I had my eyebrows done by Flora! I loooooooooooooooooooooove them! It is so nice to wake up and have eyebrows haha! She is the nicest person and reminds me of Dolly Parton (who is pretty much my favorite human being ever!) I am NOT a pain person at all and she was so gentle with me and it really did not hurt much at all! She is amazing and I plan on getting my eyeliner and lip liner done!

Trainee right out of training

Ok I just have to reply just to what I wrote, just something little, the one who claims Flora messed her eyeliner up, if you do further research and look under her name you will see where all she has left reviews, ok first off she leaves an ok review for her cosmetology school that she attended and then leaves a wonderful 6 stars for another cosmetic shop (that she might be currently working at) that just happens to also do permanent makeup there and then a really bad review of Flora's shop, so just by looking, it looks as though she might have opened or is working for the 6 star shop just to boost reviews and trash Flora's (really bad sport), but I may be wrong, take a looksie just to see:)

Excellent experience
by Carmen S.
I personally had an excellent experience with Flora on both a cosmetic and medical issue. I highly recommend her. I initially went about 4 years ago for eyeliner. I let a student do it and was very nervous but Flora was there coaching her the entire time. When I went back for a touch up, Flora noticed something that I didn't and fixed it for me. She wants her work to be perfect even if she has to do it no charge, she feels its her duty to do what she thinks the customer would expect. i was very impressed by that. I liked her so much that 17 of my friends went to her after that. That must say something about her quality of work.
A year later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I opted for a double mastectomy with reconstruction. When it was time for nipple repigmentation, my plastic surgeon said he would not do it, he wanted to send me to the best and her name was Flora West. I was amazed. I had no idea she did anything but cosmetic procedures. I went to her and she matched my color up to my lips and with pictures, she matched them up to size. They are perfect. Its time for a touch up, and I would not even consider going anywhere else.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with this shop. I had mine done in November 2006 and it looks good as new today, January 2008. Brandi was VERY professional and the atmosphere was top notch and VERY sanitary. I couldn't have asked for better service! Brandi had me wear my eyeliner in as I like to wear it so she could match the thickness of the tattoo. It was a little costly but VERY WELL worth it! Keep up the good work ladies!!!!

Clarification of Permanent Cosmetics Procedure
by Flora W.
In response to the review posted by Karla B.
After reading this review our office attempted to contact her by email to find out more about her unpleasant situation that she says happened at our office. She never gave us a response. Also, we have searched our files and we cannot find a file on anyone with the name Karla B. In the email we asked that she contact us but received no call. We
can't contact her to find out more about this matter because we have no idea how to do so. We are
not only an establishment performing permanent cosmetics by state licensed artists like myself, but we are also a training center where students actually practice the art of facial tattooing on
individuals who pay a lesser charge or sometimes are simply models and pay nothing at all. If one chooses a student because of price we always explain to them that they are learning. Since
she says I didn't do the procedure and we do not teach eyeliner any farther than from eyelash to eyelash on upper and lower I cannot understand what happened. It's simply against the plastic surgeon guide
lines that we work by. I would be glad at anytime
to discuss this matter and since photos are required before and after and releases are signed, this is very confusing to us. We would love the opportunity to talk with Karla and find out more about this issue. As for the office at Papermill Point we have only been there 2 1/2 years and have
had no complaints until now even about the students
work, and are very much open for business. We are
inspected at random by the Dept of Environmental Health and we do adhere to CDC and OSHA Guidelines.
As for me packing up my tattoo machine and going back to Tazewell to do hair---I do own a salon in
New Tazewell and have been a licensed Esthetician and Cosmetologist for well over 20 years. I have
a nail techinician/hairdresser (Tammy Petty) who
is a previous salon owner, DeeAnn Wells, hairdresser and previous salon owner of approx. 20 years and my daughter Brandi and myself do permanent cosmetics, facials and etc. there one day a week simply to accomodate our customers from that area because we live there. We work in our
Papermill Office the other 4 days a week.
I simply wish we had been contacted about this matter prior to this post because we have over
7,000 clients and have had very few problems in
the 20 years in business and certainly nothing
like this.

I had the misfortune of having my eyeliner done here. There was no consultation offered, other than the usual paperwork. I talked to Flora about a procedure but did not meet the woman who did the procedure on me until it was almost time to start. I needed eyeliner that covers 2/3 of my bottom eyelid, but was tattooed from corner to corner anyway. It was not even close to my lash line, giving me a "cross-eyed" and "droopy eyed" look. When I protested her going all the way across, she advised me that I would "love it" and that it was too late anyway! Everyone that I know of that has had their eyeliner done here was unhappy for the same reason. The eyeliner is too heavy and unnatural and badly done. I wanted a "charcoal" color, but was injected with black straight from the bottle, which turned blue within months. I had to pay $350 to have it fixed by another place, but there's nothing I can do about the heavy line that goes from one corner to the other. Also, someone was puppy-sitting and there was a dog in the reception area. I don't see how that's legal! I recently heard that she had packed up her tattoo machine and went back to fixing hair. Good luck to her.
PROS: I will never have to apply eyeliner again. Ever. Just concealer
CONS: heavy, un-natural eyeliner for the rest of my life!
