Mojo's has the best wings in town. This restaruant is located off West End near Vanderbilt. It has a bar type atmosphere and great food. The Wings are the best and biggest in town. They have three different flavors you can pick from. Be sure to bring your appetitie and a fresh shirt you are bound to get the sauce on you when you attack these wings.
Pros: Affordable, Great Food and atmosphere
FIRST TIME FOR LUNCH GREAT FOOD SOMEWHAT SPICY, GOOD PORTIONS, REASONABLE PRICED, GREAT SELECTIONS OF BEER, WILL GO BACK AND TAKE A FEW FRIENDS AND WILL BE ON THE WEEKEND THIS TIME
Pros: FOOD, ATMOSPHERE,OUTDOORS, SERVICE, LOCATION
I hate to say it, because I have been a regular at the Brewhouse (3-4 times per week for lunch/dinner/drinks) for months. I have brought NUMEROUS friends around there and gotten them hooked. I have always had great service! However, I accidentally left my cell phone there on a Saturday. I went back on Sunday morning and it wasn't there. No big deal, my own fault, right? Wrong. A friend of mine said he turned it in to the bouncer because he didn't know it was mine. So I called back and asked them if they could call the bouncer to see if he had placed it somewhere they hadn't checked, and they said they were going to call right away and get back to me that evening. Well, I called the next Monday evening to check because I hadn't heard and got yelled at for calling. Called Tuesday to check back, was told never to call again, and was hung up on. I am a very polite person, and never accused anyone of anything (just wanted to see if the bouncer had put it somewhere else). So I called back, said that I believe I was disconnected, was yelled at some more, and finally said I was filing a police report on their employee. About 5 minutes later (while on the phone with Metro), I get a call saying that the bouncer found my phone and had it at his house. A little suspicious, no?
Sadly, I will NEVER go back there again. I am absolutely APPALLED by the way I was treated. The same people who had given me great service before were absolutely beyond rude. And the knowledge that a BOUNCER would not turn in a missing cell phone, instead keeping it (perhaps to use or sell, thinking there was a SIM card he could remove - not the case, sorry) until I threaten, and begin to, file a police report? Wouldn't have thought this before, but the thought crossed my mind as the people got meaner and meaner. And unfortunately, it looks like this might have been the case...
Right on Zavman! I do quite a bit of traveling and have frequented many bars over the years and the Brewhouse is my favorite by far. Jemma is a big part of the reason I continue to return during my Nashville visits. There are times I where I haven't been in town for months but when I pull up to the bar at the Brewhouse, Jemma will have my favorite beer in front of me before my butt hits the stool. She and the rest of the staff do not suffer fools gladly so if your obnoxious, can't hold your liquor or are just plain rude, I suggest trying a different establishment.
Pros: Staff, Beer
...that last review reminds me of the first time I got drunk in public too. Service at the Brew? Kills. Especially when there are a bunch of low life college kids on twofer night who expect everything without throwing a tip to the bartenders. I still get my drink in a professional and timely manner. I think the only thing that bites about the brew are the people who don't get it. Especially when they go all premature postal because they can't handle themselves in a 'real' bar. I'm sure it's all much better at Bennigan's...
I have been taking drinks from Jemma and eating the screaming hot wings at the Brew for a long time. Good Food/Good People in a perfectly unassuming setting. When I read these 'amateur' review sites there's always some arrogant soul who writes scathingly about a joint that just don't deserve it. I would love to see what she would say about CBGB's in it's prime....
Get a friggin' life.
Pros: cold drinks, good service
Cons: whining customers
To be fair, I went to this bar about five times before writing this review. I understand that sometimes you're just going to have a bad experience somewhere, however this is not the case here! This bar had the worst service of anywhere I've ever been! It's a big problem when the rudest people in the bar are the managers! I finally asked for a manager the fourth time we went in there and this rude girl named Gema? came over and treated us worse than the servers and bartenders who ignore everyone except their friends. I have no idea how this place even functions, when it's obvious that it's run by a bunch of bitchy highschool kids. I work in the service industry and understand a lot that goes on in a bar environment, but this place should think about re-staffing immediately! The only good thing I can say about the place is that their food is wonderful...if you're lucky enough to get served!
On the flip side of things, the reason I gave them a chance is because I'm a regular at the Brewhouse Downtown, which has great service. They recommended I try the midtown location because of atmosphere. I hated to tell them of my experience, but it's the truth!
Pros: Big beer selections...good food
Cons: everything else...especially the staff
From cold beer to great food to the nicest staff in Nashville, the midtown Broadway Brewhouse really takes care of you. I just wish they had underground parking so I wasn't worried that my boss would see my car there at 4:30 on a Wednesday....
Pros: Beer, food, people
Cons: Closed for eight hours (3a-11a) each day.
I wouldnt support a local business that does not support the local Hockey team. i would not patronize a business that has no interest in giving back to the community
This is a cool bar to hangout, drink, & eat......but don't expect to get prompt, friendly service! You don't even get a smile out of a few of the servers. It seems as though they dread being there. So if you can overlook that, you should enjoy your time. The cajun food tastes very authentic, & the beer selection is large.
