Today was the third time we have ordered Tazza and had it delivered. the first time was decent...salad was pretty gross according to my wife but my sandwich was good. second time was good....so we decided to order it for lunch. At 12:15 we ordered our food. We ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, tea, sprite, chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. at 1:30 we got no drinks, buffalo chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. THe fries were disgusting...chicken tenders were cold. At 2:33 I called to check in and apparently they decided to deliver to others before delivering our correct order. I told them this was horrible service...and still no sorry or offering to pay for it. Food arrived (cold...no surprise) and drinks watered down at 2:45. that is two and half hours after i originally ordered. Delivery guy told me "Its just that busy" and soon as I opened the door. I suggest if it "is just that busy" they should either stop delivering and tend to patrons in the store or add delivery people. Its pretty simple solution. When I asked him for the owners name...he refused! I had to call the store and apparently the owner was not there. The man I spoke with offered no offer to pay for our food. extremely disappointed with this place. Waste of time and money. Also...the chicken we just got was rubbery and smells like seafood. gross. Definitely don't waste your time on this place.

I have never experienced worse customer service! My roommates and I ordered food from Tazza. Each order had a mistake on it and we ordered two Ribeye Steak burgers that turned out to be nothing more that a two inch square of fat and gristle. Called the restaurant to complain and was told that I had one option.....to give back the food that had been delivered and wait another 45 minutes for the same order to come again. REALLY??? Below is the email I sent to the company email address.....Spread the love..haha

To Whom it May Concern -

I have ordered food from Tazza a couple of times since they have been in Hendersonville and have been impressed with the quality and size portions of the food. Today was a different story however. My order came wrong and the quality of the food was not up to the standard Tazza par. I asked to speak with a manager who gave me a very hard time and said the only thing he would do is send me new food and take away the food we received. I told him that I didn't want any new food, I just wanted the poor food taken off my bill because I didn't want to wait another 45 minutes for a new order and I was afraid the quality would be the same. He pretty much said take or leave it. He wouldn't do anything else.
I have worked in the hospitality industry my whole life and I have never come across such poor customer service. I am very disappointed with the experience from today and I will not be eating from Tazza's again. I will also be telling my experience to all of my friends and family that live in Hendersonville. I would like to speak with the owner because I am not satisfied with the outcome.

Thank you

Ordered lunch to be delivered to our place of business. Ordered "Chicken Salad Al-Tazza" which is advertised as follows: Chicken salad ( received just a clump) with a mix of grapes, apples, pineapple and mandarin oranges served on a bed of "FRESH GREENS" with choice of soup. NO FRESH GREENS to be found anywhere!!! Ordered Grilled Shrimp Salad and received Grilled Salmon Salad. The Salmon was so foul not even a starving grizzly bear would have touched it! If anyone ever offers to order food for you from this restaurant - RUN and RUN FAST!!!!!!

Have been here twice in the last week and enjoyed it both times. went before the preds game last night. the parking lot across the street was perfect for both. service is a little slow but other than that no complaints. prices are very good ($20 for 2 people) and they give you a ton of food. will def. go back.

I've avoided Tazza for awhile now because of bad reviews, but tried it a few weeks ago and thought the food was really good. Have returned a couple times for to go orders since then. I've had a couple of their salads and they were great. Portions are huge. Had the chicken parm sub yesterday and it was large enough for at least 2 people. It came with fries and was less than $10---fantastic value. I thought it was really good, better than some of the so called "fancy" Italian places I've been to. The employees have always been friendly and the food was ready quickly. Will be going back for sure.

I love this restaurant and am not sure where these other people who are writing bad reviews are going. I have taken many friends here and they are all amazed and continue to go there themselves. My favorite on the menu is the turkey burger which i must say is the juiciest I have ever tasted!

Ok, first off, let's review Tazza for what it is. This is a small, sparse restaurant that serves an extensive menu of mostly high-fat foods. Do not order/walk-in expecting ambiance and flair.

That said, the food here is ok. The salads are usually drenched in salad dressing (ask for it on the side) and the best foods I've had are typical bar fare (fried stuff, nachos, etc.). The pasta dishes are ok, depending on what is ordered.

Delivery takes forever - usually just over an hour. The food comes hot though, and it's convenient.

