There are so many spas in Nashville now, that people say it's hard to choose. NO IT ISN'T!! Adagio has been around for well over 10 years (that's how long I've been going) and they just keep getting better, year after year. The staff is amazingly professional, the director is a really hands on person who tries to get to know the clients (Basha) and the services themselves are to die for. Don't miss this place. It's really a Nashville treasure!!
PROS: Everything!!!
CONS: Not one thing I could think of!!

I haven't been to Adagio in awhile because there is another day spa that is more easily accessible to me but I have nothing but great things to say about the massages the Adagio massage therapists give. They are absolutely amazing and relaxing - instant stress relievers. They know how to set the mood there too and play the appropriate soothing music that goes a long way to helping you relax.

My mom, knowing I was really stressed about school, gave me a gift certificate to Adagio for Christmas. I called right away on my Christmas break and they were able to fit me in. The staff was great in helping me decide which type of massage to purchase. They were very informative and answered all my questions. Everything at Adagio is relaxing, even the atmosphere. From the music to the scents to the lighting, you instantly get a sense of peace. The massage itself, was out of this world. I am already hinting for another gift certificate this Christmas!

I had a massage on Saturday, and it was fantastic, and all the extras (champagne, robe, cupcakes) really enhanced the experience. I will be back again most definitely.
P.S. I don't know what the last post was talking about. It is easy to find, the address is right on the buliding.
Pros: The massage, the delicious cupcakes, staff
Cons: too expensive to enjoy everyday

I would love to give this spa five stars BUT it was way too difficult to find and enter. I was having a massage with two friends scheduled on a saturday. I arrived 25 mins early and about 15-20 mins before my friends. I was unsure that I was in the right location as there is NO SIGN to indicate that there is a spa within the building. Also, the doors to the building were locked. I walked around the creepy parking lot and deserted building (there's a reason the door to the bldg is locked!) for about ten minutes ALONE wondering what the hell was going on. The massage had been booked by my friend as a gift; so, I did not have the # to call the spa. So, after a really nerve-wrecking confusing ordeal, my friend arrived who had booked the appt. and called the spa. A lady came down to let us in the building. After all that, I really needed the massage. So, the massage was wonderful (hot stone) and I thought the refreshments were a lovely touch. I enjoyed my massage so much that I am considering gift certificates as xmas gifts BUT probably not from Adagio as the accessibility is a major problem and a chore to deal with when you're going to a spa specifically to relax. I suggest a new location or at minimum a sign.
Pros: massage, spa atmosphere, refreshments
Cons: FINDING & ENTERING BUILDING

Due to overwhelmingly positive reviews expressed on this website, as well as dissatisfaction with the spa that I had previously frequented, I decided to try Adagio's. I cannot adequately convey just how accurate the consensus is with respect to the quality of services provided at this facility. My massage therapist was Alicia. By her own admission, Alicia's style is not for everybody. If you are looking for a sedate, Swedish massage, you may not consider Alicia's invigorating approach to be your "cup of tea." As a bodybuilder, however, I found her depth and intensity, not to mention her emphasis on sports massage, to be more directly germane to my needs than the skills of any previous therapist. Because of her pace, she also gets more accomplished in less time than any therapist I have worked with. It is, admittedly, a disservice to reduce the benefits of therapeutic massage to dollars and cents, but you simply will never receive a better "return on your investment" than time spent in Alicia's capable hands.

