In town for two weeks, ordered a pepperoni pizza, thin crust to be delivered to our hotel room. I found it disgusting, my husband said it was okay. Ordering and delivery was friendly and fast. Otherwise, nothing good to say about this

The wait can be a little too crazy. The staff, which is mostly younger people, can be pretty disorganized and lost, collecting at the front stand like a pack of animals at a watering hole. they don't really seem to understand smart seating

We stopped by Pie in the Sky while we were visiting Nashville last weekend. It has a big WOW factor. The atmosphere is awesome. The food was delicious. AND they have 2 for 1 beers. Yes please! We will definitely be stopping by Pie in the Sky next time we are in the Nashville area.

Without a doubt, Pie in the Sky is the best pizza in Nashville. They really go above and beyond to provide excellent quality in their ingredients. You can taste the difference in every bite. The people are so nice. I usually pick up my food and take it home. When I walk in the door I'm greeted by a friendly hostess. Then I'll head up to the bar to grab the food. They'll ask if I want a drink while I'm waiting for the pizza. Sometimes I'll grab a beer or a glass of wine if the pizzas aren't ready yet. Then as I'm leaving they offer to give me some parm and crushed red pepper to go. About 5 people say 'have a nice day' as you're leaving. Now that's what I call good old fashioned southern hospitality.?

we have been here many times and it has been great.
But NOW service and food quality has rapidly declined.
We were there a few Friday nights ago and were subjected to a woman ( who held herself out to be the manager) spending most of her time talking with an older couple in the booth next to us. She was speaking in a very loud voice about her desires to be an actor/model in New York... She came back to that table numerous times, ignoring her work....speaking about her "" work husband"" who came up and chatted as well to these people. The other staff were obviously trying to get her attention to take calls, etc, but it was very obvious to us that she had her own agenda and it was VERY distracting. Our service which had always been great before, was also lacking this evening. Our server, a young lady, was very disinterested in doing her job. We have always enjoyed Pie in the Sky, but will never be back after this display of behavior.
Owners of businesses....please supervise your employees.

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie--that's amore! Well, Pie in the Sky for me was love at first sight. Watched the game last night at the Cool Springs location. Buy one get one free Miler Lite and the carnivore pizza and buffalo wings are out of this world. The wings are jumbo size and not fatty like other places tend to serve. Definitely worth the trek in the snow.

We had our work party at pie in the sky last night and were pleased with the experience. I reserved the party room area for a couple hours and ordered a variety of large pizzas. The Carnivore, Herbivore, White Pizza, Margherita, Supreme Happy Family and a couple cheese and pepperoni. We also order a couple wing samplers. The waitress set up a long table so people could grab what they wanted. It was perfect! There was enough room to sit or stand and walk around. I'm so glad we chose to have the party here.

This was a great place to duck in during the holiday traffic near the Cool Springs mall. My kids saw Santa Claus driving around in a Pie in the Sky car and begged to go. We hadn't been before, but were pleasantly surprised.
Our waiter suggested their version of a supreme pizza called a Happy Family pizza. The combination of meats for me and veggies for my wife hit the spot. We also ordered a pepperoni pizza for the kids.
We saw a sign that said, ""Hey Kids! Ask for Dough!"" near the kitchen window. We asked our waitor about it and he said that they give kids balls of pizza dough to play with. My children enjoyed making their own pizza by playing while my wife and I could kept an eye on them from a table nearby.
I give this place two thumbs up. We'll be back.

So, I've eaten there many times...seven years ago it was quite frequently...but less so as we felt they had changed the quality of their ingredients and the restaurant became a little dirtier and the service less helpful.

The cheese used to be quite good but now it is pasty and even if you pay for extra cheese, you end up with less than you might see elsewhere.

We had visitors in town and they remembered eating there and liking it some time ago...we went with concerns that they would be disappointed and we all were. It started at the front desk. When I asked how long the wait might be, the answer was given with a sigh and no smile even though there were not that many people asking and our request was given gently.

The escort to the table was just follow me with no welcome with menus thrown in a pile. Half our drink order was forgotten and we had to request again and the root beer we ordered was colored soda water. When they acknowledged that it was because they had run out of root beer, there was no friendly apology but a ""well what do you want"". The table smelled of sour bleach cleaning solution and the floor was dirty.