Overall - I go to this place because it's convenient. Not because the food is phenomenal.

We ordered lunch from Tazza today at 11:15, and to my surprise they were on time with the delivery. I ordered a "cajun" grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was very over cooked, and there was nothing cajun about it. The bun was very hard and stale. All of the sandwiches came with a huge pile of the sorriest, soggiest steak-cut french fries I've ever had. However I tried an onion ring and they were pretty good. My coworkers all enjoyed their burgers, so maybe it was just my mistake to order the chicken sandwich. We did get a free gallon of lemonade which was nice.

So we decided to give Tazza a try and ordered a hawaiian pizza to be delivered, called it in and were told 30 min. 1 hour later the pizza arrived. We opened the box and it did not look appealing, crust was not crispy, sparse ham and pineapple. My wife and I took our first bite and did not eat any more, honestly it was the worse pizza we'd ever had, including Mexico pizza. We had to order another pizza from a pizza place we frequent often just so we could have dinner, mind you the Tazza pizza was $5 more than our favorite place. We will never patronize this restaurant ever again. And I hope you head our warning. Sucks having to buy 2 pizzas on a night you only needed 1!

We have always had mixed service at tazza. Sometimes the food is cold and sometimes the service is very slow but other times it was fine. The last time we went will be the last time. Six of my co-workers and I went to eat lunch there because of a special they were having. ALL of our food was cold. Also my "12 beer batter dipped butterfly shrimp" was frozen popcorn shrimp out of a bag. One lady took a bite of her burger and sent it back. When they brought it back.. it was the same burger with the bite taken out of it! They had stuck it on the grill and heated it up..disgusting and a complete health code violation. When we complained, management blamed it on the waiter. I was furious. Then as we walked out they fired a waiter that had taken our food back right in front of everyone. I am appalled. I have already reported them to the health dept and the labor board. I didn't even want to give them a star.

Cons: Terrible food, horrible management

I ordered food form here for two catering functions this month. I ordered caesar chicken wraps, paradise chicken salad, spinach artichoike dip, fruit salad, cookies, and cheesecake. All of the food was pretty good. Most people at the meetings agreed that it was good. The dip was fantastic, and so were the cheesecakes.

However, the service made the experiences terrible. On the first day, the bill was 500 dollars. I tipped the drivers twenty dollars, which I felt was fair since they din't do anyhting other than unload a few pans. I called to place my second order that same day and was told they were adding an 18% gratuity to the next order since I did not tip 18%. I told them nevermind, then because we would go pick it up. 75 dollars as a tip for a delivery driver is ridiculous!

On the next day, they called and said they were on the way. The food was scheduled for an 11:15 drop-off. By 11:45, I still had not seen the driver and was scheduled to do a 12pm meeting. He made all sorts of excuses about traffic and blah blah blah. I complained to the manager, who said that he was giving me 100 dollars off. I had already paid with a credit card, so I didn't hold my breath. The driver dropped off the food 35 minutes late, and all I could do was rush to set it up. He also forgot to give us the salad dressing. He called halfway through the meeting to see if we still wanted it.

I checked my credit card statement today, and sure enough...no 100 dollars off. Terrible service, these people barely comprehend English. It's not worth the effort just to east some wraps and friend foods.

Came in lunch on a sunday. Nice people. The bake zita was not baked. The spaghetti was too greasy. No flavor. Server had no personality. Music was nice. Place is empty.

Any place with a menu as long as theirs should be a red flag. I know better - but I let my guard down and gave it a shot because I was hungry and walking by. There were a few people there - but still they sat us by the bathrooms. Our waiter (along with a few other employees) huddled in a group by our table and gossiped and giggled throughout our entire meal. I'm all for having fun at work - but do it somewhere else so that customers don't have to hear your drama. Food came - we literally took 3 bites and left. Worst food I have ever had in my life. Fresh it is not - and it doesn't take a chef to be able to figure that out. Maybe a few items are - but come on people - do you see the menu? You think all of that is fresh? My company ordered chicken alfredo which tasted like plastic - i'm still not sure what they put in there to make it taste like that. So, despite the fact that I was hungry and had company we both agreed that we couldn't even finish our food. I'm shocked that this place gets good reviews.

