American Child Care Inc

I have no comments about this particular child care center. I am currently enrolled now and have experienced minimum problems thus far. I do have issues with school aged children placed in the same classroom as 5 year olds...

This is the best childcare i have encounter. Structured facility with great loving people. They really take interest in what they do. I have my two children in this center for five years. When they stopped doing schoolagers i was scared to death. The Director is now having to bring back the schoolagers because of popular demand. She is the best Director ive ever met. Her name is LeAnne Goodwin. Just a short note to say we love you LeeLee.

My kids started going there in December! and my poor daughter who is now 11 months old has been sick every 2 -3 weeks with something. They gave her the wrong bottles on 3 different occasions. Never could tell me whose bottles she was given. They gave her other babies pacifiers, let her chew on others socks. They were always on cell phones.

In my sons room he went a whole day without being changed. (he is in the three year old classroom) A teacher yanked my son by the arm across the room, and this was witnessed by a friend of mine. That happened last week. They put this teacher back in his room yesterday and he just lost it cuz he is scared of her....They pulled him out and made him sit in the office in a time out. The girl in the office when I picked him up told me this teacher was in the room and thought it was funny that my son had problems with her. He has come home with dried up popsicle on his face and legs because they were too lazy to clean the kids after they ate. They refused to take the kids to the bathroom last friday because the light was out. So, potty trained kids were forced to pee and poop on themselves because of a broken light. As of today, it was still not fixed, according to my friend and the corporate office. I pulled them out yesterday. There is no curriculum or structure in this room and the teacher yells at the kids all the time. No matter what time of day I am in there she is yelling.

I have reported them to corporate and to DHS.

I thought this would be a great daycare for my daughter since they hold a 2 start rating with the state and it was right down the street from the house. My daughter turned two in Feb. however she has been potty trained since 1/12/08 . The first week she started there she came home with a mark on the side of her face which was fine because kids will be kids. the second week came and she had a different mark on her face and everyday that i picked her up this week she seemed to use the bathroom on herself everyday sometimes twice a day the last week was it for me she came home with her nose all messed up and she again everyday used the bathroom on herself everyday. I told myself she is scared up here. I ask the staff what happen to her and they said we will find out and tell you tomorrow, The next day they said kids was fighting i ask what was she hit with they response was nothing "not true" . I started looking for a new day care with the quickness found one i gave her notice but went ahead and took her out and started her at the new daycare and she has not had any problems not going to the bathroom on her self daily not fighting with children she is at peace. I don't think the staff cares about watching the kids they let them do whatever the only thing they care about is getting the fee each week. Oh and i will be reporting them to the state because there are other issues i have with this daycare.

This daycare is an overall good daycare. They take good care of the children, and show them all love and attention. The only con I can think of would be that I have heard they do not do a very good job at teaching the children, but my child is only 1 year old so I do not know that first hand. I would definatly recommend American Childcare to anyone looking for a child care facility in the Antioch area.