The crust remains decent but this is not a cheap place to eat given the decline in the quality of the food served, the lack of attention to how it is served, and the lack of attention to how clean the restaurant is.

Again, once was a favorite...now never again. (And don't try to complain through their website...no feedback form and no e-mail address...so don't bother giving them any suggestions online).

We have always enjoyed Pie in the Sky but the customer service is horrible. We have tried to call and put our name on a list. They say there is not a wait and can't put your name on a list. We showed up and it was a 45 minute wait. We asked to speak to the manager when we got there to ask about the process and she was absolutely no help. Didn't apologize, didn't offer to help, just acted like we were bothering them to be in the restaurant.

I love Pie in the Sky in Cool Springs because it's so versatile! It's family friendly and adult friendly. One night I can take my kids, who will play with dough and ""make their own pizza."" Then the next night I am able to go again with my girl friends and sit in the adult section. We can sip our Happy Hour wine (buy one get one free) with a partition separating us from the family side of the restaurant. I highly recommend eating here with friends and family!

I really thought the ole pizzerias were dead and gone but Pie in the Sky is so much fun! My boyfriend and I came in and had a great glass of Chianti while we waited to be seated and it was fun watching the kids play with dough and the servers all seemed so happy to be there and the bar atmosphere was great too. we opted for the bar since the wait was a little crazy. We sat down and Lisa took great care of us. The HDTVs are fun and having sports pizza and wine was wonderful. I thought this kind of place doesn't exist any more so it was a great find.

My husband and I go every so often when we are in the mood for great pizza. Now I must warn you , you are going to spend a pretty dime for the pizza here but its well worth it. We love the Pesto pizza and sometime we get a very unique pizza called The Shrimp Scampi pizza. They are both delicious and the crust for the pizza here is amazing. We are told the dough is made in house and I can believe it. I know peoples favorite pizza is a very personal thing but you really cant beat the pizza here. We have tried mafioso's and Mellow Mushroom and haven't been impressed. You have to try and make sure you get call ahead seating on the weekends!

I have to say that when I first walked in and saw all the kids playing with dough I thought that the pizza might be sub-par. No WAY!!! The Pizza is amazing! I love the wings as well and I haven't any better. My buddies and I like hanging out during the weekdays and having some drinks at the bar while we consume massive amounts of wings and pizza. Any one who doesn't like this pizza doesn't know anything about pizza and probably only eats at Pizza Hut!

We moved from Chicago and had been looking for a great pizza place. While pie in the Sky doesn't serve Chicago style pizza we love this place! There is a dough bar for the kids to watch the pizza being made and the crust on their pizza is to die for. Glenn who is the manager at the one in Cool Springs is great with our kids and is always welcoming. If your looking for the best pizza around go to Pie in the Sky!! Our family loves it. Don't forget the 2 for 1 beers!!

I have been going there from time to time for roughly a year now and am fed up with paying $20+ for a large pizza. I have no problem paying a higher price for pizza or anything else well worth it. However, I would hardly consider ghetto cooked (well done) chicken on top of greased filled pizza dough quite worth the money. Even past that. I could even look past the food for the most part but the SERVICE!!! Awful. I left my pizza to g box on the table while in the bathroom (keys, phone and jacket still there) and when I came out they had thrown it away. The manger told me it was on ""its way to the garbage"", turned his back and walked away. Frankly, I have met retarded. people with more common sense. If you like it, great, you're an idiot.

We like to have dinner late, but we don't like to eat at chain restaurants. This is not that easy to accomplish in Franklin. We're always surprised at how early restaurants close. Pie in the Sky is a fun place to go and is open past 9PM! The staff has always been fun and friendly, the pizza is good...although the sauce could use a little more zing to it. The beer selection is good too. Neither of us care for the Yazoo or Sweetwater beers that seem to be everywhere and Pie in the Sky has plenty of alternatives. You gotta have cold beer with pizza!

My kids love this place. The food is good, the pizza topping abundant. and the atmosphere is fun. We've gone on Friday nights and got to listen to some great local talent. The kids love to watch them make the pizzas. We've had team parties in their party room and the kids always had a great time.

