I have to admit, I took my chances. My 2 pieces of furniture (rocker/recliner and sectional _$1100) were ordered (and fully paid for with credit card) and I was told like so many, it would be 2 weeks for the furniture to come in. So almost 4 weeks later, I stop on my way home from vacation and I'm told the plant had suffered damage from storms and the furniture would be in the next Tuesday, so we made an appointment for delivery. Next Tuesday-no furniture. I stop in again over the weekend and am told no the delivery appointment was for the following Tuesday. Plus alot of excuses "a new customer service person, Manager Melissa had family emergency " . So the next Tuesday comes-no delivery. I call. I'm told it will be in within the next week while I'm threatening to dispute the card charge so I get the little new customer service kid telling me that I signed an agreement that it may take up to 12 weeks to get my items and they could sue me. So in about 10 days, I get the call that the furniture is in and set up a delivery time. No delivery...Roughly 2 hours after the furniture was to be delivered, I get a call from the delivery person stating they had taken a different vehicle and had not tied down the items and they had blown out onto the interestate and busted. I call the next morning and informed the office not to re-order as I wanted to "think about this". The manager calls me and apologizes and offers me a delivery discount of like $25.00 on an order that is now 8 weeks out and having to be re-ordered again. 2 days later I get a call from the new customer service kid stating that the furniture had been reorder and would in the store in ---- yup 2 weeks.. After getting several nasty, threatening phone calls from the customer service kid -but never able to speak to Melissa again (she was either out of office, not available etc.) I placed a dispute on the card and got it credited back.

its been more than a month and still all i get are excuses... when they delivered the bed and mattress it wasnt assembled like it should be and the boxes were dirty and the mattress had a tear... call them and all i got was excuses and promises, it would either be "i'll call you back" that never happens or "we'll have it next week" or when you call you get the "he's not here and there is no owner or manager in here". seriously? what kind of business people are these? BBB will definitely hear about this.

I have made many purshases with Melissa for many of years and up until now I never had a problem, until I tryed to purchased a bedroom suite about 3 months ago, my usual way. I paid 200.00 down towards the Bedroom purchased to find out about a week later that there was a problem with my checks. Well after trying numerous times to talk with Melissa...I had to use another tactive on getting her to the phone,which I didn't like but I needed to talk to her not through her. Well it worked and she called me right back, that's when she told me that I still owed her money from my last purchased from Oct 09,and she still had checks that were not picked up. I was not believing this at all,so I asked to speak with her off. manager,whom I wont call by name, didn't work for them anymore,I asked for her cell# which wasn't correct, so I had to do the leg wrk to dissolve this matter, which I did find the truth out. I knew I had paid in full but on many occassions when I went to pick up my checks with cash if she wasn't there ,I trusted the other employees whom I had known for some time to let her know that I came by and paid to pull my checks,because they could never find them ,but I trusted that everything was okay. Now to hear that I haven't been a Good customer just flooded me speechless. So I asked Melissa why hadn't she tryed to call me,well she stated she did..but could never get in touch with me,well I find this to be untrue with her knowing where I wrked. Well after seaching for any of her past employees..I ran into 2 of her male employees and I told them what had happened, and to my surprise they told me what really happened to the business on White Bridge Pk. Well it wasn't due to the May Flood...the files were deleted..and the only reason my checks were still there which they "doubted" because the Office manager was very on top of everything/done a very good job. So who's to say that Melissa still had some of my checks ..she hasn't to this day presented them to me, I just don't know. But I need to settled this matter once and for all. I have Never had any problems. I have known her some 12yrs,so this is mind baffling. What can I do to settled this matter,and what about my 200.00. Melissa stated if she knew how I was paying she would have never agreed to it, but how can you not know..it's your Business..should you know what's going on at all times. I have always purchased and had these agreements and never had any problems....and she had to know...so what's the difference now. I ve made good on all of them. My purchases have been good and I just don't know where to go from here.

It took 3 months to get a sectional that I was promised in 2 - 4 weeks. When it finally arrived, it was nowhere NEAR the sectional I originally ordered. When I asked them about this, they basically lied to my face and told me that it was the couch I had ordered (because I'm obviously an idiot who can't remember details like this.) When I mentioned the ugly veneer at the bottom that wasn't on the model I ordered, I was told it was "probably the lighting" in the showroom. Of course, I was told this after having to go down there in person to confront these morons. Our free ottoman that was supposed to come with the sectional also never came. After 6 months, three letters from our lawyer, and a formal complaint with the state of Tennessee, we finally got a check for the ottoman, plus a misspelled and grammatically incorrect "apology" from the owner Melissa. Save yourself a LOT of heartache, several minutes on your cell phone plan, and the possibility of a brain hemorrhage and stay away from this so-called "business."

