I heard of them from a friend who buys their prepared entrees, soups, and salads from The Produce Place on Murphy Rd near West End. I tried several things, found out the delivery schedule (Monday and Thursday by 5pm), and found myself addicted to everything they made, especially the ooey, gooey, butter squares. In the beginning, I never got much because my wife was all over it. I learned to buy 3-4 at a time. After more research, I found out that the owners, Jim & Emily Frith, used to own a local favorite. They owned The Corner Market, gourmet grocery store.
I booked The Catering Company for a party. The brought us Squash Soup Shooters, set up The JUICIEST Beef Tenderloin and southern yeast rolls, Jamaican Pork Tenderloin and Praline Mustard, Fresh Grilled Veggies, Cumin Roasted Potatoes, and Asparagus Rolls. My wife made me try Brushetta and I hate tomatoes....if lovin Brushetta is wrong, I will never be right again!
From the first email to the clean up, I have never had better service. The hosting professionals (that's what they called themselves) made me and my wife get a drink and relax while they set up the food and bar, served the shooters, made everyone welcome, got the door, served specialty drinks, and cleaned up, all while looking great, smiling brightly, and some were wearing heels. My wife was impressed and guess how easy that is....NOT! So impressed with the main food, drinks, and service, I almost forgot the ooey, gooey butter squares and coffee......GET YOUR OWN!!!!!
They are the most important part of my entertaining. When I give invitations, the guests ask whose catering? I can't even touch my own grill anymore. It's ok, though, I have more fun with my guests and my wife! Since I can't entertain everyday, I might as well tell you the truth.
Pros: They are completely perfect and accomadating!
Cons: I am gaining weight from the sweets.
