This bar is awesome - it's never a question when my friends and I go out where we are going, it's always going to be Red Door. I have never witnessed the staff to be rude, actually they go out of their way to be nice and make some amazing

This place sucks. I have never ever felt unsafe and awful while going to a bar. The women's bathroom was clogged up with crap spilling on the floor... So my friend and I went to the men's bathroom. While we were in there...a crazy

I was a loyal patron of Red Door East. That was the ONLY bar I'd ever go to. Saturday night myself and a group of friends were there trying to have a good time. A guy approached our table asking if we were from the area. His girlfriend got upset and came over telling me to leave. Her friend pushed me from behind which caused me to swing. They kicked me out without letting me close my tab. When I sent a friend in to close the tab, the bar manager/owner's son told her that if I didn't close the tab, he would've tipped himself! When I looked at the receipt the next day, he charged me for a Jack Black Label at $6.50, knowing I've never ordered that in his bar before!! I will never step foot in another bar that is owned or ran by these crooks! And as far as music.....if they don't like the song you play, they will turn it. So basically I wouldn't waste my dollar on a song either!! Drinker beware!!

I am a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a motorcycle enthusiast. I am currently a member of a Motorcycle Club comprised of Military Veterans of all branches. Our organization is recognized nationally as a non-profit entity, which is an active part of every community we are in. Locally, we have held fundraisers for Operation Stand Down Nashville (OSDN) and the United Service Organizations (USO).

In the five years we have been a part of the Nashville community, our members have donated both their time and money to numerous local charities. Additionally, our members are productive citizens, who contribute to this community.

As part of the community, we often patronize local businesses and many local businesses have supported us in our fundraising endeavors. As a Motorcycle Club, with a deep pride in our Military heritage, we always wear our organization?s logo (Colors) when patronizing local establishments. Until recently, this has never been a problem and we have been welcome everywhere.

Recently, several members U.S. Military Vets MC, as well as members of Rolling Thunder, Inc. went to the Red Door Saloon East in the Five Points neighborhood, where we have been customers for several years. Upon entering the Red Door Saloon East, we were informed that we could no longer wear our ?Colors? in this establishment. When asked what had changed, I was informed the restriction was due to problems with another organization, and not due to our organization.

It?s a sad day when long time patrons, who are productive members of this community and Veterans of the United States Armed Forces, are suddenly told they cannot enter an establishment if they continue showing pride in their service to our country. On their website, the Red Door Saloon East touts ?patrons from every walk of life?. Well, I certainly hope after reading this, Veterans and motorcycle enthusiasts alike will think twice before patronizing the Red Door Saloon East.

Cons: Discrimination

I usually visit on the weekday when I really want/need to unwind. Don't go here for a full meal. It's a bar in every sense of the word. The atmosphere is friendly and the bartenders that I have come into contact with were great!! I love to sit on the deck with my drink and my chips n dip; chilling out.

This place used to be my favorite bar in Nashville and it still is on certain nights. The crowd and the bartenders really make or break this place. There are a few bartenders here that are the best in Nashville and a few that are the worst. Additionally, it can get unbelievably crowded, noisy, and smoky. I usually stay away from this place on the weekends and go during the week.

If you're tired of all the yuppies at 3 Crow, this is your place. The locals keep the jukebox honest... you won't find any Creed or Christina Aguilera here. The bartenders are the best in town, and it seems like it's always 2-for-1 over there. It's no frills, which means you shouldn't expect great food. What you should expect is local color and strong drinks... even though it's relatively new, it feels like old East Nashville, the hip part of town that no one knew about.

I just moved back to Dallas after a year in Nashville & I will miss the Red Door East more than anything else in Music City. The bartenders are great, the hot dogs are amazing, the juke box never disappoints, & the drinks have plenty of booze in them.

Pros: Jager is the house wine...

Cons: Parking...sometimes...

Great jukebox. Diverse crowd. Cold Beer. Cool Patio. Fun Times. Service can be a bit slow, but that's usually because of a crowd.

Get on your knees and look! Everyone has. What a great place to brings someone new to Nashville. Very casual bar with a good atmosphere and a lot to look at. They have an awesome HOTDOG menu with every type of dog you can think of, I had the Jamaica Dog. I have been to both locations and one if my party was asked to leave (He was being very rude!) and the rest of us stayed. Don't come to Nashville for a drink and miss this place!

The crowd is here is pretty chill. No one gets stupid. The drinks are nice and stout and the staff is great.
You might even run into Zakk Wylde here!

This is for Missydan123. You should know what your talking about before you speak. If the bartender was rude to you at closing time it's probably because you were not making any attempt whatsoever to remove your person from the premises. I'm pretty sure you are completely ignorant of the laws here in Tennessee (no one but the bar staff is allowed in a bar after 3 a.m.), after that you risk some pretty hefty fines. You also state that it happened to you at the other location as well. In my humble opinion, if it happened at one location from one bartender and happened at a different location with another bartender, then honey, don't you think the problem lies with you? I don't work at either but am familiar with most of the bar staff and they are amazing. If you would learn to listen maybe you wouldn't have so many problems at bars. Bartenders don't make the laws we just have to enforce them and since it isn't your livelihood at stake we don't expect you to understand. Don't hate the player, hate the game. As for the parking problem....WELCOME TO NASHVILLE!!!!!!!

This place got real old real fast. Everyone inside was either 12 years old with a fake ID, 40 years old and trying to hit on the 12 year olds, or so drunk or geeked out of their mind that they didn't know where they were. I guess that's pretty funny in itself so if you like that kind of thing, come here and go nuts.

At closing time instead of asking you to come back again. The bartender starts yelling GET OUT!!. What part of GET OUT don't you understand! Go somewhere where they appreciate your business not here. Same goes for the other RED DOOR on 19th. Parking is terrible at both of their locations.