Pros: Extraordinary service and superior massage

I was in town producing a record for a while. On the day I arrived I blew my back out. After seeing a Chiropractor almost immediately I had lots of soreness and pain. I went to Adagio because of its convenient location and reviews. I went three times during the week to try to minimize my pain and discomfort. It got better by leaps and bounds every time I went.
Alicia was the therapist for the first two visits and did a great job. Kathleen was the therapist for the last visit and was amazing. Her attention to detail was superb. She found the problems and just did away with them. I strongly advise to use Kathleen to cure any discomfort, or to just truly relax. Worth every penny.
I just wish I could have her work in L.A.! Truly the best!
Pros: Amazing attention to detail during the massage
Cons: nope

The atmosphere is lovely, understated and relaxing, but really, here, it's all about the therapists. And it's so professional. I feel like when I'm here, my therapist actually wants to be working on me. And they work on what I ask them to, not just your 60 minute do the same thing every time massage. I've worked with Shelby, Shannon and Trey and they've all been wonderful. Yes, the building's a bit of a turnoff, but once you walk into Adagio's door, it's really nice. And who cares once you're in there anyway. Really good place!
Posted 02/13/09
Again, not to belabor the point--but the building is old and it is hard to get into if your appointment is scheduled after 5pm. Not to worry though, someone will be down to get you. I go here to get my eyebrows waxed. And it's one of the best in town (I don't trust my brows to just anyone). The staff is always very professional and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the smells (yes the smells) are great. HIGHLY recommended.
Pros: Great atmosphere, Great Staff, Highly Skilled
Cons: Old Building that is often locked.

Just had a couple's massage at Adagio. After reading some other reviews, I felt compelled to weigh in. Yes, as everyone says, the location is a bit disarming. Getting into the building was a bit difficult as it is locked to the public. Once in, it reminded me of an old Doctors office building, but it was very clean, just outdated. We took the elevator up to the second floor and entered Adagio. Upon a lovely greeting, we were guided to a small but adequate changing room where we were given robes and sandals and a lockbox for our belongings. In the relaxation room, we were offered a menu of drinks but chose lemon water. Once we had 'relaxed' we were brought into the massage room where our therapists told us all the 'need to knows'. We had a 90 minute massage that was professional in every respect. I have a friend who is a CMT/PT and occasionally gives me a complimentary massage. I recognized some of her technique in Adagio's. The experience was soothing and wonderful. After the massage, we were treated to some more lemon water, chocolate brownie bites and fresh fruit. Not rushed out and allowed to relax at our leisure. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Kudos!!

My friend and I read the hilarious reviews about the building in which the salon is located and thought, "Glad this couples massage was a gift!" We received a couples massage at 10am on a Saturday. The building was not the most aesthetically pleasing, but we were prepared. We sat outside for a few minutes until one of the spa staff came to get us. We were escorted onto an old elevator, in an old building. When we entered the spa it had soft lighting and the staff was professional and friendly. We were taken to a changing room that was FREEZING! The restroom was just outside of the changing room, it was very small and again OLD, but had nice touches with cloth towels and nice handsoap! We were asked to step outside when we were changed and then guided to a private couples-only "relaxation room." We were offered mimosas, bellinis, white or red wine. We both chose mimosa's that were served with a slice of strawberry in it - Nice Touch!
The couple's massage room was right off of the relaxation room so it was a short walk. Now for the massages - They Were Awesome! The BEST massage I have ever had and I have had several! Definitely do 90 minutes! The massage tables were warmed, the lighting in the room was perfect! Our therapists (Amber and Deirdra) were very professional and VERY thorough! If you want to feel really good after a massage - This is the place to go!
I can't say for sure, but I think they were a little uncomfortable about it being 2 girls for the couples massage, this was a little disappointing. Also, since the "relaxation room" was attached to the treatment room, we had very little time to sit in there after the massage before people were coming through the room to get to the treatment room. They had all the lights turned on and were changing the linens for the next massage. This seemed rude and like we were being rushed out! Overall the massage was Great! They could improve on some of the small touches that would make the entire experience better.

The staff was very professional and the massage I received was top notch! I have been to spas around the world and this was really right at the top! My friend and I had Alicia and Jen who were both amazing. I highly recommend Adagio!!