Cons: everything from food to atmosphere to service

Great delivery food. Coming from New York, I am so used to being able to order from many different restaurants. Here in Nashville, I cant even find a decent pizza place. With that being said, Tazza is great! They have a nice selection of food and its pretty reasonable. They are also quick and the food arrives warm and tasty. Go tazza go! :-)

We were seated in their basement dining room. It has about 12 tables, 10 of which were dirty and/or covered in used dishes. The room itself was hot and humid and painted in a dreadful pallette of bright yellow with brown and green slashes.

Our waiter spent more time chatting with the manager that seated us that he did speaking to us and/or taking our order. When our entrees arrived, it was pretty apparent that he had been busy talking while our food sat waiting-- it was cold and pretty unappetizing. I ordered a sandwich sans green peppers. It arrived with--surprise!-- green peppers. When I asked for a plate to put the offending peppers on, the waiter simply handed me a napkin. No apologies for forgetting my order were offered.

When we prepared to leave, the waiter seemed to express genuine concern at the cold french fries left on our plates. Knowing we wouldn't frequent the place again, we simply said we were full and left. When I returned to work a few blocks away, four different people told me about their horrible experiences at this restaurant; including bad food and a staff that reacts badly to every complaint. Hearing that and reading the reviews here, I see that Tazza does a pretty bad job overall. I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone.

Pros: Large menu with a good variety of food. Unfortunately, you'd have to eat that food at Tazza

Cons: Ugly decor, slovenly staff that leaves tables uncleared, management that attacks customers who have the gall to complain about the dirty tables and bad food.

Worst food that is overpriced and the service is terrible. Got a bean burrito and chips. No salsa, no flavor and it was $9. I could have had 3 meals over for that at Taco Bell if I wanted imitation Mexican food. For one, who eats tortilla chips with no salsa? No one that I know of. Then, the fact that the menu states that the burrito comes with rice, cheese, tomato and lettuce, if I say no lettuce and no tomato wouldn't that to most normal people mean that I am fine with the rice and cheese? So why would they send just beans. Then try to blame me for telling them their food is terrible and they didn't once offer to do anything about it to fix it and that is why I do NOT recommend them for anyone. Save your cash and go someplace else, they don't deserve your money for oferring such horrible food at such high prices. I should have never even thought to pay $9 for food at a carry out place that wasn't a pizza for that price. That wouldn't even be worth it if I was to eat in their place. I can get 2 burritos with rice, sour cream, chips and salsa for $5.99 at Casa Fiesta near my house and it's covered with red and queso sauce and full of flavor and doesn't taste like re-re-refried beans. TERRIBLE! BEWARE!

We had excellent service from Tazza Restaurant for an 80-person lunch order October 2. The sandwiches were a good size, attractively displayed on platters, and exactly what we ordered. They were enjoyed heartily. The cookies were complimented, too.

We appreciate the timely delivery, pleasant staff and appropriate pricing.

This is to compliment you on the food and service we have received over the last two months from your establishment. The food is wonderful and the salads are just great, there is plenty of variety on your menu so that our residents are very pleased with their lunches these days. The delivery is always prompt, if not early and the driver is professional and concerned that all is to our liking. What can I say, we are very pleased.

Good food, but we were not happy with the staff or management at all. The manager refused to help us with some complaints we had against certain staff members, and we will not be patronizing this establishment again

There is something for everybody on Taza's menu, and at reasonable prices. They understand that people that are in there for lunch have to get back to work. Yet the setting is calm and elegant. Service is very friendly, although it was challenged the day we went because two large parties were sat just ahead of us in the same section and one of those parties barely spoke English. UGH! But once the friendly waitress came around to get our order, she was kindly apologetic and brought our food out first. Although she asked how I would like my steak cooked on my black-and-bleu salad and I said, "Rare," it was cooked through, and not even hot, so I don't believe it was even cooked to order. Palatable, nonetheless. Others around us ordered burgers and they looked very tempting. The pasta dishes looked enormous - consider splitting if you're a light eater. Interesting daily specials. I'll be going back.

Pros: friendly service, variety, ambience, value

Cons: no parking, heavy lunch crowd

.

