Buyer Beware! We specifically requested from our salesperson Vince Bryant at the Parkside Drive location that we wanted leather recliners made in the USA. He showed us four to choose from. Two by Bradington Young, one from Flexsteel and one from Southern. We really liked the Flexsteel and the Southern. Even though he assured us that he had been in the furniture business for decades and these were top of the line made in USA recliners I wanted to do a little research before making a final decision. So when I go home I find that the Flexsteel recliner was part of the Lattitudes Collection and made in China, so that was out. When we returned to the store to buy the Southern recliner he asked me if I was sure about the Southern because he thought that I would to be happier with the Flexsteel. I told him that it was made in China and he acted surprised that it could even be possible. So I asked him if the other recliner really was a Southern because there were no manufacture tags on the chair anywhere. I looked under the chair, under the cushions and anywhere that a tag could go on a piece of furniture. He looked at the tag that was attached by the store and the code said SNY. He thought that stood for Southern and asked another person on the sales floor. No, she said it stood for Synergy. My husband asked if that was made in the USA. Vince Bryant said that it was. So we let him write it up and there is a $179.98 charge for a protection plan that my husband told him we most definitely did not want. When I asked him about what the charge was for he said that it was for the protection plan that he thought I wanted. He then acted angry that he had to go to the trouble to take it off and re-write it up. Could have been he was angry that he would not get the commission for the added insurance policy that generally is not worth the paper it is written on. We were told that they never sell chairs off the floor and that there was only one at the warehouse. No problem we would wait a couple of weeks and get both chairs at the same time. This made it a "Special Order" even though it was a stock chair that they have and no returns on "Special Order". We received a phone call that they would be there on Thursday February 13th and we could pick them up at the warehouse on the 14th. I took a day off work and drove the 80 miles to get the chairs only to find that after an hour and a half wait they had to pull one off the floor and get the other from the warehouse. So much for "Special Order" and we do nor sell furniture off the floor. Then when I get home with them and unwrap one right on the bottom the sticker said MADE In CHINA. I called the Parkside Drive store and asked to speak with Dave Tom, the store manager. I told him what had happened and he immediately transferred me to Vince Bryant. Mr. Bryant said that he would have to buy the chairs back and that he just could not do that. Now why he would have to purchase a stock chair for me to return a China made chair that he sold me as made in USA is beyond me. We asked if we could exchange them for something else in the store made in USA and he said that most manufacturers use parts made in China but he would work on it. I understand that and told him we wanted a chair manufactured in the USA by American workers. He said that he would call us back on Tuesday the 18th. I still had his card and it said Tuesday was his day off so I called him on Sunday to see if he had come up with a solution. He said he was working on it and would call on Tuesday. No phone call came so on Friday my husband called him and he said he would be going in to work late that day and would call back. Still waiting for that phone call.

We bought furniture twice from the store on Parkside Drive. The sales people are very nice and we didn't have an issue with the first purchase. The second purchase was a different story. It's been a month and we are still harassing the store about our delivery. They did a partial delivery (had the wrong parts for the bed and were missing a side table) and to this day they still don't have it all figured out... I am very disappointed and annoyed, as it really messed up our plans - i.e. this furniture was for a guest bedroom, so our guests can't use it as is now... I'm very irritated with the way they handled the process - no customer service and no sense of urgency to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be buying anything else from them.

DON'T EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM THERE.......CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!!

We bought our bedroom sutie, living room set and coffee and end tables from there in august 2011 and purchased the insurance to go along with it.. The delivery came as promised but the delivery guy did the sloppiest job putting the bed from and metal support together; he scratched the foot frame and the bed rail came cracked. Reported the defect with the bed rail right away and have been waitng ever since and nothing yet. Jumping from one manager to another, and each one pointing fingers at the others and the ware house and then finally one manager informs me that the kingsize of that bedframe is dicontinued??????? OK is that my problem; this was their answer in around feb 2012 (after waiting and calling for about 6 months and store visits), we informed you of this since aug 2011.

so after many rude and useless phone calls and store visits....we were asked to bend with them so they can deliver the right part supposedly because they didn't do late deliveries after 4 to my area???? people have to work!!! and not after we waited 8 months you are telling us that we have to change our work schedule for you...hellloooooo. so after my husband exchanged a few words with them, they called and promised a saturday delivery and not to our surprise they deiver the wrong bed rail..( how hard can it be...read the right part number to match the right bed number?????)))))))

so finally we are over this.......just livid......i don't want my bedroom suite anymore......and they just don't do that they said...u can't return the furniture yet they can screw around with your time, nerves and patience....now they're promising the right rails to come in maybe in 27 days to their store and then we have to wait for them to deliver it to us....yeah right...i won't hold my breath on that one.......and guess what...now it's the turn of the coffee table that's falling apart..and nothing done yet....come on.....these managers need to be retrained on what customer service actually is....

i will never purchase anything from them again....and i advise everyone else to do the same...don't fall into the trap of their great prices and financing options....

Rude, uncaring, greedy! Bought a sofa and couch totaling $2000.its is electric, when it works,bought it in April 2011. I agree with others on here. (Especially regarding the incredible rude salesman Dwight in the west Knoxville Store, this guy is the epitome of a douche bag).

We spent 5,000 cash here, and were treated like scum of the earth. The salesman was EXTREMELY Rude, who discriminated against us because of our age, and felt discriminated against because I have a very large beard (I am Jewish under a Nazarite vow).

When we got our furniture the couches had several defects and cuts from the people who carried them in (employed by KWF).

A man was sent out who told us they needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. After many calls and speaking with managers, my furniture has still not been replaced.

This place is a sham. DO NOT SHOP THERE, you will regret it, we will NEVER purchase another thing from these crooks.

