Has to be the most horrible hospital in the Southeast and easily the worst place I have ever been to be seen for anything. My wife and I plus her parents are filing a lawsuit due to the fact that the E.R. people prescribed a drug to my mother in law that has been recalled for months and could have killed her.

It was horrible ...they were more worried about figuring out if I was some kind of junky or something when I was not even asking for meds...some lady came in with a chart that she had pulled up with the prescriptions listed that I had been given over the last several months and acted like I was a criminal...I FELL IN A 18 FOOT DITCH IN IRAQ.....OF COURSE I AM GOING TO BE ON SOME NARCOTICS......rediculuos

My family moved to McMinnville Tennessee approximately 2 yrs ago. One of the first comments I heard about this town was "Don't take your family to our hospital !!!" I heard many other negative comments concerning the hospital but never gave it much thought until the staff at this hospital effected me personally. My daughter was involved in a semi-serious accident in which she was transported by EMS to the hospital ER, she was awake (Thank God) and doing okay, however she was complaining of her head hurting and her right side numb and tingling. She had MANY visible minor cuts and scraps from the auto glass breaking all over her.We spent approximately 3.5 hours in the ER , my daughter having had scans and etc... to make sure was not hurt internally. When the ER doctor cleared my daughter from serious injury, they proceeded to remove her from the back board she was on and....... and ...... NOTHING MORE!!!!! As she was lifted from the board, glass was falling all over. Was the doctor concerned that she had cuts under her clothes or glass in her skin surface?? No he acted more like a immature teenager and said "she's a girl I will let you take her clothes off " so I did and as she did found several more minor/visible cuts from the glass.Did anyone from the ER bother to treat these cuts and scrapes? Did they bother to see if there was glass in her hair, or embedded in her skin?? NO!! they didn't even as much as CLEAN her cuts!!! Yes she left the hospital the same exact way that she arrived blood stains and all, minus the scans that were done on her. Oh, I was told by the ER doctor that "You can treat those wounds at home with Neosporin" My daughter was never asked if she needed anything for pain, her vital signs were never taken, and I think in the total 3.5 hours spent we actually seen the ER staff for no more than a total of 5 minutes!!!! To say the very least I was appalled at the service this ER facility gave to my daughter and my family. I don't know what more to say than I should have listened to the advise of the people of McMinnville, and I will NOT be taking my family back to River Park Hospital if I can help it. As a side note, I took my daughter to my family doctor two days later and he was 100% more thorough, he genuinely cared for her, asked my daughter questions, had X-rays (which were not taken @ the ER) and treated her for muscle spasms in her neck and shoulder. Somehow I can figure his bill is going to be a lot easier to take than the ER bill.

I think that the emergency department isn't as good as it should be. The nurses & drs. should have more training since they don't know how to clean up someone's hand after they almost cut their finger tip off with a table saw. The person could easily get an infection or anything. If I had my choice I wouldn't take a dog their if it was sick cause it probably die from it's injuries. I don.t blame anyone for not going to our hospital here cause they don't care like they should.

The hospital staff was fair. The Doctors need to learn to listen to the patient and family more!! They may think it's not that serious but they deal with it daily.Family and patients need more concern from the doctors!!

I recently had surgery at this facility. When my friends and family found out I was having surgery at Riverpark, some suggested that I go out of town. I couldnt imagine having my surgery anywhere BUT Riverpark. The OR staff, Dr. delValle, anesthesia, recovery room nurse and the nurses that took care of me post-op were WONDERFUL!! You see, I work with these people everyday. I know their abilities, their skills, and the compassion they have and use daily to provide nothing but the best for their patients. Thats exaclty what I got, the BEST CARE POSSIBLE!!!! So how could I have even thought of going elsewhere. A bigger town, bigger hospital? No thanks. I'd rather stay here where the care is more personable, where these people are PEOPLE too! They were wonderful, are wonderful and I wouldnt expect anything less from these guys! Great Job Riverpark!!!!

I had my 1st child at Murfreesboro, TN because I thought that I could get superior care at a larger facility & larger city. I had my next 2 children at Riverpark under the care of doctor Del Valle, and I could not have gotten better care anywhere! Dr. Del Valle and the nursing staff at RPH was both competent and compassionate!

I go out of town to a better hospital.I was there and so very sick I could not help it I was in great pain and I was throwing up and I could not stop I had an accident on my self and I some help to get clean up .Well they did not help me at all matter of fact I had to stay in soiled cloths for over 3 hours .Also I would like to add before I had an accident on myself I was in such pain that they gave me so much drugs that I did not come to for 4 to 5 days I was dehydrated from this very bad stomach virus and should have been given an I.V ,but instead of hearing me cry they reather shut you up and drug you up . I have never been treated this badly in a hosptial like this one.I would reather DIE before going there .I Go to a different hospital .You cannot say that I did not warn you .The staff all they are worried about is play and talking about shopping and stuff and makeing easy $$$$$$ ...

River Park Hospital is the only hospital located in McMinnville, Tennessee...unfortunately. Their emergency room doctors are only satisfactory at best. Despite the fact that one may be visiting for an EMERGENCY, the staff there seems little concerned unless you're a patient needing to airlifted elsewhere...meaning they get a referral fee and don't have to deal with you. The only saving grace for this hospital is their Family Birth Unit. The OB/GYN's, Pediatricians and Labor & Delivery Nurses are wonderful and undoubtedly what keeps this hospital afloat financially as parents come from all around to deliver in this five star unit.