I received a gift card for my birthday and came to Adagio last week. After reading all the reviews I wasn't sure what to think, but decided that good or bad, I'd write a review with my take on the place. The reviews are true. Not a great building, but once you walk into Adagios door it's really lovely. Flowers in the front room and the sitting area. Nice! Given what they probably started with, I'd say the decor was really comfortable. Not your suburban la-dee-da type place. Very contemporary and linear, but warm. My therapist was Deirdra, and I have to say it was the best massage I've ever had. Ever! She's amazing. I was achey when i went in, and without being roughed up, she was able to get to all the pain points. It was evident to me that she was a very experienced massuese. I did have a glass of champagne before, and a cookie and fruit after, which was a nice touch, but truly, I came for the massage, and that's what i got. The staff was very professional, nice robes, etc. Just an all around good experience. If you're looking for more glamour, this may not be the place for you. For a fantastic massage in a clean facility with nice touches everywhere, I'd say this is a great bet.
Pros: fabulous massage, easy parking, very respectful environment
Cons: Area between music row and gulch still not really built up. Old building
Posted 05/28/08
The spa wasn't in a great location - off Division Street near Music Row. You wouldn't expect a spa to be there. The ceilings were a bit low and you could tell they had done their best to convert it into a spa atmosphere; low lighting, chill-music and candles everywhere.
We were directed to the 'Relaxation Room'. There, they offered us drinks. We chose wine - a white and a merlot. My wife commented that her wine tasted like "throw-up". I tried it and it was okay, but it wasn't good. Mine was a little bit better.
We were quickly escorted into the couple's spa room. The atmosphere and mood in the room was nice. My therapist did a fantastic job. She seemed to have more experience than the other, younger one. Mine focused on areas I pointed out were sore. She did a particularly good job under my shoulders - pressing on specific areas for an extended period of time. WOW - did it hurt, but it hurt so good! She also worked on specific areas I pointed out needed some extra attention.
After our massage was over, we were escorted back into the 'Relaxation Room' where we were served a small dessert with strawberries and water. The pastry was pretty hard. My wife's pastry actually went flying off her plate when she tried to cut a piece off with the spoon they gave us. We were told these were fresh-baked. They may have been at one time, but not when we ate them.
All in all, for the price ($70 per person), I would rate Adagio on Division Street average. The massage was good. The rest of the visit was below average - we could have done with better wine, better desserts, better atmosphere and friendlier massage therapists.
We both agreed we would not go back.
Pros: Massage Therapists
Cons: Food, Drinks, Atmosphere

We called an made reservations to have a couple's massage. We had a small problem finding it at first. HINT:Don't park out front. There is AMPLE parking on the side but if not looking you won't see it. We headed inside; the therapists were waiting on the steps for us. They guided us upstairs. She told us before we entered that they were remodeling so "bear with us." We stepped into the lobby and it was like stepping into a totally different building. She made small talk as she led us to the changing room. She gave us instructions, left us to undress and lock away our belongings. After we changed, we made our way into the sitting room where they asked us what we would like to drink: Organic juices, wine, or champagne. They left us there for a few minutes to talk. The massage therapists came in and led us to the room were we would get our massages. It was a cozy small room (but not tiny) with two heated massage tables. They gave us their names and told us which table each one would be at. You just choose the table you want when they leave the room. They told us to disrobe and lie face down on the table and cover with a sheet. They left the room while we got situated. They ask what areas you want focus on.. if any and also tell you that if it is too hard or too soft let them know and the can adjust the pressure to your liking. They work your whole back side: back, neck, arms, legs, and feet. It seemed as time flew by after about 60 mins she whispered it was time to flip, she held up the sheet and I flipped to my back. She spent 30 mins on my face, scalp, legs, & arms. She even massage my ear lobes! After we were done, they left the room and when you re-robe you go back into the sitting room and the brought in a fresh fruit salad, pastry, and H20. They leave you to finish up and you go back and dress when you're ready. All in all: We paid $200 (plus tip) for two 90 minute massages and felt as if we got the better deal. We will be back. Mother's Day is coming up! (Hint)
Pros: Everything...
Cons: Location.... finding it!

