I am a fairly frequent shopper at Wild Oats Market. This is an exceptional store for many reasons. The first, of course, is the fine quality of of their products. It is obvious that they are focused on bringing us a large variety of healthy choices in everything from fresh produce to cereal to shampoo to a fabulous deli. However, their focus doesn't stop there.I don't know who is charged with hiring and training their employees, but they get kudos from me. An employee always seems to be within my vision. No matter what they are doing, they are cordial and very knowledgeable about the product I am trying to find. Whenever I pass an employee stocking a shelf or cleaning up a mess in an aisle, they will stop what they are doing and ask me if they can help me with something. I have never had to wait for an employee to get off of a cell phone or finish their conversation with a coworker. They always seem to be busy little bees who are not too busy for me. I think that in Memphis we have become accustomed to and even accept retail workers who answer our inquiries with various versions of, "I don't know". You will not find this attitude at Wild Oats Market. How many of you have ever heard of Stevia or Oregano Oil or knows what a pro-biotic is? Well I haven't been able to find an employee at Wild Oats Market who not only knew exactly where the product was, but voluntarily showed me my choices with the product. If you are a first-time shopper of a market that focuses on healthy choices, I urge you to visit Wild Oats Market on Poplar Ave. You will not be disappointed.

The only thing wrong with Wild Oats is that it's too far away from where I live....sure wish they'd build one in DeSoto County! Of course their prices are higher, but you can be sure of the quality of what you purchase there. I especially like their selection of spices, which are fresher and can be purchased in any amount you want. They also have a great selection of gluten/wheat free pastas.
