BEWARE! This shop will cheat you the first opportunity they get! I am the owner of a 60's classic car, and do much of the work myself, but didn't say anything to them about my mechanical knowledge. This was my only mode of transportation, and I waited for almost THREE weeks while I continuously called to get answers about what work, if any was done. When I came to pick up the car, the owner (who drives the maroon Falcon) said he would take 100 bucks off the total! AS LONG AS I "didn't need a receipt, or work order". The total was near 400 dollars already (for an ignition coil ($9-18), rear brake lines($8-17) and wheel cylinder set($115)!! Money is hard for everyone these days, (except for these guys apparently) so I was forced to take the cheaper price.
THE KICKER? When I picked up the car, and popped the hood to check out the work, he jumped at the opportunity to "recheck" the new ignition coil I paid for...which wasn't installed. He ran into the shop and installed another coil, blaming one of his employees. The guy then actually had the nerve to ask me if I'd consider selling the car. A week and a half later, MY BRAKES FAILED while I was on I-75, doing 55mph. If I had the work order, I would have filed a lawsuit. I had the car inspected by a Hamilton place mechanic w/over 30+ yrs experience who checked D&C's work, and confirmed my suspicions. D&C means "dollars & cents" ...WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY WILL TAKE FROM YOU.
