Third trip to get my car aligned. Apparently this is the only place in Nashville that can do it. Called first "sure, we can fit you right in". Lady actually said they were waiting for me when I got there. Two and a half hours later, sitting in the lobby sweating my ass off (yeah, no a/c in the building) this idiot tells me "we ain't gonna git r dun today." Really? "But you can leave it" Its a fuggin front end alignment. You said bring it. You can't manage to squeeze in a thirty minute job while waiting three hours for parts on another job, and you want me to leave my car with you??? Doubt it, ill take it to Kentucky to get an alignment.

I brought our family van in for estimate,noise coming from engine compartment.Mechanic said idler pulley,gave estimate i agreed.After paying then starting up van, i heard same noise i approached mechanic,He seemed irritated but said he'd listen again then told me it was smog pump,i agreed to pay for repair,after for paying for that.The mechanic said could make noise for 500 miles,after 1,500 miles still makes same noise.I talked to Johnny B, himself...he seemed very apologetic, and promised satisfaction but never came through.Would not recommend to others!.

My name is Earl Zei and I own E-Z Kitchens, a cabinet shop around the corner from Johnny B's- I've taken my personal and shop vehicles to him since he opened 13 years ago. Most of the mechanics have been there since the beginning, so I know they must be treated well, and they all treat me very well. At least 10 of my employees over the years have become Johnny B regulars- we find the pricing to be very fair, the turn around time great, and everyone there, including the front desk people and the mechanics have had a great attitude EVERY time we go there. My wife has had some questionable treatment at a few other local garages, but she actually looks forward to going to Johnny's for oil changes to get a chance to say hi. It's been nice to see another business owner that takes care of people the way Johnny does (and the way we do) he's one of only 3 or 4 businesses that I am totally comfortable recommending.

I brought the car in for an estimate. They do have a sign posted saying that there is a $30 minimum charge, which seems reasonable. When the mechanic called with the estimate it seemed high and important information about the problem had clearly not been passed on by the receptionist. I told them I wasn't ready to pay that much yet and that I'd be by to pick up the car. When I came in they wanted to charge me $70 for fixing nothing. When I asked him for a break down of the charges he was very rude (on the phone as well). He was charging me $30 for work that was only done because information wasn't passed onto him from the receptionist. When I said that I didn't think that was fair because a) it was work I didn't ask for; b) he should have spoken to me to get approval before doing the work anyway, he missed my point completely and said, "How do you think I can figure out what is wrong? Do you think it's see through?"

After some bickering he did knock the price down by $30, but I am left with the feeling that I would not have been treated in such a condescending manner had I been a man. I will never go back, but if you do, I would recommend talking with the mechanic before you leave so they are clear on what you want done and how much work you want them to do before they call and get approval to proceed.

Not only is he trustworthy, he is an honest and fair businessman which is very few and far between in these days. Being a non-profit and having very little cash flow, this man from his heart time and time again helps us by given the best price possible and if we have to take our vehicles back, he is gracious to do the right thing. You can TRUST Johnny B's. I highly recommend them. Shannon in the business office is a girl of high integrity and is friendly and always helpful. Again, you can't go wrong at Johnny B's.