I purchased a sectional from Nashville Metro Furniture Outlet less than 7 months ago. The guy that sold it to me led me to believe he was the owner. "I got $23,000 in rent to pay here. Let me cut you a deal", referred to himself as the "Old Fart". Just ask for the "Old Fart" he said. I paid $1000 cash, the piece was delivered and within a week the cushions were flattening on the ends and sinking in some places, not everywhere, but enough that guests noticed it. Also had to position yourself so you didn't lean.
I called over and over and the only time I got a call back was when I threatened top show up in their show room and make them very uncomfortable. I was told to stuff the cushions with foam from an old pillow. I was also told they were going to order new cushions. This was after I posted a review on this site and they read it. I called the so-called manufacturer and after sending them pictures, different numbers from the cushion cores and being told they would be here in a week by Metro Furniture Outlet, found out they never ordered them. Not only that. these people didn't even make my sectional! They, referring to Glen and the "Old Fart" didn't even put the correct info on my paperwork. Now I have no idea who the manufacturer is. No one has offered to come out and look at the "piece".
After I caught them in their lies they did offer to have someone make cushions. I don't have the time nor should I have to make the time for this. Nor should you. These people have been not only sketchy from the start, but after the sale their true colors really came out. The last time I emailed them, I told them they could come and get it and refund my money - No response.
There are plenty of places to buy furniture in Middle Tennessee. I do not suggest you buy it at Nashville Metro Furniture Outlet.

We have a Lane leather recliner we bought from Metro Furniture on White Bridge Rd. It has a lifetime warranty. We took paperwork and talked to Glen. Glen made a copy & said they would call us Monday. No call. We called Glen the next week. Glen said they will call us the next day. No call. We have tried to talk to Glen and also the lady on Harding and left messages, but no call back. We then contacted Lane furniture & they said mechanical parts was only 1 yr warranty. I will never buy from Metro Furniture again nor will I buy anything by Lane furniture. I am looking for a new couch and now a new recliner, but will never buy it from Metro Furniture. I have put in a complaint with Better Business Bureau. I see on Better Business Bureau they have several complaints against them there.

After SERVERAL phone calls to both Metro Furniture stores (owned by the same person by the way, so don't be fooled that one's better than the other),I still haven't received my loveseat, and it's been almost two month's. They told me several different dates on when it would be ready and I made arrangments each time to have it picked up and it was never available. They also never called to tell me when it wasn't there on the quoted days, I had to call and leave my phone number while they investigated, and even then would have to call back to hear it still wasn't there. I'm now trying to get my money back, the person they told me to speak to in charge of refunds (also the owner) will not return any of my phone calls. She has workers under her call and tell me that it will take least 21 day to get my money back!!!! While now I have nothing to sit on in my living room having got rid of my old furniture for the new!!! I have filed a complant with the approriate "bureau" hopefully this will get me somewhere, so that I can get my money back and buy new furniture else where.

I am a first time furniture buyer so am looking for a whole new house full of furniture. I started looking at Metro for a living room suite. I found a gourgeous couch and the NICEST sales person ever..Trae. Trae was VERy knowledgable and made me feel like she was my friend in helping me get a couch(aka "good salesperson") Not feeling 100% comfortable with the couch and wanting to think about it she encouraged me to just go ahead and put money down it so that it wouldn't be sold in the meantime and if I wanted to get my money back later there was no problem. Great idea right?!?! Well it would have been if that was the case. In returning 2 days later to let them know I needed to use that money on other pieces that I needed and would return for a couch at a later date I was informed that I would have to pay a $140.00 "restocking fee" even though the sofa was in the exact same place and the "for sale" sign never left the cushions. The salesperson who was my friend and so helpful, became so unhelpful and for some reason couldn't recall telling me I could get all my money back in the first place, After much debate with the manager she informed me that because they were "moral company" they would return my money and that Sarah would be calling me in the next week to get my CC info. (one note: A "moral company" would never rely on lieing to its customers just to make a sale.) I would love to tell you that the next week I received a call but unfortunetly I called them a week later and left a message for Sarah, and waited a week and just got off the phone with Sarah were she will be returning my money "later this afternoon" after waiting 2 weeks I think I deserve it right now. I have learned my lesson and will never support this so called "Moral Company" again.

Pros: They did have a great selection and it you are ready to buy they will be VERY HELPFUL

I purchased a Pennsylvania House sofa and chair, and as a 'deal' Gene threw in the ottoman. I also purchased a Lane contemporary chair recliner in burnt orange microsuede. It was taken to their warehouse because my house wasn't finished for another month or so. I phoned the store (as directed) to inform them of picking up the furniture at the warehouse. When I arrived, no one was there. Shortly someone arrived, wrapped and loaded the goods onto the truck of my hired moving company. When the items where unloaded, the Pennsylvania House pieces were in order and ideal for my new home. The microsuede ottoman had noticeable stains. I phoned the store to lodge my complaint. Metro sent some guy out (who didn't make it the first day he said he would come) with a spray bottle and a cloth towel to rub and rub and rub on the chair. When he finished, there were streak marks now on the chaire recliner. He stated he had done the best he could do and admitted he did not remove the stains, telling me when he existed that he would let the store know he didn't remove the stains. I asked him why the store would sell used furniture and he said he didn't know. He even had to tighten a screw in the back of the chair where it was even rickety. The cleaner offered to leave me a bottle to clean it myself. A brand new chair and I'm going to scrub away at it!?! Nonsense! I phoned the store and left message for Sarah to return the call. We've only played phone tag. To this date, this store has done nothing to appease me or provide me a new chair that is not filled with stains. Even in the part of the chair recliner where you rest your feet, the cloth within was complete with dirt as well. This is no way to run a business, but it is a way to run customers away. I won't return and have made certain to share this experience with all my friends.