I just discovered Pie In The Sky's new Midtown location, and i was BLOWN AWAY!! They've added an awesome patio onto the front of the old Longhorn steakhouse location on Lyle Ave off West End. They've expanded their two for one drafts to all day every day. They're staying open until 2 am most nights, and their food is better than ever!! My brother was happy that he could smoke on the enclosed patio, and the vibe inside the restaurant was as hip as any place off, or on, West End. We're planning on trying their late night scene soon. Apparently, Henry and the Seahawks are playing every Thursday PM. We had a great lunch of quickly-served custom slices with piles of chunky, fresh toppings, and a delicious jumbo wing sampler with numerous savory and spicy sauces. The service was attentive and professional without being stuffy, i.e. HIP: everything that I love about Midtown!! We'll be back very soon.

I like to think of myself as a connoisseur of pizza and I have to say that this is my 2nd favorite pizza place EVER (2nd only to Mellow Mushroom). The pizza is delicious and the atmosphere is fun (planets and astronauts theme). I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. If you like pizza you will love it!

We live in Memphis and my family and I went for a quick trip to Nashville on Thursday. Someone recommended us going to Pie because it was kid friendly. OMG! I was blown away with how good it was. The ""Traditional"" wings were the best I have ever had- perfect spice and texture. I wanted to try the many other varieties they offered but needed to save room for the pizza and that was the fantastic part!! I really couldn't get enough of their pizza. I had a thin crust veggie. A perfect amount of sauce and cheese and great crust, crispy and flavorful. So, goooood, what is their secret ingredient?!?! Also, I really like the fact that they use all fresh ingredients like REAL sliced mushrooms, not the canned ones! \r
\r
Apparently they are a Franklin fixture (suburb of Nashville) but we went to the newest store on Lyle Street near Vanderbilt because it was by our destination. I really liked the atmosphere (cozy, warm and a cool scene). If I did not have kids, I would have loved to hang out and drink a pitcher of beer. \r
\r
Lastly, I met the owners (a husband and wife team). They were checking on the service at each of the tables. It made me like this place even more because they seemed like really nice, hard working, honest people... a true American ""Mom and Pop"" operation. Anyway, I just wanted people to know what great food they have- it is rare to be so enthusiastic about a restaurant. We use to live in NYC and got use to really good pizza. Since we've been back South nothing seems to compare except... finally... I have found Pie in the Sky!! I only wish they would build one in Memphis!

I've grown up in Nashville and eaten at every pizza place I know of. This place is really raising the bar. My girlfriend loves the Alfredo Lasagna and I love the Thai Peanut Pizza. The food is so good I keep dragging my friends in to prove it. There hasn't been a disappointed one yet. The facility is amazing... It's full service... They put me and my girlfriend in a large 2 person booth that's romantic and fun... the cooks make the food in front of you... they have two for one beers everyday!.... They have great parking... The place is clean... The staff is well organized and friendly... I can't go on enough how much better this place is than all of the other pizza shops in Middle Tennessee.

This was the worst service, food, and experience we have ever had at this restaurant. We make it a point to always stop for at least one each meal while we visit Nashville, which is usually 5 to 6 times per year. This was absolutely terrible. There were screaming children and parents who smiled and thought the answer was to laugh or walk the uncontrollable child around the restaurant. The pizza was burnt, and came out before the wings appetizer or spaghetti. Hey, what did they do with the sauce? Do the cooks think they are Emeril, with the Garlic laden spaghetti sauce. The BURNT pizza was replaced by another slightly less BURNT one. The manager (?) said he would discount the pizza, but when the check came it was exactly the full price, nice discount! The waitress seemed not to know what was going on or how to handle the situation; I suppose the entire staff was too busy not noticing the screaming children with their bad parents. Guess what? DO NOT bother with this restaurant; Cool Springs Food Court is a better bet. Go to the Waffle House!

Comparable to Mellow Mushroom, Pie in the Sky has outstanding pizza and similar dishes. I prefer Mellow Mushroom's calzone over the one here, only because I didn't understand why they put ricotta on it, I usually don't eat that in a calzone. Their carnivore pizza is a great pizza covered in multiple pieces of meat, this is definitely my favorite from the restaurant. I don't come often because it is a bit of a drive from Spring Hill, but the few times I have visited or taken home pizza were worth the price. (Which is a little expensive, but what else would one expect from this great chain?!)

