When I'm looking for a hair cut, I'm looking for a good hair cut, and not an opportunity to be pampered. Still, is if I'm paying $12.00-$14.00, I like to have few extra pains taken with my hair, and a friendly environment.

Bill Bresley's White Oak Barber Shop is an old fashioned establishment that serves a primarily male customer base. However, they have two above average female hair stylist, Pam and Michelle. One specializes in good basic hair cuts and the other routinely goes beyond a basic cut, providing a little extra styling and personal attention her customers. I followed these ladies to their current location, after they left their previous shop about 2 years ago.

The shop is a small, no frills, hole in the wall, but is always clean and usually very busy. The wait, however, is rarely over 20 minutes. The shop is less than 10 minutes for downtown Chattanooga, but has very limited parking available.

Although I do not expect to be pampered, it would be nice if the shop offered a few extras such as a free hair wash with hair cuts, a soda machine, and a little more stylishly decor. The hairs stylists are very friendly, personable, and accommodating, and I always get a good professional hair cut, which is the reason I keep coming back.

Although I would prefer a little more personal attention at times, for the price and service, this shop is a bargain. It may not be the most stylish shop in town, but if pampering is not a major requirement, Bill Presley's White Oak Barbershop is a good little neighborhood barbershop, where you can always get a good professional hair cut.

PROS: Location, Professional Hair Stylist
CONS: No frills