I love Tazzas. They have pulled off some great events for us. We have had several lunches catered and also had individual lunches delivered. The food is great. They have a terrific variety and it is not your run of the mill lunch food. It actually tastes very good. I have never been disappointed. The last thing I need in a busy day is a lousy experience. They have exceeded my expectations. Thank you Tazza!!!

The New Orleans Pasta was outstanding, the best I have ever had. My server was very attentive. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the place was packed. There were a lot of businees people there having a good time. I highly recommend it. They also catered one of our business lunches and did an excellent job. Thank you Tazza. Oh and check out their new web site at www.tazzatn com.

THE FIRST TIME I VISITED TAZZA RESTAURANT I ENJOYED THE WAIT SERVICE AND THE FOOD. HOWEVER, EVERYTHING HAVE CHANGED AND IT IS FOR THE WORST. I WENT INTO TAZZA WITH COUPON IN TOW TO PURCHASE FOOD. WHEN I PRESENTED MY COUPON, I WAS TOLD THAT THEY NO LONGER HONOR THE COUPON. I EXPLAIN TO THEM THE YEAR HAS NOT ENDED NOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER(COUPON EXPIRES). THE SO-CALLED MANAGER WAS RUDE AND DEFENSIVE. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO PATRONIZE TAZZA BECAUSE NOTHING IS FRESH ABOUT THAT PLACE. TAZZA IS A RIP OFF!!

I only decided to go to Tazza because of a coupon book that I had purchased, and they had a coupon for buy a meal, get one free kind of a deal. I thought, 'eh.. it's worth a try for a buy one get one and to try something new.' So we clipped out our coupons and headed that way. We arrive at the door, only to find a note and coupon taped to the door, stating they do not accept these coupons. Nice. Now I'm mad, and I'm hungry. So, since I've hauled a few others and myself down there already, we decide to go ahead and try it.
Service wasn't too bad, probably due to the fact that it was Sunday afternoon, and not overly busy by any means. Prices are fair. Menu selection is good.. lots of options.
I don't plan to recommend it to anyone because I'm upset about the coupon deal. We actually considered leaving the coupon as the tip, just to show a statement, but out of the kindness of my heart, I felt it wasn't the waitresses fault, so I left a smaller tip, as well as the coupon, just to show them thats the only reason I even went there.
By reading these other reviews as well, I'll definitey be hard-pressed to recommend the restaurant based on food experience, because apparently it's inconsistent. Our meal was decent. I had soup and sandwich, which I found to be good. We ordered a pizza as well, and that took a little longer than anticipated, but it was acceptable.

My mom and I had an impromptu ladies lunch around noon on a Saturday. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the place was clean and comfortable, the service was prompt, the food was great. I ordered soup and sandwich, mom ordered roast beef, we were pleased and will make Tazza part of our day together in the future. Along the lines of a friendlier and quieter Appleby's or Ruby Tuesday. More than you would expect in service, food quality, and ambiance for the amount you spend.

Our food was awful, and the delivery person was over an hour late. When I ordered the food they assured me they were familiar with my delivery location, then called twice because they were lost, and were still over an hour late with the food. One person in our group ordered Tuna Salad that was frozen in the middle. My roast beef was a funny looking color and had a strange taste - could not eat it. I won't order from there ever again.

I had high hopes for this place as my company just moved downtown and we were looking for great lunch spots that deliver. The first time we ordered, everything was good and service was excellent. The next couple of times we ordered, it was as if this was a totally different place. The person taking the orders on the phone needs a lesson in customer service as it took forever for her to take our order. And then, once our food arrived, the order was messed up in so many ways, we couldn't even explain to them on the phone all the things that were wrong--and they were not willing to fix the problem. In addition, the food quality was not good, either. We threw our menus away and will never order from them again. Such a shame.

I work downtown and go out to eat often during the week. Tazza is consistently BAD. The service is SO slow. I have often waited more than 45 minutes for my meal. Today I ate there and the food took nearly an hour to get. My coworkers had to leave before even getting their meals because they were constrained to an hour lunch. The food on the menu is NEVER prepared the same from week to week. You may get a dish with one thing one time, order the same thing the next time and get it completely different. The chicken in my sandwich today was SO burnt on the bottom that I couldn't even cut through it with a knife. Tazza has a great location, great decor, and a great opportunity for downtown business BUT they are blowing it in every way possible. To start with - Tazza needs to get some wait staff that can speak and understand ENGLISH.

