Went during the christmas holidays. the atmosphere was most festive. I absolutely loved the green fried tomatoes with a cheese and spinach sauce topped with chipolte salsa. I also had the wings they were large and plentiful and the sauce great. The servers were very friendly and it felt warm and inviting like a family owned business. The history of the building was so interesting being the billy the kid had been arrested on the front steps. It was one of the first saloons in knoxville opening its doors originally in 1888. the stagecoach ran in front of the resturant and the train behind it. It was too cold to enjoy the great patio out back but will use it when the weather permits. I was happy to see the new free parking area the city built just steps away thats covered by the interstate above and very well lite. this new parking its great for the entire old city. I noticed alot of renovation on buildings in this area. I really thankful that the oldest part of the city of knoxville is alive and doing quite well

Went here Friday night for a bite. After waiting 15-20 minutes in a front area with no where to stand, we were shoved in a side table with a very loud large table next to us and on top of us if any of them wanted to get up to go to the restroom OR if their server had anything for them.
Had to go get our own menus from the bar area since our seater didn't provide them. After waiting another 10-15, another server (our waiter) FINALLY showed up to take our DRINK orders. We just had him take our orders in full since we were ready...he was NOT..and it showed. This flustered him.
Drinks came in plastic cups with infrequent checks for refills. Meal arrived about 30 minutes after ordering only to be some of the most bland pasta I have EVER had. The shrimp in the plate still had the tails too. Needed salt and pepper to give it any kind of taste.
Took forever to get check and get out of there too.
