This used to be one of the best offices I had been to in years. It used to be a very good practice but has turned into Tennessee Medicine and Nurse Practitioners and the Dr. McCollum seems to never be there anymore and is always in a hurry even after you get an appointment with him. I think this is more like a corporate type place then what its previous roots were. I know its a doctors office and its a business but it used to have a homey comfort feel to it now its just a business to get you in and out as quick as possible. I never write bad reviews on anything but I just want to steer people away from here before wasting time and effort trying to receive good care from here. If this place ever decided to return to its roots then yes I would highly recommend but it seems this is headed to become a huge corporate doctors office. Please be warned and hope you find someone who gives you the time and care you need as health care is crazy as is price wise. Thanks

Long waits, misinformation,a patient mill atmosphere. In eight visits to the practice I was seen by a physician only once. The other visits were all handled by nurse practitioners. I made appointments that were described as work ins after the fact. The staff castigated me for complaining, even though no one ever informed me that my appointments were considered work ins.

We have never had to wait more than 15 minutes. I would recommend to anyone! We know several families that go to this office and love it. The doctors are very good with my 13 yr old son and put him at ease.

I started with this practice nearly ten years ago, when it was just Dr. McCollum and Dr. Perkins. In that time, the practice has grown tremendously to include numerous physicians and even more nurse practitioners. If you are okay being treated by a nurse prac or having to wait three weeks to get in with an MD, this is the group for you. But don't be in a hurry once you get there for your appointment; you can count on waiting at least 30 minutes to see the practitioner. Giving 2 stars on this one, as I would not recommend to anyone I care about. In fact, I'm changing my PCP as soon as possible to a physician who is easier to access and doesn't have an attitude when confronted about the excessive wait times.

We have been seeing Dr. McCollum for probably 8 years and have never had a problem. He is always courteous and takes his time to make sure all of your questions and concerns are addressed. He cares about the whole person, physically and emotionally. We have also see other doctors in the practice as well as Nurse Practitioners and have been satisfied with all.

This doctors office was once a very good group of doctors to see. The past couple of years Dr. McCollum and Dr. Perkin's have become very rude and arrogant with their patents. Dr McCollum had trouble diagnosing common problems which another doctor had no trouble diagnosing and treating. He always seems to be in such a hurry with a large percentage of appointments being canceled and having to be rescheduled. Nurse do most of the work at Tennessee Med. and Ped. and it's very hard to even get into see a doctor or talk with a doctor. My family as well as myself were insulted, laughed at and disrespected on several occasions. There are many poor reviews on the web on this group, hello?

This is a wonderful doctor for anyone that is one day old until they are 150 years old! Everyone at this office is nice and caring. They have the ability to listen to you and not just hear what you are saying. I have seen them for an anexity disorder and they have treated me like they are fixing my illness and not me. I have been really satisified with the improvement that I have seen in myself while under their care.
