I was so disgusted by the service there recently. I will likely never walk in that store again. I was shopping with my daughters and other family members when a woman told my daughter to stop playing with the shoes. She was trying on an 8.5 in women's and even after I explained that this was my daughter's size, the woman continued to argue that my daughter was trying on shoes that we would not have bought. My daughter was never more than about 3 ft away from me and did not take more than approx 2 steps in any of the 4-5 pairs of shoes that she tried on... she was in no way "playing" in the shoes as the woman continued to argue. My daughter was also embarrassed to death and very confused because her behavior had been questioned. I will be happy to spend the $100/per child that we had planned to spend somewhere else and I hope that other people are not subjected to such awful customer service.

I live about 1 hr. away from Becky's Shoes in Cleveland. I go there to find shoes that I can't find in the area stores. Not all shoes all "perfect," not all shoes are a "wonderful cheap" price like they use to be. But one thing I can say.. I can fine great shoes at a price that's in my budget. And the people that are complaining about the service...well, they are people in this world that can find something to compain about all the time. One day I was shopping there and a woman was at the check-out giving this poor checkout sales lady heck for nothing that I could see. The saleslady had told her that if she wore the shoes out of the store they could not be returned. Seemed like a reasonably thing to say. This women jumped on the saleslady, saying she was rude, etc. She was acting crazy about how rude the sales person was and it was completely the other way around! Some people...are just crazy! But it's not the sales people at Becky's Shoes.

I used to shop at Becky's frequently but the last few times I went in, I thought the prices were too high for the average quality of the merchandise.
We have family from out of state visiting this weekend and all of the women wanted to visit Becky's. I was excited to go, realizing that I had not visited the store in almost a year. I brought in my to-go drink from lunch. Apparently they have a new no food or drink policy. I was asked to throw my drink away. With no trash can in the store or even a public restroom available (which, seriously?), I looked outside for a trash can and saw that it was overflowing. Instead of adding to the litter, I put the drink in our stroller cup holder and left the stroller by the window and waited for everyone to finish shopping. Between all of us, we probably had over $300 worth of shoes ready to purchase when a short haired middle aged woman came over and very rudely told me I needed to throw my drink out which I had not touched since I was asked the first time and could not find a trash can. I told her we were ready to check out and she raised her voice to tell me that I needed to throw my drink away and that if she let me have mine that everybody can come in with their coffee. I told her she was being rude and she proceeded to explain to me that I had been asked "3 or 4 times to throw [my] drink away." I calmly explained that I was asked once and could not locate a trash can and inquired about the trash cans overflowing outside. She said they're not her problem. I asked where a trash can was in the store and she insisted I take it outside. She walked away from me, shaking her head and mumbling under her breath. My family was completely appalled at her attitude and put their shoes back on the selves. On our way out, she was talking with another employee at the register and glancing at us. I stopped at the register to tell her that I did not appreciate her rude approach to which she retorted that she did not appreciate mine. I explained that we could have gone to the mall or any other chain store but we chose to support a local business (Her response: That's your prerogative!) and we did not appreciate her arguing with us over a beverage especially when she could see that we had a large purchase to make. I asked if she owned the store. She said that she did not but "signed a contract to uphold her rules." Ok, anybody who had worked in retail knows that the customer is always right and you don't mess with people who are bringing you business. There are ways to deal with situations that don't require causing a scene. Anyway, one of my sisters walked up at the end of the conversation and realized what was going on. She examined her boots before putting them away to find that the inner lining of the boots was badly ripped. Go figure. My husband was fed up and told her that she needed to pull it together and calm down.. i honestly do my best to support local businesses. The decline of this particular store is a terrible tragedy. I'm willing to overlook a few indiscretions (average quality merchandise, cluttered or dumpy displays, homemade signage) but I will not be disrespected.

We live approximately 1 hour from Becky's Shoe Store and have shopped there for years. However over the past couple of years the service has dramatically declined. No drinks in the store. Somewhat understandable but the first time I learned this was from an employee who was VERY rude about it. I was asked to leave with my drink that had a lid. Also FYI, there is no public restroom. This is a woman's shoe store. Seriously, that's ridiculous. The prices have increased as well. Hardly a deal on shoes that are visibly worn...with no further discount offered when they have clearly not been cleaned. I used to get excited about going there. Not anymore...

Worst service I have ever experienced. I drove from a town 30 minutes away looking for UGGs. The lady told us to come back, and we did. The shoes were sitting in a box, and they old us we would have to wait to buy the shoes from the shelf. We asked when they would be put out and she said she didn't know? We explained we were from 30 minutes away and were leaving town. That didn't matter to them at all. Would have given 0 stars if that was option.

Today, I visited Becky's shoes with my daughter. The manager or shift leader was incredibly rude about their no food or drink policy. We are all for obeying rules, but at least be kind. She spoke to me like I punched her kid. She stood in the front of the store gossiping with her friend (loudly). When I stood to the side waiting for her help, she looked at me with an angry glare. I asked her if she would be working today and if she could hold the boots I had chosen until my husband came in or if she could direct him to them since I had sent him a picture. She rudely stated, "I don't know who your husband is." I said that he would be the one looking for these boots and he'd have a picture on his phone of them.
Cleveland is too small of a town to be giving people bad service. She just lost a $120 sale. I will go to ebay or drive to chattanooga for my purchases. Good luck keeping business alive with such bad management.

Very poor customer service. Very rude woman who claimed to be the store owner/manager. Be prepared for a non-friendly environment: no restroom, difficult return policy and absolutely don't think of bringing in a beverage in a covered container. I'd rather pay full price than be treated horribly with sarcasm and condescending remarks. Don't go...try other local businesses who value their customers. I know they lost $100. from me! Try the awesome local shoe stores in Ooltewah and downtown Chattanooga.

Great shoes. I go here often to buy used shoes. Most of the shoes are in great condition, so you really don't know they are even used. I really like shopping here.