Pros: The art on the walls is great

First, ignore the obvious fake positive reviews. Imagine a complete stranger walking up to you and upchucking directly into your mouth. This is how I can best explain Tazza succinctly.

We have ordered from Tazza several times at my office and the one word I have for them is INCONSISTENT. One time it will be absolutely delicious, and the next time it it horrible. Delivery will be quick one time, we will wait two hours the next. The staff will be friendly and helpful one time, the next time they are rude and seem to not care. This place has so much potential, but they really need to work on being more consistent if they want to keep their customers. One word of advice if you are planning to order: stay away from ANYTHING fried, as it WILL DEFINITELY arrive to you soggy. Their salads are great and are usually a safe bet.

I had planned a family reunion dinner at Tazza 3 months in advance and even called to pre-order our meals. I can't tell you how embarrassing it was to then get there, wait 50 minutes before all even had salads and iced tea, be served cold food, and had to deal with less than a clean environment. We were promised seating in the upper floor, but was put in the basement where the floor was sticky and they were bringing trashcans through our party. To add insult to injury, both the men & women's restrooms were disgusting. After bringing some entrees out 3 times to get the hot, the damage was already done. We were given a discount, but like I said, our family reunion had already been tainted. We chose Tazza after having them deliver food to our hotel when we 1st went to Nashville & promises from their Mgt. SKIP IT!

If you can stand to talk to the girls that answer the phone at Tazza, and deal with their lack of customer service skills, the food is great once you get it. I usually spend about 10 minutes on the phone everytime I call, being placed on hold no less than 6 times, and they usually ask me more than once for the order, and more than once for my credit card information.

Also, there's one delivery guy that's not too friendly. They claim to deliver to the Belmont area, but once he arrived, he was quite ugly about the location being too far (we live off Belmont, just on the north side of I-440). The other delivery guy we usually see is a sweetheart, and delivers quickly.

I've never been anything short of extremely satisfied with every order, but they need some serious reorganization with the help.

I have ordered from Tazza a few times now, and have been overly satisfied each time. They have never destroyed our order, and the food has always been SUPERB! I normally call in our work lunches, they are always polite and get the order right everytime. All their salads are delicious, along with everything else on the menu. The price is very pocket friendly and delivery is punctual. If anyone who works at Tazza reads this... Keep up the good work, and friendly service!!! Thanks!

The poor reviews here are dead on. I ordered lunch with friends from work. We called for delivery, but were told could not order in advance of delivery (called 10:00a for noon delivery). Called back at suggested time. Told delivery not be available for one hour. So, we sent someone to pick up. Left my lunch out of the order. We called. They sent someone with my lunch. It was wrong salad. Soup tasted dreadful. Called to speak to manager about screw up. Was told three different times to call back and yet no manager ever available. Finally called next day ... VERY RUDE fellow answered phone and at first refused to tell me he was manager. Long story but I felt all kinds of jerked around. This restaurant is a complete joke. They clearly do not care about customer service and whether they get orders right.

Cons: Poor service, Poor Management, Bad Food

Though the food is tasty, beware, you will have to deal with bad service to get it. My office has been ordering from this restaurant for quite some time. We were quoted one price during ordering and were charged a different price at delivery. I asked for peppers to be taken off of my Calzone during ordering, and they were left on. After receiving the order when I called, the person who took my order proceeded to tell me I did not request that they be removed. The manager told me I didn't say to take the peppers off. I wondered how he knew since he didn't take the order. What ever happened to the customers rights? I know this may not seem serious to them, but what about all the people with food allergies. Needless to say, this office will not be ordering from there again!

The seating here is way too close and the service was alright. We waited a while for everythin. Our food was good but they charged us .10 for water, the food was not that great to charge for the water. This place has a lot of potential. As far as the wait staff you could tell a few of them do not care for one another, very noticible!
A good place to eat if it improves.

