I love sushi ! They make their sushi fresh, I even got to watch them make it. I normally go with friends. Ya it is kind of pricey but hey I love sushi. I will be honest it was the first Chinese place I went to that had an eel roll. I love

I think this place is ran terribly. I know several employees and ex employees that have shown me actual pictures of the back of the house. If you could see the meat juice filled drains, and feel your feet slide on the slimy floors- you would think twice about eating here. Their meat is kept in giant cracked tote containers, often left sitting on the floor. Cooks smoke in the very back of the restaraunt and are rarely seen washing their hands. I have no idea how places like this pass health inspections. I have seen roaches there, near the drink stations. I overheard an employee saying not to eat partial crablegs, because they re-use the unopen shells and put them back on the buffet. There are certain meats that are left out for days without refrigeration (beef tripe and the meat that they make the meat pies out of on the dim sum side). The sushi is often left over for dinner from lunch. Old sushi is deep fried to keep it 'fresh.' And for god's sake- if it is your kids birthday do not let them eat one of those disgusting cupcakes that sits next to raw meat in the back cooler. And overall treatment of employees and staff is abismal. You could probably walk in and see at least one staff member crying at any given moment from verbal abuse. My advise to those that work there, find another job. My advise for potential consumers, get de-wormed asap.

It is quite inconsiderate to write your unintelligent comment badmouthing a place where people earn their living. I have worked at Chef Wang's for 3 years, and happen to love the place and the people I work for. If you do not want to pay full buffet price for a take out, that is why we have a take out MENU. This allows the customer to choose which dish they would like, and is priced accordingly. Also, as many times as I have eaten the food there, I have never gotten sick off of it. I am sure some may have had a bad experience, but that is with ANY restaurant. Not just Chef Wang's. And I happen to know well that "Chef Wang" as you call him.....is very loyal to his customers and his employees. Unless you are in his face telling him he is running his business incorrectly. What business owner needs or wants to hear that? The business is running to make a profit, and it is not up to the customer to decide how he/she thinks this profit should be earned. There is logic behind why things are done the way they are done. I realize this site is to inform consumers about businesses, but in the future, you should probably consider how many people you could be HURTING (my income) by posting these comments, just because you want to rant when things don't go your way.

Chef Wang has a nasty habit of charging full price for a carry out meal and then not correcting the mistake. When I personally spoke to Chef Wang to make him aware of the shortage he said that I was dishonoring him and that I should take my business elsewhere, and I shall! Just as I told Chef Wang I would do, I am making certain that I let as many people know as possible that he is a CHEAT AND A LIAR!

My family and I relocated to Murfreesboro from Florida. After many recommendations from neighbors and friends, we visited Chef Wang's on Mother's Day 2008 with great anticipation and expectations. It was not fun to wait over an hour...standing in the lobby especially with two little ones, but we hung in there. The parking lot was totally full...with lots of customers inside eating and waiting...so we figure it must be a great restaurant...a great place to celebrate Mother's Day...this would be a great eating experience. Well, looks can be deceiving. My husband and I both became very ill within three days of eating there. The atmosphere was nice, but being very ill for nearly three weeks totally turned us off on all asian cuisine and buffets.

Pros: The atmosphere was a little overdone...we found it typical

Cons: Food and cleanliness

There is always a line outside Chef Wangs and once you eat here you will know why. For an all you can eat restaurant the food is excellent. From sushi to crab legs to roast beef there is something to please everyone. This is an great place to bring the family.

Atmosphere - Chef Wangs is a wonderful place for a casual lunch, romantic dinner, or family outing. The service is friendly and accomidating.

Time - You may have to wait to be seated. This is mainly true on weekend nights and lunch hour. However, once seated service is quick and you can immediatly go to the food bar or habachi grill.

Cost - On an average weekday in the afternoon prices are around $10 per adult. After 4:00 pm and weekend prices can climb much higher.

Food - They have an amazing variety of food. This ranges from many kinds of seafood, pizza and mac & cheese, chinese food, sushi, and salads. The food on the bar is typically good, though I would stay away from the chinese food there, unless you like bland, greesy chinese. If you like flavor and want garenteed freshness, go to the habachi bar. The meats are always well cut, with no mystery pieces.

Very surprised with the quality of food and low price. Large selection of food ranging from traditional chinese cuisine to raw oysters, sushi, and hibachi grill. Food trays always seem to be filled. Food is very tasty. Quick service.

Unlike some of the other Chinese Buffets around here, I had a plateful of chicken without one piece of grit or fat in it. They have a Ton of food to choose from. I love the fact they also have mac and cheese and pizza and other various foods that will work for kids. The decor is perfect for this restaurant and they have a ton of places for people to sit. You don't have to feel like you're crowded in with everyone else.

PROS: Great food and selection. Nice waiters.
CONS: None
