I had been thinking about getting my nipples pierced for quite a long time and I finally got up the guts to do it. I did my research and found Icon Tattoo & Piercing, looked at their portfolios (quite impressive). When I got there I was really nervous, but I talked to the counter person and their piercer (Seth D) and was assured it wouldn't be that bad. They are very knowledgeable and more than willing to explain everything to you. I have very sensitive skin and allergic to most metals, but they only use the highest quality jewelry available (internally threaded, implant grade) so you're pretty much guaranteed not to have any reactions to their jewelry. Once I got back to the piercing room, Seth was very nice and calming and talked me through everything. The piercing wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be! He was very through with the aftercare and my piercings healed up quickly without any problems. I HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone who wants to get a high quality piercing by experienced piercers.
Pros: Clean shop, the best quality jewelry, experienced staff
Cons: Jewelry is a little more than other places, but worth it!!!
I went in on a whim on last Saturday night to get the tattoo i've wanted for quite some time. My design was quickly drawn up and my artist William did a fantastic job. He talked to me through the whole tattoo and it turned out fantastic. I got the words "I will never follow" on my left foot and it cost $80. It was a little pricey but I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Great Service and by far the cleanest shop i've ever been in.
Pros: Extremley Clean, Nice Artists, Quick
Cons: A Little Pricey
My boyfriend had an old tattoo that he wanted covered up and we decided to go to Icon Tattoo at the Murfreesboro location. With the help of the tattoo artist he picked out what he wanted as the cover-up tattoo. I have gotten a couple piercings there in the past and I was very happy with the service and the outcome. The most recent visits were not the case. The customer service was not the best; but I have to be honest and say the quality of the tattoo was not impressive at all; especially considering how expensive it was. ($800.00!!!!) I do not speak for any of the other tattoo artists there! Their work may be a much higher quality compared to the artist we had. The tattoo was going to be worked on in 4 sessions at $200 a pop for a tatt the size of a Nerf football. There were a couple sessions that didn't even last an hour. We had an appointment to come in for the first session and we made a 3 hour trip from east TN back to Murfreesboro early to make it to the shop on time. As soon as we pulled into the Icon parking lot, we got a phone call (only 8 minutes before the appointment time) - to be told that the artist wouldn't be able to do the session that day because they were not feeling well and that we would not be able to be fit in the schedule until the next week. Very frustrating! This happened once more but it was some other situation going on at Icon. The tattoo has numerous and obvious flaws. (The lines of the design do not match up, curves in the lines that are not supposed to be there, design is not symmetrical, etc.) The worst part is that the old tattoo still obviously shows through the new one in several spots! This experience was enough to make me go elsewhere for getting any tattoos in the future. I would definitely recommend looking at the tattoo artist's portfolio of their work before you let them do your tattoo! By doing this, you will probably save yourself a lot of money and have a piece of artwork on your body that you can be proud of.
Pros: clean, fun/ funky atmosphere
Cons: poor quality tattoo for WAY too much money
about 2 weeks ago i turned 18 and wanted to got a tattoo and everywhere i went the tattoo artist were really rude. i guess they didnt take me serious because of my young age but i went to ICONS in murfreesboro and i honestly sat in there for an hour talking to the artist about tattoos. they answered every questions i had and gave me really helpful advice. the prices were really good and there building and supplies were really clean. i paid $120 for nine 1 1/2 inch letters. Mark did my tattoo and he was really good. i plan on going back in a few weeks to get another one and i plan on using mark again. mark had no problem letting all my friends come back and take pictures of me getting the tattoo. i would recomend anyone to go to icons in murfessboro.
I got a tattoo at Icon from Will and he did a fantastic job. He was extremely friendly and helpful from the first day I walked in with my picture and ideas up to the day he actually did my tattoo. You can tell that he puts a lot of time and thought into the drawings that he does and gives consideration to how it is going to transfer to skin and location. He also gave his thoughts and ideas about color choices based on my skin tone and how it would hold up over time. All in all, I would definately recommend Will to anyone considering getting a tattoo and I would go back myself. I have also being pierced at Icon and that experience was great as well. Very clean shop and very friendly staff. My tattoo did not even scab over....I followed all the instructions that Will gave me and it healed up perfectly with no scabbing!!
Pros: Excellent customer service before, during, and after
Cons: None
Just received my first tattoo, inked by Will. I visited several shops, and this had the friendliest staff. Will took the time to listen to what I was wanting, and offer advice on the design. The finished work looks great, and I'll be getting more work done. They're readily available for questions afterward.
Pros: Clean, plenty of free parking, friendly
Cons: non
I have gotten two tattoos from this place and neither time would they setup their instruments in front of me. This has finally made me uncomfortable enough to never go back. That, in addition to the fact that they act insulted that I would even dare to ask them to do so.
Pros: Clean
Cons: Unkind staff, Unaccomodating staff, Parking
I got a cover-up tattoo from Will, and I do not hesitate to say that he is a professional in every sense of the word. Excellent customer service, sincerity, artistry, and great "bedside manner." The shop itself is immaculate, with a great selection of images. I would recommend them to anyone.
Pros: Great Price, Honesty, Cleanliness
Cons: absolutely none
