The Dixie Stampede is a great place to visit if you are in the Smokey Mountains. The entire concept is unique. The food is excellent, with large portions. The show is interactive and fun for all ages. As with most tourist attractions, it is expensive. However, it's fun and entertaining.

This place is so much fun!!! They serve you dinner while you sit back and watch their amazing show. The show includes horses, live buffalo, ostrich races, and so much more. The arena seats1,000 people around a 35,000 square-foot arena at each facility. You will truly be amazed!! Fun for the whole family.

I must agree with other posters about the price of Dixie Stampede. I also agree that the show is wonderful, and it is even better for the Christmas show. But, for a dinner show, this is just a little too expensive. The food was ok, and the portions were large. I would have rather paid less and just seen the show.

Dixie Stampede is VERY expensive, you are paying for the celebrity name. The show is good and the food is good. There is a preshow in the non alcoholic saloon, (drinks are big $$$ but they come in a souvineer boot to take home with you). They also take your picture as you come in, then later they come around to your section and try to sell it to you. You are given a cup of soup to start with (awesome soup) and a roll, next you receive 1/4 slab of ribs, a cornish game hen, a half ear of corn, steak fries and a cookie or turnover for dessert. You also get all the tea, pepsi or coffee you'd like. The crowd is divided into the North and the South (we sit on the South side of course). The employees ride ostriches, around the dirt arena (try not to sit on the 1st level as they unintentionally fling dirt at you and it gets in your food), then they have two groups of horse riders who compete in different events (the north and the south). The costumes are nice, they also have stampeding buffalo in the show, (new in the last year or so). There is big audience participation, and since you eat with your hands and you cannot clap your hands you are expected to stomp your feet for applause, The stands are wooden so it sounds like a stampede (hence the name). The servers serve each course individually, going down the row of customers serving each item. They are good and work hard. They also really try to get their section fired up and into the show. After your meal they run by and pick up your dirty dishes and right before the show ends they go up to each individual guest in their section and shake your hand and they expect you to give them a tip at this time. The food is very good and the show is good but the price is very high especially if you bring a large family with you. Adults are $35.99 EACH plus tax, Children 4-11 are $18.99 plus tax. I don't know about you but $71.98 plus 9.75% tax for two people for a meal and show is WAY too expensive.

PROS: Good Food, Good show, good service
CONS: PRICE $71.98 plus 9.75% Tax for 2 people... OUTRAGEOUS!

What a great place! Excellent food and show. Theres a pre show also, where you can enjoy great drinks. The horses are beautiful! They also have a gift shop. You will get full here, but no silverware allowed! Its a fun place for the entire family! You won't be disaapointed. Also check out the Christmas show!

Great dinner & show for the whole family. But be warned, you eat with your fingers! The food is good, and show is highly entertaining. Horses are gorgeous! The little ones in your family will definitely remember this event.

Visitors to this attraction may enjoy a four-course feast while experiencing an exciting interactive show consisting of horses, daring riders, southern bells, music, clean comedy, dancing and much more. Which side will you be on tonight? The North (dang Yankees!) or the South (yeehaw!). During the show they pick/choose people from the audience to be part of the show. They pick out children from the audience to partake in all sorts of silly games and relays as well. The show is terrific, the food is delicious (usually consists of your own personal capon chicken, rolls and all the fixins), and it's all well worth the ticket price .

When you enter the Dixie Stampede you can have your picture taken with a Southern Bell (later on you can choose to purchase your picture to keep as a souvenir, however it's not mandatory). Have a seat in the saloon (non-alcholic drinks) and enjoy the comedy show while you wait for the main event. After the main show take a stroll in the gift shop and you can even meet all of the horses that take part in the show in the stables located on the side of the main building.

PROS: Great show, delicious southern food, & fun interactions during the show.
CONS:
