    After having issues with appointments being cancelled and never re-scheduled, having multiple crowns before one finally took, and them forgetting x-rays, the last straw was today. During a tornado, the office manager asked everyone to leave the office, as a tree fell down out front. This was her response to Luken asking to lock down. Not to mention, they never came back. I'm going to the other Castle Dental office in Hixson, and then I'm changing insurance.

    First temp crown fell off in 3 days, make that crumbled in my mouth! Went back for replacement and assistant tried to fit one without success. She left it too high, didn't even try and use blue marker paper to check contact. Told her it was too high but she said I would get used to it. Mouth and jaw so painful cannot chew on that side. Repeated biting on jaw caused from teeth not making contact. Went to another dentist following week. Confirmed no contact being made but he couldn't even get temp off to fix or replace it. He did his best to file down some without numbing but still not good. Went to GP this week, thought I had sinus infection, which turned out to still be problems with tooth. Swelling and severe pain. Ended up with 1 shot and 2 scripts. Do not want to go back to them for placement of perm crown but they already have my money. Have asked for refund so I can go to reputable dentist. We will see if they comply. Scared of what else is going to happen.

    In addition to poor telephone service (a 15 min hold time to make an appointment), a 45 minute delay to see a hygienist and then being told that my wait was justified since I was ""2 minutes"" late, I had to have my x-rays done 3 times because the tech was incapable of getting the proper pictures. During my visit, while stuck in the chair several employees complained about the dentist whom they worked for to one another while one was in tears. And that was just my FIRST phone call & visit. \r\n\r\nAfter my second visit where I received the ""deep cleaning"" which I was assured was covered and approved by our insurance we received a $400+ bill in the mail. Needless to say we were surprised and disappointed. The administrative assistant in charge of collections explained that the procedure had been scheduled improperly BY HER OFFICE and therefore our insurance wasn't going to cover it. This meant we would be responsible for paying for the cleaning out of pocket. Despite admitting error on their part she threatened to send the bill to collections if we didn't pay immediately.\r\n\r\nSix months later when I called to make my next cleaning appointment, I was put on hold for 10-plus minutes and then told that I needed to make two separate appointments for a routine cleaning. She explained that I would need to be seen first to be diagnosed and then on another day for the actual cleaning. Fearing a repeat of my last experience, I disconnected as quickly as possible. \r\n\r\nObviously, the office is poorly run and the staffs customer service skills leave much to be desired. In addition, the facility appears to be run down and outdated. I would not suggest Castle Dental to ANYONE in Chattanooga.\r\n

    The Orthodontist said I would not be charged for a new retainer if I went and got my teeth shaped. Well when I got that done, then came to get my new retainer, the office manager said the orthodontist is just an employee and was not authorized to make that decision, so I had to pay them $440.00 for a new retainer. What could I do but bend over and take it? Without a retainer my teeth will shift back and I would have wasted 4k.....but you can guarantee that is the last dime of my $ they will ever see, and I will tell all the people who were wanting braces that I know, to go anywhere else. Also during my treatment they said it would take 18months....it took 3 1/2 yrs....and they switched orthodontists 3 times!!!!!!