my best friend came up from charlotte to give me a massage for my birthday. we decided to do the couple's massage...
Pre-massage:
we were met at the door by 1 masseuse and led to a rickety dirty elevator and up to the location. she told us the dressing room was full - and led us to the waiting room - offered us drinks. came back with them and then told us the dressing room was ready and then asked us why we brought our drinks. they only had L and XL robes and S and M slippers - my friends feet were hanging out of the slippers and her robe hanging off her body. then they led us back to the waiting room and we were there less than 5 minutes before they took us to the room.
The Massage:
weak. that is the best way to describe it. it felt like they were Barely touching us. my friend said she kept getting the shortest strokes - like the girl would start at her elbow and stop the stroke even before she got to her wrist!!! WTF?
also Unsanitary. since the person massage my friend kept coughing on her. (afterwards, we noticed two taped gauze things on each arm - like she had just had shots... maybe it was allergies - but it's NOT the thing you want to see when someone is COUGHING on you during your MASSAGE!!!!!)
when it was over - they led us back to the waiting room - where we got to Finally drink our drinks. then 1 girl came back with a tray and said (and i quote:) 'Here are your OrganTic desserts" - my friend and i just looked at each other and said ' did she just...? wow.
about the OrganTic desserts: my friend described hers as: "a poppyseed muffin that was turned upside down and squished and spread with a dallop of glaze" if you are going to tote the organic dessert as such a selling point. know that it is ORGANIC - (no T) and make it look a Little appetizing please.
overall - i would NEVER go back there and i apologized profusely to my friend for spending $140 dollars on such a waste.
it was embarrasing.
Pros: none
Cons: atmosphere - massage skill - vocabulary - the dessert - HORRIBLE. WASTE of $$$$

I purchased a Couples Massage gift certificate for our Anniversary..... We were expecting to walk-in, lay next to each other, get a massage, and then leave.
Boy, were our expectations greatly surpassed!
We were greeted at the door by one of our massage therapists- led upstairs into a quiet candlelite room with a couch in it. They brought us wine and whatever else we liked to drink.....This allowed us to relax and get in the moment. - The therapists then came in the room after about 10 minutes or so, to learn about what massage techniques will suit us best. - We were ushered back into the massage room to find it candlelite as well, with rose petals everywhere! They gave us time to get undressed and speak to each other for awhile while just laying there. - Our 90 minute massage passed so quickly. Afterwards, they served more wine and served us dessert! We will absolutely come back to this place for our next massages!!!! They were EXCELLENT!!
Oh, and after reading some of the other reviews, I was initially worried that our massage therapists were going to talk during our massages- I asked them about that, and they said that they respond to the client- if the client is there talking, they respond back. If the client is quiet & relaxed, so it the massage therapists!
Pros: Couples Massage
Cons: Be careful when arriving, you could miss it!

I went to Adagio for the first time last week and had a very nice experience. I scheduled a Swedish massage, one hour, and requested a male therapist. Adagio is located in a convenient part of town, but located in a strange building (Young Executives) on the second floor. I had to call upstairs for someone to come down and let me inside the building (it was a Saturday) and then walked up the stairs to find it was located in an office building with several other businesses on the same floor.
Once inside, the attendants were very kind and professional, taking me to the dressing room. I changed into a nice, fluffy robe and locked my belongings in a personal locker. The accommodations were nice, but not overly spectacular or interesting. For the most part it was an office area with minimal decor.
But the service made up for it. I had a complimentary mimosa (tasty) and relaxed in the sub-par holding room. The chairs could have been a little more comfortable and the mood a little more relaxing, but still nice. I got a female therapist, even though I asked for a male, but it didn't really bother me. She was wonderful. She really concentrated on any area that I asked, and could be as deep or light pressured.
I have been to some very nice spas, and therefore may be judging Adagio too harshly. It was a lovely experience, and I would return. Moderately priced, great service, great massage.
Pros: Service, Massage quality
Cons: Atmosphere, decor, location in office building

