Lichterman is a beautiful nature center in the heart of East Memphis. It is calm and serene, not to mention educational. Many a school group ventures there for field trips, but it's worth a look on your own time. They also will rehabilitate wild animals, if you ever find one in danger. A treasure.

This place is in the heart of the city but you would never know it. It is so beautiful and peaceful there. If you are a nature buff, then you definitely need to check this place out. The prices are very reasonable!

Lichterman is a class act in the middle of a large city. It has been developed and maintained with care and great forethought. I can't recommend strongly enough what a gem this facility is. Make it a priority to go see it.
