This restaurant was the worst steak house I have ever been to. Me and a group of friends and family ate here in October of 2010. The wait was too long. The menu prices sucked. The cheapest price for steak was $14 and it wasn't even steak. It was hamburger meat. The waitress was totally rude and uninviting. The total for me and 4 other people to eat was over $100. To top it off the way over priced hamburger meat made all of us sick. The only thing good about this place was the salad. it actually tasted good. Hope you never have to pay to be treated this way.

We used 2 be regulars at Alamo The friendly attitude of servers have changed and food quality is not what it used 2 be! We returned our steak only 2 have it served burnt We stopped by logans Roadhouse because of a special they were advertising Servers very friendly Managers came by table Food was very wonderful cooked done not burnt! We also recommend Texas Roadhouse Both seem very similiar Logans has better value!

We visit this area often and ALWAYS eat at the Alamo.\r\nTheir steaks are fantastic, salads are fresh and crispy, bread is excellent.\r\n\r\nWe have a number of family allergies and their chef is very in tune with supporting this need. They actually cooked a steak separately for my grandson to insure that there was no wheat contamination.

Pros: Food and service is consistently excellent.

Cons: We have found no cons after many visits

The waitress was a little put out when we got a $25 coupon from a time share. She was still showing some fussing when we didn't order alcohol or dessert. The prices was very high $24 a T-Bone steak with 2 sides, and $20 for grilled salmon with 2 sides. Surprisingly both were very good. I have spent that kind of money on elite restaurants, and this wasn't elite. Anyway, we never was asked or brought refills on our drinks. We asked for more bread. And, when we got the change. It wasn't small. So we left a $10 tip anyway, just because we wanted too. This was a late lunch.

What amuses me every time I drive past the Alamo Steakhouse is their sign proudly proclaiming they were voted best in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. By whom? Having been there 3 times over the last 2 years, I can say that I've never had a decent meal in either location. The meat has an old flavor, and once, when we were driving to the parking lot of the Gatlinburg location, we watched a box of frozen steaks being hauled off of a truck. One of the kitchen workers dropped a box, spilling the steaks on the ground. He picked them up, dusted them off, and carried them inside like nothing had happened. \r\n\r\nOn the inside, the atmosphere is dark and dingy, especially in the Gatlinburg location. It was once a Mexican restaurant, and oddly, some of the decorations from that earlier incarnation are still in place on the walls. The servers are ready for tourists, and they don't have the friendliness of the hometown folks that are so helpful elsewhere. In fact, on our last visit, our server didn't know where Townsend was (which will mean something to anyone who has spent a good bit of time in the hills of East Tennessee). \r\n\r\nDon't be fooled by the hype. This is an overpriced restaurant serving frozen pieces of beef for $15 or more per entree. Try the Park Grill in Gatlinburg for a better steak, and try Logan's Steakhouse in Pigeon Forge for a better experience.

The food at Alamo's is just awesome!!! In fact its so good, you will probably have to wait in a long line before you get seated. We just happened to get there as they opened so we were seated as soon as we got there but they filled up quickly and there was a line waiting to be seated when we left.

This place was so delicious we went back two nights in a row while on vacation. We had the fillet mignon and a rib eye. We're from Iowa so we've had some very good steak in our day but this is by far the best steak either of us have ever had. The service was great also. It's a little bit pricey but completely worth it!
