My children have been going to Goose and Gander for almost 3 years. It's been a good place to take them for the most part. There was lack of parent involvement in the past, but they have since corrected that. Daily reports are being sent home as well as educational updates showing what the kids are learning and working on.
Most of the staff have been there since we've been taking the kids. But there are some newer additions, and you can tell.
There has been a fairly high level of turnover in the past, and that has been a motivation to move the kids. But they adjusted as to eliminate undo stress on the kids. Turnover has seemed to slow recently.
There has also been some discussion between my wife and I about the price of the daycare and the location. The daycare is located in Peagram, just outside Davidson county. But the rates are in line with schools closer to Nashville. Doesn't seem to be in line with other multi-location centers we've researched before. As well, like all other daycares, you have to pay a week ahead, you have to pay even if you're child doesn't attend, and there is a price increase every fall. Don't let the "your childs tuition goes down $5 every year" sway your decision. While yes your childs tuition does decrease every year, the fall price increase is for the same $5.00. Kind of a bait and switch if you ask me.
We're happy for the most part. And now that our oldest is in Mrs. Renee's room, we're much more comfortable.