I was a little 'underwhelmed' when I got to the building on Division Street. I'd received a gift certificate from a friend, and Adagio was not the place I usually go, but I had the certificate, so I thought I'd give it a try. The spa is on the second floor, and when I walked in, I was just amazed. The place smellls like fresh flowers. It's not too bright, and not too dim. I've found that some spas are so dark, almost like they're trying to hide something. The receptionist was professional, yet very cordial. I was taken to a changing room where I was given a robe and some very cool spa shoes. After changing, I was ushered to a room where classical music was playing, the lighting was just right and again, these amazing fresh flowers. I was offered a beverage. I chose apple juice, although the choice of wine and champagne was enticing. My therapist, Taylor came to get me from the room and took me into a really nice, very clean massage room. Wow!! What a massage. He's very, very strong, although he didn't hurt me at all. He was very good at judging what I needed. The massage was wonderful, and when it was over, I went back into the sitting room, where I was given some melon and berries, a really good heart shaped fruit filled cookie, and some water with lemon. I think I sat there for about 20 minutes before finding the energy to go back to the changing room and finally to leave. When I left, there was a different receptionist who was equally nice and professional. All in all, just a wonderful experience.
Pros: professional staff, great massage, smells like flowers
Cons: the building is a little old looking until you go in the spa

Lately , I have had trouble with my skin breaking out, acne, and blemishes. I set up an appointment at Adagio with their aesthetician. I came in with my own procedure in mine, but after my consultation I was sold and truly trusted her suggestion. The facial and peel she recommended was cheaper than the one I originally had in mine. This showed me she honestly wanted to do what was best for my skin type. During the procedure she explained to me my paticular skin problems and what causes them. She then recommended products from the local Walgreens that would help me. In the past I have gone to spas only to be sold on their expensive products and procedures not what is necessarily good for my skin. Adagio was nothing like this. The staff their went out of their way to make sure my experience was the unforgettable. It was relaxing, informing, and rejuvenating.Adagio your goal was accomplished. It was a Magnificent Experience! I will definitely be back!
Pros: Two thumbs up! Five Stars.

This was overrated. I actually went here b/c of reviews on this website. I checked out the spa's website, and all the treatments I chose were listed as "about an hour." However, only one of the three actually lasted an hour. My massage therapist talked to me the entire time, as did the person giving me the salt scrub. When asked why I chose the salt scrub, the therapist said "It isn't very relaxing..." The shower was TINY where I was asked to shower after the scrub and there were no hooks anywhere to hang my towels or robe (they had just remodeled, but wouldn't that be on a priority list?) I also had a facial. Originally I booked the least expensive, but they were out of something so I was "upgraded." It consisted of rubbing something on my face for a few minutes, setting a mask for about 10 - 15 minutes while the aesthetician rubbed my neck, scalp and arms - and lets just say she was NOT a massage therapist. Then the mask was peeled, toner sprayed on my face and I was on my way. All for the price of $85 ($105 value). I would never recommend this spa or ever go back there. The only good thing I have to say is they were on time and friendly ? but that doesn?t make up for a lack of relaxation and good services! They boast that clients are not hurried, you can relax in relaxation rooms, etc. - but my afternoon at the spa took two hours and 40 minutes for three services - and cost $235 plus tips.
Pros: friendly, on time
Cons: just about everything else

I live in New York City, so most of the spas I've been to have been enormous and brightly-lit, and even a little bit dingy inside, with people clamoring to sell their products. Not so at Adagio. When I walked in, I was in a lovely softly-lit room scattered with flower arrangements, and greeted by my therapist, Alicia, who was attentive and incredibly strong. After my 90 minutes were up (too quickly), she told me to take my time getting up, and she meant it. I was treated to a glass of water and fruit and cookies in the relaxation room after my massage, and no one asked me to buy a single thing. Best massage and spa experience I've had.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Adagio!
Professional, educated, skilled, personable, attentive,
compassionate, and FUN!
There is no better place in all of Tenn to get a massage!
You will feel as if you've died and gone to heaven!
I guess that makes Bascha an angel then. ;)
Adagio is what all Great Spas should aspire to be!