Pie in the sky is a great place to go for pizza. They have the best hoagies. They cook them and they are crunchy! You can get all kinds of hoagies. Anything from pizza to roast beef.

I went there for the first time this weekend and have to say that there is no place around that has such wonderful pizza. We loved that they have a small section dedicated to people wothout children dining with them, it made our experience much more enjoyable. Although it was obvious that they are very kid and family friendly! My husband and I are already anticipating eating the spiral bread again, and what wonderful service we recieved. The young man that waited on us was Andrew...ask for him, wonderful!

Pros: Yes they are Professionals.

Cons: No I don't think they are convicts.

My Mother and I go to PieInTheSky in Cool Springs every week. It's the only pizza that doesn't give her indigestion. I spoke with a manager who said that the reason there food is so much better is that they have low acid fresh tomatoes. He also said no trans fats and only real olive oil and butter. I never knew that other oils in the products caused indigestion. It's really great to have a pizza place care so much about the food. Since they don't really advertise the food facts, I thought I'd help them get the word out. They also run the best service outfit I've ever seen in the pizza biz. I read a few of the negative comments on this site and I wonder who writes such complete slams? They don't review the food, they just slam it. Kinda sounds like jealous competition... not real food critics. I've eaten at many other pizza places in Nashville that are all about drinking and cheap food...I prefer great food anyday!

Pros: No Heartburn

Cons: I have to drive 12 miles to get there.

Not at all worth the money. Pizza is nothing special and the breadsticks were very greasy. Service was not good either. They just weren't organized. There are much better pizza places in Nashville like Mafiaoza's.

My wife and I had the best experience at Pie In The Sky in Cool Springs last Thursday. The server was really on top of our needs and cleaned our plates up, re-filled our drinks as well as made great suggestions. I know that?s what a server is supposed to do, but we?ve been to another pizza place in the area that struggles with service and now we have a new favorite place. The food was top notch as well. WE LOVE PIE IN THE SKY!

My family and I had gone to Pie in the Sky Pizza last Friday night. The Pizza is good, however not worth over $20 for a two topping, and $9 for a well mixed drink? The place was also very dirty. The waiter was nice, but everyone seemed so stressed out. The kids did enjoy the dough to play with, but the play area is right in the highest traffic area(servers running back and forth) Call me crazy but I feel I shouldnt have to wait over an hour for a pizza. Overall, just a very uncomfortable atmosphere. On the way out the door I asked my waiter if its always like this? His reply, ""only when the owner is here."" How often that is, I dont know. I do know that I will not be back.

The service here is HORRIBLE!! It is just the worst. The pizza is ok, but with the abundance of choices here in Mid TN service makes the difference for me. I was just there Friday night and at 9:00 they started cleaning up, as we were leaving more unfortunate people where coming in, I knew they would get horrible service just for walking in the door 2 hours before closing. They always start cleaning up and shutting down a good hour before closing. The waiters and waitresses obviously HATE the children walking back and forth to the dough bar, but whose idea was it to put it between the kitchen and seating?!?!? I think it is the manger (big guy, never smiles) who is leading this horrible service. My family goes there often, and EVERY time we leave (well before closing time), he never says ""thanks for coming"" or any other courteous comment as we walk out the door. Many times we have sat waiting on a waiter to take our order while they argued over who would take our table (we are good tippers, just have a few children). If you want GREAT pizza and GREAT service do not go here, GO TO MELLOW MUSHROOM !!!

Cons: HORRIBLE SERVICE, high price, poor management

Pizzas are too dry (they lack moistness) and sometimes way too thick to be good. There is a good choice of toppings but ""Pie in the Sky"" is a little bit cheap with them: large pieces of pizza are not covered at all by any topping !!! Try same genre pizzas in place like Pizza Perfect or Papa John's and you won't eat again in ""Pie in the Sky"".