I experienced Tazza for the first time yesterday. I ordered the Pasta Molina (grilled chicken, bow tie pasta, cheeses, mushrooms, and sun dried tomotoes in a little bit of alfredo sauce.) It came with two pieces of toasted garlic bread. I had to delivered free to my office bldg downtown at lunch. The delivery was very speedy and the delivery man was very nice. I also ordered their stuff olives on the side. They were awesome! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves italian food. Try something new! The menu has so many items to choose from.

Stay away at all costs. We ordered at work for lunch. There wasn't one redeeming quality about any of the food that we received. Fries, Burgers, Onion Rings, Salad, Grilled Cheese Sandwich and some sort of crunchy olive thing. Not a single person had anything good to say about any of it.

I guess the moral is, don't bother. It's really just not worth it, and there are so many better things you can do with your time and money. Your stomach will also appreciate it.

My co-workers and I ordered food from delivery -- it is DISGUSTING. Not a single person even remotely enjoyed their meal. The fries and onion rings were unedibly soggy, the burgers were tasteless, the chili came from a 59-cent can, and they even managed to screw up a GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH. Jesus. Stay away.

I found one of their nice looking menus downstairs at our office. They had a nice array of foods so I thought it would be worth checking out. I took orders from several other people and called and placed the order. When we got the food we noticed immediately that it was just AWFUL. The Black and Blue Ceasar Salad had very little Blue Cheese on it, the fries and onion rings were cold and soggy, the "crunchy stuffed olives" were anything but crunchy and were not stuffed olives at all, but a breaded gooey mess of cheese with little bits of black olives in it. The rest of the food we got was cold and either tasteless of plain nasty. My co-workers have told me that I'm fired from picking restaurants from now on, I can only place the orders. JUST SAY NO!

The food was sincerely horrible. Everything other reviewers have said is true. For once, this citysearch website is right on the money. The food is anything but fresh, from the chewy calamari to the horrid, rubbery, un-cuttable fish. I have wanted to be a reviewer before, but put it off, until last night (8/6/05) when this restaurant left me angry and hungry. I couldn't chew the food enough to swallow it. I think some of my food was still frozen in the center. Service was fine, except they appeared too busy for us (my girlfriend and I were the only ones there at 8 PM). How do they pay the lease for this place without any customers? Must be a lunch crowd? The restaurant seemed interesting from the outside, but this place makes even Shoney's look good

Consideration for the customer seems to be an afterthought here. Staff (with one exception) was rude, or at best stand-offish.; a little under par with fast-food establishment. Food (sandwich) was bland and soggy . Menu seemed large and impressive, but outcome was disappointing. I may try again in a few months to see if they discover that service DOES matter.

First visited Tazza over a year ago and was impressed with the quality of food and low prices. Wait staff was super slow but the food and prices made up for their lack of speed. Lately, it seems like there has been a management/ownership change. Depending on what you order, the food can be quite tasty (soups) or horrible (simple sandwich). I ordered a grilled cheese and chips. What I got, after enough time had elapsed for me to go to the store, buy the cheese, butter and bread and cook it myself, was a cold, ungrilled cheese sandwich with a ton of greasy steak fries. After notifying the server, he took my food back to the kitchen, they nuked it in the microwave and brought a very small "bag" of chips. Chips, by the way, was on the menu as a side item....just like french fries.

All staff were rude and food was horrible. Food was 1 hour and 45 minutes late being delivered and was missing a meal. Manager was rude upon notification of missing meal and then did not send meal immediately over. Waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for the meal that was missing initially. Had chicken bone in a chicken salad and huge not cut chucks of chicken. Ordered French Dip sandwich which had no french dip. Absolutely one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. Will not ever eat at this establishment again and will recommend EVERYONE I know to do the same.

Tazza is great! The best thing is the Tazza chicken salad. It is extremely fresh and unique! The soups are also very good. I have taken several friends to this place and they have all loved it, don't be frightened by previous reviews!

Pros: Selection, Inexpensive, Fast

The service was horrible. Our server did not know the specials or ingredients in any of the menu items, he never filled our drink glasses and when we were ready for our checks he was nowhere to be found and acted surprised when we handed him money and need change, which took him 5 minutes to get back to us. Total our 1 hour lunch last 1 hour and 20 minutes. Definately won't be back.