Pros: Professionalism, Personability, Skill
Cons: Not a one!

As a man I always thought that facials were not for me. Let me tell you that Adagio showed me how wrong I was. Debora is a combination of experience and a warm soothing touch that really took all of my stress away. Not only did I receive a wonderful facial but she also gave me a list of things that I should do to keep my skin healthy. Needless to say Adagio's massages are absolutely amazing and now that I know of their awesome skin care I will be doubling my visits. Men, if you are looking for a real stress reliever try Agadio's skin care center. You will come away feeling calm and relaxed. Thanks Adagio
Pros: Great staff

I have traveled to get massages outside of Nashville. The experience at Adagio's was truly awesome....I was met at the door by my massage therapist and ushered into a room where the mood was set to relaxing. I was truly pampered on that day what a way to celebrate your birthday and they did not even know.

My husband and I got the couples massage and they served us lunch, we made a day of it. It was so amazing! The staff was so attentive to all of our needs. They asked us what we wanted, told us what to except. We got the hour full massage and the 30 min face, scalp, shoulders massage. They even massaged my ears! I was thinking ok no big deal I've had a massage on Bath Row in Hot Springs AR. Nothing will beat that. I WAS WRONG, Adagio puts every massage I have ever had to shame. We are going to Adagio from now on and it doesn't have to be a special occasion, just because they are that GOOD. I can't say a bad thing about Adagio I loved to staff they really made us feel at home and like we were royalty.
Pros: Massage, Staff, everything!
Cons: NONE, NADA , I got nothin'

After reading lots of spa reviews for Nashville, this one kept coming up, so I thought I'd surprise my boyfriend with a New Year's Eve massage for two.I've been to lots of spas, and I'm always disappointed. What the promise and what they deliver are never the same. NOT SO HERE. It was the best spa experience EVER! The best part is we never felt rushed, and when these people say respect, they really mean it. First we had a mimosa, then off to the massage room (enormous). The massages were great, and my boyfriend thought it was the best thing since pizza, but that's another review. It's in a funky old office building, but it's like being in a big city. Once you walk into their space, the ambience totally changes. Fruit and cookies after the massage only made the experience better. Thanks Adagio for doing it right!
Pros: easy parking, respectful, great service
Cons: not long enough

My wife and I had a couples massage and it was incredible. We were visiting Nashville and we made an appointment at Adagio based on the reveiws here.
It did not dissapoint. My wife will get a massage once every two weeks or so and this is by far the best massage she has had -- including cruises and the Ritz in Sanibel.
We did not know that when you arrive at your appointment that you are the only customers present at the time. The place is yours. They gave us a glass of wine and it was very relaxing. I do not get as many massages as my wife, but I have to agree that it is the best I have had.
Pros: Service, Uniqueness, Wine
Cons: Hard to find

My mother and I visited Adagio Spa, I had never received a massage my mother however recieves massage on a regurlar basis. I was and still cant get over that i have gone all this time with out this in my life! We were treated with the upmost respect and the therapists actully cared about what our problem areas. Speaking for my mother she is wanting to move to Nashville just to have a spa like this which she dosent have at all near her. I however live her now and have a new addiction!!!
Thank you Adagio!!
Pros: lovely glass of wine
Cons: 60 min goes fast:-(

Not just a spa it's a total experience. Adagio offers sanctuary to those in need of a little pampering. Basha and the rest of the staff are so warm and friendly; they go the extra mile to make sure you feel comfortable and appreciated. I've done Illusions and the rest of the "must do" spas and none hold a candle to Adagio. This is a special place!
Pros: warm & inviting, spa to yourself, never rushed
Cons: none

