These people, not going to call them vets, a vet would help animals,
they let my baby die. offered them over $80.00 to help him.
They wouldn't help him until they run expensive tests.
Just a blood test was going to be close to $300.00.
They knew what was wrong with him, I knew.
He had problems with it before, overactive thyroid.
Very treatable with medication.
They could have given him medication for $80.00.
But all they are interested in is making all the money they can, not helping animals.
They will even set you up a monthly pay plan, but want access to your bank account.
If you have lots of money, they might help your animal.
if not better find help elsewhere.
They probably turn away lots of animals that don't have lots of money.

We took our older pet to this vet because it was located conveniently for us and we were new to Chattanooga. Our pet had an apparent rash that was causing her to lose fur all over her body. The vet discovered our pet had developed a minor skin infection due to allergies.
The veterinarian was very knowledgeable about the latest and greatest treatments, however, the latest and greatest was all they would offer. Furthermore, much of the rationale for the expensive treatments were couched in the "guilt trip" of how we were not giving our pet the very best and that the condition would persist if we didn't go all-out. We were not given any less-expensive alternatives to treat the condition.

To fix the issue, we were handed a bill for nearly $800 that included everything from shots, shampoos, anti-fungal medications, future immunotherapy sessions, the office visit itself and several other preventative measures. To add to our frustration, we were kept in the exam room for nearly 90 minutes with different technicians coming in and out trying to sell us on all the benefits of paying for these multiple and expensive treatments.

Needless to say, we rejected all treatments except the antibiotic. The skin irritation cleared up right away and has not returned- something the vet predicted would certainly happen.

I am not saying don't try this vet; it is a matter of deciding if over-treating a simple condition is something you actually do want. But if cost is a concern, and you want simple and less expensive options, you might think about alternative vets.
