My sales lady, Roxy, was very nice. I agree with the negative comments from other customers about the owner. He wanted to sell us a high priced clock. I pointed out the clocks I was interested in and he said that Roxy could take care of me and walked away. I thought it very rude. I almost left but then Roxy was so nice. I did buy a clock but I think it is the first and last time I will purchase from that particular store.

My wife and I travel to Gatlinburg quite often.
On each occasion, we like to go into the
"Clock Peddler" on Parkway.
One of the best times to be in the shop is when
all the clocks chime on the hour.
The service is great and they deliver and set
your clock up for you.
Going to Gatlinburg? Check out the "Clock Peddler"

I have been shopping for a Cuckoo clock for some time now and found The Clock Peddler while browsing shops. While the staff was helpful, the owner was not. My husband and I had looked at about 6 different clocks and I was narrowing down the selection when "the owner" came over (he introduced himself as the owner and I suppose he has no real name or perhaps that is his name). He pointed out that all my selection were very different and varied in price as well (from $600 - $1800). Immediately he asked if price was an issue which it wasn't... I explained that I was torn between which carvings I preffered along with if I wanted music as well as the dancers as a feature. We started discussing the way to cleaen under the more intricate figures on some of the chalet style clocks and that I could see that as also being a determining factor since it would require more time and frequency to clean some of the more ornate ones. He told me that a "man" needed to teach me to clean and proceeded to walk away from me and stand at the sales counter IN MID CONVERSATION. Needless to say, we left and were a bit appalled that a shop owner would cost himself a sale and behave so rudely. I would NOT recommend purchasing ANYTHING from this store. They do not have the ability to provide customer service or the initiative to follow through with a for sure sale. I have never been more disappointed with a store experience in all my days. I have since began searching for other avenues of which to purchase the cuckoo clock I have always wanted.