I've lived in Nashville for 5 years, and this is the only spa I've been to where I don't feel anyone is pressuring me to buy anything or impress me with who they massage. I was shown the respect I feel everyone should be shown. The location in the gulch is so beautiful. It's very peaceful at the same time it's very cool and city-like. My massage was amazing. Brad is a very talented therapist, and it was the first ime I've been to a male therapist. They gave me the choice when I called, so I thought I'd try something new. I felt very comfortable and safe. When all is said and done, there's really nothing else to say except Adagio will have my business forever!
Pros: great massage, good parking, atmosphere
Cons: none

My wife and I were very impressed with the service at Adagio. They made us feel really relaxed. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. The spa was very clean and the atmosphere alone was very relaxing. Be careful the treatment is very addictive...I've already made an appointment for next week. Our appointment started ON TIME....finally somebody got it right...Thank you for relaxing me Adagio!
Pros: Value, Staff, Skill

It took a little convincing to get me to go to a "spa", but my girlfriend thought it would be good to do this together, so I reluctantly went. What a surprise. Just walking in the door made me feel relaxed. I spend my days hunched over a soundboard, and I have to say, the hardest thing I've done in a long time was to get off that massage bed. I don't remember feeling like this in years. I'm a new man. I've had massages before when I've been on the road, but this was a first here in Nashville. From the way I feel, and have felt since having my massage, I've got to say, Adagio has got to be the best massage in Nashville. It doesn't get better than this.
Pros: talented therapist, nice looking place, easy to find
Cons: had to leave

I definetely recommend the duo massage to the couples... The staff was very friendly and professional. When we left the spa we felt very relaxed and rejuvenated.

I would highly recommend Amber who is a very professional, skilled massage therapist. The environment is perfect for privacy and relaxation.
Pros: skilled, private, punctual

I've been coming to Adagio Spa for the last two years. I've made a point to try many of the different therapists, depending on what I happen to need on the day of my appointment. When I schedule my appointments, I'm always given a choice of location, type of massage, location and choice of female or male therapist. It's beautiful at the Gulch location, and the Music Row location is dark and soothing. I'd have to say, it's the best massage experience in Nashville. I never feel rushed. Deirdra, Melissa and Amber are my favorite therapists.
Pros: professional, highly skilled, easy parking

From beginning to end, this was the best massage experience I've had in Nashville. My fiance and I arrived at 2:00 for a couple's massage in the Gulch location. It was very small, and the decor was so chic. Very contemporary, yet really warm and inviting. We were offered a glass of wine, and while we drank, we got to know our therapists. The massages were just amazing, and afterwards, we were given fruit in martini glasses and cookies. We were left to relax and regroup while they went back into the massage area cleaned up for their next massages. We were not rushed out, on the contrary, we were told to take our time. Certainly like no other spa in Nashville.
Pros: professional, courteous, respectful

We arrived for a couples massage and found the spa to be very very small, spartan, and dimly lit. We were greeted by a man and a woman who ushered us into the massage room, they stood over us while we had our wine and cookies and they asked rather personal questions. I personally have never seen a male massage therapist dressed like a GQ model with gold hanging from wrists and fingers. I didn't care for the vibe nor the probing questions before and after the massage, or being stood over while a I tried to relax with my girl and share the experience and wine.

I have been going to Adagio now for over a year and never been disappointed. Melissa is wonderful and as I roll out of my office and onto the table its like leaving one planet for another. Cookies and wine and some convivial conversation end the whole experience very pleasantly. The Gulch is by far the most enticing location - try it once even if its a little out of the way.
This group is always courteous, cheerful, prompt and professional.
Pros: Staff, Ambiance, Timely

This is the most wonderful massage experience I have ever had. From making the appointment to meeting my therapist to enjoying a glass of wine to the massage itself and then to get cookies and fruit at the end is truly what makes this place the best in Nashville. The atmosphere is so relaxing and you do not feel rushed at all. I have already told my friends about it and I plan to visit very soon in the near future.