Pros: beer, food, patio
Cons: service, service, service
I have gon to this brewery 3 times after my local soccer games and I like their amber cider beer, but I must say that most of the waitress have a bad additude. It seems as though you have to ask them for everything like the menu's a refill or additional beer, and or just to place a food order. They don't seem to understand to come back and check on the customers periodically. I recommend to go on days they have two for ones and maybe eat before you go. Dont expect the best customer service. it does have a nice local its indoor and outdoor and that part is attractive.
Cons: Bad service
This place has food that prison riots were made of. And, you could grow old waiting for someone to wait on you. Went there late, and one of the owners was drunk and berating a staff member. Nice. Stay Away.
Cons: Food, Staff, Owners
If you like to watch the tourist find a table near the bar on the street. Or when there is live music you can "HOLLAR & SWALLAR"!!! I have been here at all hours and the bartenders are great and atmosphere is jumpin'. I have even met and seen the owners there on many occasions, they blend in with the crowd. I was sitting at the table and struck up a conversation and did not even know it was one of the owners. I recommend this bar/restaurant to any of my friend visiting Nashville. (You can even watch that crazy Tootsies crowd without being involved!)
Pros: You can sit inside or semi-outside
Cons: Parking...as with any downtown club
My husband and I think this place is the coolest. Its a neighborhood bar and grill that we frequent even though we don't live in the neighbohood. The cajun food tastes homemade and the paper plates keeps things from being serious along with the berr on tap.
First off, I patronize this place at-least once a week with a group of friends after work, and I can almost guarantee you that the reason our last two commentators were treated with attitudes is because they walked in with attitudes. The staff at Broadway Brewhouse will treat you how you treat them. After all, its a bar. Act civil and you will be treated with civility.
Secondly, this is, in my own Born-&-Raised-Here opinion, the best bar in Nashville. With an extensive beer list, nice crowd, casual setting, and an honest staff, what more do you want in a neighborhood bar?
Thirdly, dont crowd the joint. I like this place the way it is. If you want to join the crowd, go somewhere else. Im sure the owners would love to pocket your sweaty tourist money, but Im the one writing this thing so dont crowd me.
On the other hand, if you want to throw down a few cold ones, play a round of darts, and enjoy some good-old-fashioned trash talk, Ill see you there.
One more thing. Dont touch the Ring-Swing in the back. That thing is frustratingly addictive.
My husband & I were in the Broadway Brew House several times during our stay in Nashville.
The best beer which we drink back home was Blue Moon.
It was on draft in alot of the places we stopped at, but always went back to the Brewery.
Was impressed at the number of drafts they offer
The mural of Blue Moon on the outer deck was super we have it on a cameara phone it was great.
I also have a wooden crated that I got at the Brewery of Blue Moon the bartender deserves a big thank you again for that one.
I will go back to the Broadway Brewery next year on my trip to Nashville it was worth the trip.

Pros: walked to everything
love there drink specials in the Brewhouse, love the old dive bar feel of the place, great beer selecion, good music cool crowd:)
go here is u just want to chill be mellow and drink!
Pros: cheapppp, good selection, good location
Cons: bathrooms, parking
great selection of beer; bottles and drafts, full liquor bar and great food. So many regulars make you feel at home along with the great staff. Fun place to hang out with friends have some beers and wings and play some golden tee.
Pros: inexpensive , parking , fun place
While I haven't had too much experience with the Brewhouse side, my family and I usually enter the Mojo Grill side of the establishment. The wings are the best in Nashville, and the red beans & rice, bread, & spicy ranch dressing are unbeatable. The staff & cooks at Mojo are so friendly & helpful, & almost all of them know my 2 year old son by name. Usually the guys in our group will go to the bar to get their beers & then come back to the front. The only complaint is the bathrooms. As a mom we laugh & go out to the car to change our children. There's hardly room for the adult to use the restroom! Overall, this is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville, & it's very kid friendly, especially if you sit in the enclosed front porch.
Pros: Food!! Best wings, Cooks and staff, Good prices
Cons: Bathrooms, Long wait at bar side
It's everything a bar should be, excellent beer selection and drink specials, awesome food, and a kick @$$ staff. Throw in the cool crowd and you've found the perfect bar - The Brewhouse!!
Pros: beer, food, staff
They've got a few cute ones and if you can get their attention, service will be fine. Never had a problem getting served there. Food is okay - not stellar, but the beer selection more than makes up for it. Good watering hole central to Mid-Town.
Pros: selection, atmoshpere, seating
I have a theory. The bartenders use one of those dartboards hanging on the 'walk of small bathrooms' to determine their attitude for the night. Only problem is the bullseye is the only one that reads 'nice and happy' - and they're not dart players. If they're not happy to work there - then DON'T. Love the atmosphere. Love the Sunday night special. HATE the bar staff and that's a reason I'll never go there again. Pretty sad. I've never been chased away from a bar by their staff.
Cons: service, service, service
A ditto to the "Rude" poster. Longtime brewhouser, recently disgruntled. The bartender they mention just has an attitude problem in general. Been going for 3 years, stepped up to the bar and waited for about 5 minutes while said bartender yapped away with some other people. Another regular came up beside me, she took his order and ignored me even after he mentioned I'd been waiting longer. Love the selection, hate some of the rude/indifferent bartenders. While Mojo's has been improving, it seems like the Brewhouse side has been going downhill for the last year or so. Get it together guys.
Pros: Best selection, Nice regulars, great specials
Cons: rude bartenders, crappy stools, no parking
