Some of the rudest people I do believe I've ever encountered .... (and, like Johnny Cash, I've been everywhere, man) ..... there were so many red flags wavin' around before I finally woke up it's almost embarrassing admitting it. Do

I took my 13 year old cat Lila to see Dr H.\r
He diagnosed her with a hyper thyroid and prescribed a diet specific for that disease.\r
The results were almost remediate.\r
My cat who had lost over 1/2 her body weight started gaining

We live right across the street from a vet but choose to make the 40min drive to Harpeth frequently. We have a bulldog that has had to make a lot of trips to the vet and we have trusted them with everything. Many vets will be judgmental

I haved moved many times in my life and have used veterinarians all over the country for my multiple dogs' care. I have never been to a hospital more compassionate than Harpeth Valley. The doctors (Dr. Hurst and Dr. Herman) are absolutely

Literally, my dog would not be alive if it weren't for the timely and skillful care of the vets and techs at Harpeth Valley. Shortly after I adopted my labrador-great pyrenees mix puppy, he became severely ill, dehydrated and eventually

If you love your pet, there is no other place in Nashville that will give the love and care they deserve like the people at Harpeth Valley! They are the type of people that sit on the ground with your dog to make them feel loved. They

I have been taking my pets to Harpeth Valley for years and will continue to do so for both their benefit and mine. The Vet so naturally puts my animals at ease and when my family had to face the heart wrenching decision to put our 15 year

I have been a loyal customer for 12 years, but I am, no longer. I boarded my pet there over the weekend and picked him up a day early. I got charged a $20 pick up fee and had to pay for the night he wasn't there. I understood having to

I CANNOT even give this place a rating as it doesn't deserve ONE STAR, but have to give one to complete review. With that said, jjjsmith33 was absolutely correct, "AVOID AT ALL COSTS." Please take this seriously. This place doesn't care

My Dachshund is 7 years old and I started taking him there a year ago when the Vet I was taking him too wanted to do a major surgery on a bubble that formed on my dogs paw. Dr Malone told me that surgery was not necessary and gave me medicine that cleared it up in couple of weeks. Today I took him in there because he was crying when he jumped. He apparently bulged a disc in his back. He gave me the medicine my dog needed to get better and gave me specific info to follow and did not nickel and dime me. I actually expected to pay a lot and the bill was only 60 dollars. He is very Knowledgeable and really does care. He only does procedures that are necessary and is willing do whatever to work with you to take care of your pet. I have had at least 4 other vets and none of them have ever taken the time that he does. Every time I have been there he has spent at least 30 minutes with me and my dog and done a thorough exam every time. I highly recommend him to anyone who loves their pet!

The staff are friendly and very passionate about animals. They love their jobs and truly care about the pets. They were kind enough to let me job shadow inside their clinic for four days, and I watched them treat the animals. All the pets received the highest amount of care the staff could give them, even the ones with annoying habits (one dog who barks incessantly when put in the kennel) and rude owners (ones who keep postponing treatment or payment). The vets are firm but kind; when a client didn't follow the doctor's instructions and caused her pet to need a second surgery, they corrected her enough that she followed their instructions the next time, but not so much that they embarrassed or shamed her, which they easily could have given the stupidity of her decision and the fact that she neglected basic care for her pet. The vets don't overreach themselves: when they encounter something outside their realm of knowledge, they refer to a specialist instead of attempting the treatment themselves. They're also honest: they tell you when they just don't know. You can tell that they all love the animals, and are committed to providing quality care. Also, these vets don't look for ways to nickel and dime you: if they can't fix it, they generally don't charge for it, and they can tell you what each item on your invoice was for, no frivolous charges. I highly recommend seeking service there. FYI, they also do grooming and boarding, and but you need to book early, as these services are in demand. the good thing about boarding there is they check the pets and often find things wrong that their owners didn't notice, and they can treat the pets while they're boarding if they get sick.

Pros: easy to get appointment, passionate staff

Cons: location in Bellevue, bit out of the way, boarding and grooming fill up fast, semi-awkward parking