I surprised my husband with the duo massage and it was a GREAT experience. The staff made us feel relaxed and completely comfortable, which made everything wonderful. They offer you wine and juice and then discuss your treatment and answer any questions you may have. After a wonderful massage they treat you to fresh fruit and cookies. My husband and I have decided that we will definitely return and have told all of our friends about Adagio. It was FABULOUS!
Pros: Comfortable, Great Staff, Peaceful & Relaxing

I have a new vice...Spa Adagio. I should have visited a year ago when I first heard about the spa. The moment I walked in I lost all nervousness about having my first massage. From beginning to end the knowledgable staff caters to your individual needs. Start with a refreshment of your choice, tell of areas of your body that need special attention, receive an amazing massage set in a tranquil environment (sound, lighting, aroma), take your time after the massage to re-enter the world and then you are treated to fresh fruit and refreshments while you reflect on the experience. And don't be afraid to do this with a best friend or significant other! It provides another kind of bonding experience.
Pros: attentive staff, atmosphere, pamper

I have to say that the experience that I had with Adagio was beyond my expectations of a spa. I had never been to a spa previous to my experience with Adagio because of the stories that I had heard and images of large spas with many people going in different rooms to be pampered. I wanted something that was going to be focused on me and allows me to relax in peace and quiet. The location that I went to was dowtown Nashville and it was an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation. It was a three room location including waiting room and bathroom. The rooms were dimly lit with relaxing music in the background. THe staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I know that I will always you Adagio from now on.
Pros: Private, Quiet, CAN have 2 to a room

This was my first massage experience. As soon as I stepped in the door I knew I would be back again. Adagio stives to make one feel comfortable, and the patience and attention given to the customer is a welcome relief from the stress of a work day. Melissa concentrated her talents on my neck and upper back. THANK YOU, I can turn my neck now!!!
This expereince is perfect for anyone who is turned off my the thought of a crowded pretetious spa. It is relaxing, upscale, and extremely personal. I will definitely visit Adagio again. Thanks Bascha!

My fiance bought a gift certificate for a couples massage for the two of us. I was a bit hesitant about two people having a massage together, but I was so wrong. It was so romantic, so relaxing, just so wonderful. Our therapists were attentive, very concerned about what we were looking for as far as the massages. They brought us champagne before the massage, and after, while we ate fruit and delicious cookies, they left us alone so we could reflect together on the past hour. Thanks, Adagio, and thanks, Robert.
Pros: excellent massage, attentive staff, soothing atmosphere
Cons: can't do this every, day

We received a gift certificate and when we came to receive our massages.....We were both very happy with our reception....Adagio has a relaxing effect on you immediately upon entering. The warmth, aroma, and pleasant staff really starts this experience off right. The massages were out of this world. We will be using Adagio again and again.....Thank You
Pros: Therapists, Overall feeling, Respect
Cons: Parking

I get a massage from Adagio about once a month and just want to comment on the level of service and professionalism all the therapists deliver. I'm always made to feel better that "right at home". It is always one of the highlights of my month... a little piece of "me" time and everyone at Adagio works hard at delivering an unforgettable experience. They all just LOVE what they do as well as who they work for and it shows in their easy-going professional attitude. Of course they are all excellent therapists as well! I recommend them to ANYONE and EVERYONE!
Pros: variety of therapists, good parking, never rushed

I'm one of those people that can get wound up like a yo-yo. Relaxing is something that I doesn't come easily. Immediaetly upon walking into Adagio, the ladies and gentleman made me feel very comfortable. The soothing music and aromas coming from the room where I was about to get my massage made the complimentary glass of wine that much better. After receiving the best massage ever, I was delighted to find that somehow in the middle of winter Bascha had found fresh fruit to serve with a nice dip to top it all off. It was a great experience.
