lighter ales but this was a far better tasting light ale than what I'm used to. You can't go wrong with any beer, they are all good.

I am very particular about my bar food. Good beer deserves the best company of good eats. I ordered three items on 2 separate days. Consistency was perfect as each day I tried the tasty appetizers they were exactly the same. The wings are some of the best wings I've ever had. The heat is enough to cause a sniffle and the flavor is extremely balanced. There is a hint of butter balanced with the spice. The wings were served hot without burning them. The sauce was drizzeled over each wing coating each wing with just the right amount of sauce.

The artichoke spinach dip is flat out one of the best I've ever had. Just order it.

The pizza has a thin crust that appears to be burned or charred on the bottom, or so I thought. The crust is phenomenal. It is crispy with small grains of flavor cooked on the bottom. The cheese and toppings were the perfect balance with either pesto or red sauce, both which are great.

Service was great both with Amy and another fine gent bartender.

I have to own up that even though I'm a regular, I've never moved past the bar area -- there's just been no need! There's always plenty of seating, whether I want to eat at a table, have drinks with friends, or sidle up to the bar. The beer is consistently good -- the nut brown is the best -- and they have an assortment of good salads and sandwiches. My one complaint is that they limit their vegetarian options at dinner time. No major loss, however, as the signature salad is more than enough on its own!

Nice place located near Vanderbilt on West End. Unique restaurant that has their own brewery inside the restaurant. Their Beer selections are tasty. The food is average.. not great but not terrible either. Not a place I go out of my way to go to, but if you have never been I think it is a place you should check out.

OK, so I admit I made three trips here in the two weeks I spent in Nashville. The first time was for some beer sampling before a dinner elsewhere. Well, sold! The red ale was about the most addiciting thing since Caribbean rainforest zip lines. Beyond tasty. The next trip we ordered pizza which was really tasty and went perfect with the beer. Third trip was just a hamburger and a beer, but it could have been a cheese sandwich for all I care. The beer here is excellent and can compete with anything I've had foreign or domestic.

I LOVE this place. It is by far the best brewpub in Nashville. Whenever I'm in town i have to stop in and get some Great food and Great beer. Fish and Chips, Ribs, Filet, Pork Tenderloin, just to name a few are all fantastic...especially the Fish and Chips. The apps are also amazing especially the artichoke dip, nachos (which just seem to taste better than most other places and i cant put my finger on exactly why..maybe the black beans?), and glorious wings. Great thin crust pizzas too. Wonderful beer that in my opinion totally beats Boscos and knocks Yazoo out of the water. Its really not hard to see why they've won so many awards for the beer. Porter-Probably the best I've have ever had. Nut Brown-Great. Chaser-Taste like a kolch should but I dont like kolchs. Red Springs-Great amber and one of my favorites. The only downfall in my opinion is they usually don't have very many hoppy beers on...other than the Amber. And i am a hop guy. I wish they would put their AMAZING IPA on all the time, but what can you do. If you like beer and know anything about it you will see that this place does everything right. Food is also Great. You just cant beat it. Period!

Blackstone is above and beyond the best brewery in Nashville. They recently aquired a new Chef, so they are providing daily lunch and dinner specials that have been wonderful and new "soup of the day" options that use seasonal ingredients and are equally great. The previously reviewed "spill in the brewery" smell is called BREWING BEER! If you don't want to experience hand-crafted perfection, then I do advise against going during lunch hours, as that's when the brewers work. Brewing beer involves a process in which hot lauder, or mash, is madeand this does produce and odor.. I personally, find this smell nice. It can be floral, or, ir you're lucky, they are brewing Nut Brown, which is wonderfully sweet and malty, and just down right makes you hungry! So, any time you're there and smell the BEER BREWING IN THE BREWERY, poke you're head around the corner and watch the guys work. You might learn a thing or two like I did;and maybe not seem so ignorant on your next "review".

I went during the lunch hour. We got seated promptly and our waiter was very good. But the food was just ok and something had been spilled in the brewery and made everything smell REALLY BAD. I've been to brewery restaurants and had much better food than this. It just kind of seemed to be an over priced novelty restaurant type of food. I'd have rather gone to Rainforest Cafe or Hard Rock Cafe and gotten the better smell and ambience and pay for their over priced food than eating at Blackstone. It just didn't give me a good first impression.

Wonderful!!! The place was fabulous in every way - good beer, good food, good service and good atmosphere.

Give some serious thought to ordering off the Pub Specialities portion of the menu - the food is unique and yummy. The shepherd's pie was piping hot and full of flavor, the steak & biscuits were tender and the perfect amount, the ribeye juicy and full of flavor. I'm told the garlic potatoes were good, and the lemon caper chicken came with a full plate of fresh (not canned) vegetables.

Dessert - you have to try the Raspberry Bash. I would drive to Nashville just to have that again.

Check it out - it's worth it!