Last Friday I was having a large family get-together and the 35 of us went to eat in Cool Springs. We drove to several restaurants and were practically turned away with up to 2 hour quoted wait times. Finally a hostess at another restaurant suggested Pie In The Sky Pizza. We just moved here and had never heard of this pizzeria. We were seated in 30 minutes and the kids discovered the ?dough bar?. It was a huge sucess. I can?t tell you how they saved the evening. The waiter was great and the food was exceptional. I?ve been raving about how good the place is to all of my friends. I went back on Sunday and the place was packed out, but they still sat us promptly and took good care of us, although there were only three of us then. I saw that they won the ?best family friendly dining? contest on this site and I have to agree, no other restaurant we found wanted to take on our large group on a Friday night. I think they need to get a big sign though, because we had never seen them hiding on the side of that furniture company.\r
\r
I?d love to give a review of all of the food, but I?ve only had the Pizza. It?s outstanding. I guess I?ll have to eat there a bunch more and write an in-depth review. Anyway, I hope if you?re planning a group outing you?ll try these guys, they?re superb.

I've been to this restaurant twice- the first time for an end-of-the-season soccer party and the second for a bite after church on Sunday. The party was a good time- we were seated in a banquet room and they did a good job getting our food to us. However, when my family and I went the next time after church on a Sunday, it was absolutely horrible. The waiter was clueless- it took us a very long time to get our drinks and our salads and appetizer. I had to request the pizza dough to keep my children occupied. After waiting for pizza for over 45 minutes, we told the waiter to put the pizza in a box b/c we were going home. He looked surprised and didn't even offer an apology. I must say that we really enjoyed the pizza when we got home though- it was very good.

Cons: Awful service, bring a good book to read while you wait for your food!

I Love PieInTheSky!!!. Welcome to Lenox Village. I read that Shot someone took below and I guess when you're great as this place is, the Mud will sling. I'm guessing a jealous competitor or disgruntled employee wrote the bad comment, because they didn't give a review or any real information. I didn't see that the reviewer had written any other reviews crusading to save diners from the pitfalls of dining around. I eat probably one a week at PieintheSky and the place is new and very well run. They are nice people running the place, unlike some of the other places near by. Great food, I personally get the calzones...awesome.\r
And by the way my wife noticed there was a health score of 100 on the wall.\r
Keep it up guys, ignore the cheap shots, we?re glad to have you in the neighborhood.\r

I went to the PieInTheSky on Nolensville Rd. I've never seen such at wild little pizza shop. It has a surprisingly upscale interior with crazy StarTrek lights on the wall, but it still had a laid-back feel. I ate on the patio which is a good time in itself. The food is Brilliant ! & I'm not exaggerating? It?s stupid good. The server was a cute girl who was jumping to get what we needed and the beer was way cheep. The food was not cheep, but great food seldom is. They might work on speeding up the time it takes to get the food, but then again I wouldn?t change the food quality for speed. PieInTheSky has all the right moves...I'd hate to be a competitor.

My husband and I visited the Pie in the Sky restaurant in Lenox Village on Wednesday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. This restaurant had just opened recently and it was our first time to try their food. While we were eating, I accidentally spilled our pizza off of the elevated stand that it was placed on, and it fell on the floor. I felt terrible, especially since my husband had only eaten two slices and I had only eaten one slice. I notified our server and apologized for the mess. She cleaned it up and told us that she would check to see what they could do. When she returned, she told us that the manager said that if we wanted another pizza we would have to pay for it. I was appauled, especially since this was a new restaurant and for the fact that there are at least five other pizza restaurants in the local area. I thought this was terrible public relations, given that it was an accident, and because a new business should do more to cater to customers to gain repeat business. My husband and I spent $25 on three slices of pizza, and we will not return or recommend Pie in the Sky to any family or friends.

This is a great lunch spot - slice, salad & drink deal. The pizza is excellent and I've never had to wait for a table. I don't live in this part of town, but it would probably be a great spot to go watch a football game. The service is usually pretty good. Overall, it's pretty consistent. The food prices are not dirt cheap, but par for the course in the area.

The pizza is great! The service is great! The atmosphere is great! I'm so impressed and I'm not impressed easily. I think you should be entered in the ""dessert"" catagory too...your Chocolate Ecstacy is to die for!!!\r

I appreciate a restaurant that thinks of the kids too. While all mine are grown, it was fun watching the little ones with their dough, great concept!\r

The entertainment was good too. I give a lot of credit to an entertainer that can rise above the noise of the crowd and capture an audience's attention. Paul is good.\r

Thanks for a wonderful dining experience. I will definately be back and I've recommended Pie In The Sky to many of my friends.