About every month or so I pay a visit to Blackstone Brewery. The chipotle pork loin, served with gouda grits, and asparagus, rocks my world. I highly recommend this place.

We always head to Blackstone's before a Predators Game! The service is fabulous and they help us get out in time to get to the GEC. Our favorite menu items include Shepherd's Pie, Fish 'n' Chips, and of course, the pizzas! There is something for everyone. Of course, our favorite Blackstone beer would be the Chaser Pale! Also, we like that we can buy it in the grocery now!! It's a party favorite!

i have been dining here for the four years i have lived in nashville. i have yet to have a bad meal, food wise. the service has NEVER been good, but i accept that when i go.

the pizzas are amazing, especially the santa fe pizza. the vegetarian lasagna is good, as is the black bean burger (not on the dinner menu, but is available). the pretzels are also very good. the mustands are great with them!

it can get crowded, so we just go to the bar and get a drink.

i take everyone from out of town here, and they always rave about the food as well and ask to go back.

My husband & I went to blackstone recently after having lived in Nashville for 7 years and never having been there...wished we'd kept it that way! Maybe they have good beer, but that's all you might want to go for!!! I had the salmon which smelled so bad I could hardly eat it and my husband had the trout which he had to pour salt on and tear the skin off the bottom. Plus to make it worse the decor looks like a mid 1990's steak house threw up in there! We will not be going back.

Very nice place to chill. Went on last night (Thursday) with a friend, sat outside, had drinks, dinner (Bacon burger - good), dessert (Death by Chocolate - VERY good) and lingered. Nice atmosphere and excellent service: the server gave us prompt attention and we never felt rushed. I'll go back.

We visited Nashville the last weekend in March and had read a good review of this restaurant, so thought we would give it a try. It was also across the street from our hotel, so it was very convenient. The host/manager and the hostess could not have been ruder. We were looking a menu while we waited for a table, and the hostess litteraly snatched the menu from my friend's hand and threw it on the counter when she came to seat us! The food was mediocre, but the beer was good. The mashed potatoes were good, but the ceaser was too cheesy. Our server Tim V was very friendly, and deserves to work somewhere else! He was too good for this place!

I moved from Nashville to a smaller town a few years back. Last year I took my husband (from San Francisco) to Blackstone for dinner. He went nuts! Their pizzas are so delicious--non-greasy, perfect. Artichoke dip is an 11+. Atmosphere to die for! Blackstone is to weekend hangouts what Davis Kidd is to books. Pros outweight cons 1 million to one.

Upon entering you have a good view of the entire brewing process thanks to a windowed area. There are also tanks right out in the waiting area for you to see. The atmosphere is very dark and woody, and they have one of the largest collections of beer bottles I have ever seen! Since the place was already pretty busy on a Sunday night, we got a seat in "the library", which was actually very cool. You sit in an inset room with couches and coffee tables and eat right there, surrounded by books! I would recommend asking to sit there if you have the chance.

Blackstone has about 12 taps, and all are devoted to the house draughts.

The server was good but very harried, it looked like he was covering the entire bar area himself.

The burgers we ordered were both very good, and the fries were tasty.

I've been a Blackstone customer for years. My kids have grown up at the place. They love it. If you feel English, try the Fish and Chips. They are the best on this side of the Atlantic. Their filet is the best cut of meat you will find for the price in Nashville. The brick oven pizzas, the pan seared trout, the artichoke chicken pasta, the ribs... I can go on an on. Don't get me started about the beer. They are all truely world class. My favorite is the St. Charles Porter. You won't find a better porter anywhere in the world!!!

Service was prompt but waitress never came back to check on drinks until she delivered the food. The menu has a variety of cuisines and the food is good and servings are generous. The bar and front room are cozy but the main dining area lacks atmosphere. This was my second visit and I will return, there are many more items I want to try.

This is a great place to get a personal pizza if you want something a little more "gourmet" than Pizza Hut. It is a delicious crust w/ a long list of choices of toppings, brick-oven style. Try the bacon & goat cheese, YUM! YUM! Oh yeah, the beer is good, too!

I went last night, with my father, and we had the English Fish and Chips. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I AM GOING BACK SOON! Huge platter of fish. And it was cheap. Just $9.50. Im splitting it with whoever I go because they are TOO generous with the portions. And the service was excellant. He took care of us, so we took care of him with a huge tip! Everyone go! ITS GREAT FOOD!

We hosted a dinner for 40 people at Blackstone and we could not have been happier with the results. The event planner, Sue, was incredibly helpful during the planning stages. When we arrived, everything was set to our specifications. The wait staff was very friendly and "on top of their game". The management was also quite attentive to our party and it all made for a comfortable, yet fun, environment.

The food was also delicious - no small feat when perparing for 40 diners. We wish we were local - we would have many events at Blackstone!

Pros: Great for large parti, Management and staff, atmosphere