We got a mattress at Knoxville wholesale furniture and paid $761.00.This is money we had to save, we are on a fixed income. We needed it because of our health from several surgeries. We explained this to the salesman. The mattress is not the right size,We even called the store back when we got home. Then when we got it home, we called them and told them it was the wrong mattress, and it is broken on one side. They said a man would call to come look at it and take measurements, it is supposed to be a king size,and they ordered a California king.It measures 64wide this is not the right size for any mattress. So they offered $400 credit on their mistake.that they are saying we made.well this is wrong. Now our health suffers because we can't afford another.The manager is a smart elic and we suffer.and have a new mattress that doesn't fit.it's sad they won't trade it for the right size. What would it hurt they can send it back to the company.

We spent over $25,000 with ROB MEE.....this is his real name. His name should be LIE TO ME. We were lied to about when our furniture was coming in. We purchased a dining table on the condition that ROB would order a laser cut table pad to match, and that it would be included. The table finally came... extremely late...no table pad, and ROB had the audacity to yell at my wife, saying it wasn't his fault the factory took their time. He could have called and told us, but he didn't. We had to call ROB MEE to find out. On a good note Knoxville Wholesale Furniture had good furniture at fair prices. If you do buy...DO NOT BUY FROM ROB MEE!!!!!!

If you buy a toaster from Target, and it malfunctions 2 years later....do you call Target?? No, it's your responsibility to contact the manufacturer of the product. People really should take a little more ownership in their own products and get educated about what you purchase. I have furnished 2 of my own homes, and our vacation properties with Knoville Wholesale, and have never had a problem with the quality of my furniture or the customer service. I did have a few items that took about 8 weeks to arrive, but I was advised of the waiting period since it is made over seas. Would highly reccomend this business to anyone.

I will have to say I have had 1 good experience in 2009 with a bedroom suit but all purchases since then have been complete messes. TOM a the Callahan location is very rude. He will not even let you finish a sentence. Had issue with special order and the delivery. TOM does not play by the customer is always right rule and in very defensive. He does not allow you to express your concerns without completly interruppting you. I will go elsewhere for future purchases.

The sales team working the floor at 6:25p.m. on 2-7-2011 were not very approachable and unbelievable rude. When I asked one salesman about an item in stock, I was answered with a lot of sniffing, arrogance, and aggressiveness. I asked about a particular SKU number that we saw on the internet. "We don't have that SKU, but we have this one...", in which we spewed off a random SKU number. "Why is that other SKU number relevant?", I inquired. "I don't know, go look it up like you did the last one", he snorted. Wow. When I complained to Dwight, which was also working on the sales floor, I was told that the manager, Dave Tom, leaves at 5 and wouldn't believe me story anyway. My story? O.k... maybe other potential customers on the internet might be interested in my "story". Does this sound like your kind of store?

We purchased 3 living room tables from knoxville wholesale furniture. As soon as we got them home we found that all 3 were damaged. We have been back to pick up another set of tables and was not able to find an undamaged set! We are currently waiting on the next set to be delivered, but I don't have much hope that these will be any different. It has been a month since the original purchase and this issue is still not resolved. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Just a phone call to update a customer on the status of there order would be nice. You would be better off to buy used furniture than buy here.

We have been back to pick up another set of tables and was not able to find an undamaged set! we went here because of an ad we saw "everyone is approved no one is turned down" after filing bankrupcy 3 years ago we have over come our credit issues and bought a new house and of course needed furniture to go in it....we were approved for 100,000 mortage loan but not for 1500 for furniture? they really shouldnt advertise no one is turned down if they turn people down.....false advertiseing using this to lure people in their stores!!!

We purchased at least five thousand dollars of furniture from these people. Everything, was seconds. We special ordered parsons chairs from a company called CMI. They were messed up from the start. They replaced one for poor workmanship, they repaired another one for the material unraveling. Since then, 2 years ago they have all come apart. Talked to DAVE, the manager he said what did I want, I said to reimburse us. He said, FORGET it.
At the same time we bought a bed room set. There are all finger print marks on it from when the paint was wet and they handled it.
This didn't show up until 1 year later.
We also bought a couch and love seat that are falling apart. I called because the coushions were still under warranty, DAVE gave me such a hard time I could'nt believe it, he did'nt even have to pay, it was under manafacturers warranty!
I would never buy another stick of furniture from these people, EVERYTHING falls apart.

They can't even get me in their store because of their obnoxious commercials. They are so annoying that I end up not watching the morning news program I prefer because every other commercial is one of theirs and they are horrible! I'm almost ready to shop for some new furniture but it will NOT be there!

My husband and I purchased over $6,000 worth of furniture in 2006. It took us three deliveries, months of waiting and numerous upset phone calls to get the crap they call furniture. Now my $800 Southerland mattress is 4 yrs old and awful and I can't get them to do anything about it. I have been experiencing excruciating back pain for months now due to my mattress. I have a warranty on my mattress and I have been calling Knoxville Wholesale Furniture for approx. 2wks to get someone out here to look at my mattress. Everytime I call I am told the same thing someone will call you to come out and look at it. Finally a guy called, Mike, and he basically did everything he could to NOT come to my house. He says unless I can see a dent in my mattress they won't cover the warranty so I go balistic. Two weeks of this crap is long enough. He refuses to deal with me anymore b/c I'm angry. Imagine that an angry customer b/c I've been jerked around for two wks. I call the manager back and get the same story let me check on something and call you back. I wait a few hrs and then I contact Southerland directly who contacts the rep and calls me back to tell me they are going to email the warranty pack to fill out myself. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is ridiculous why not make KWF fill it out. Southerland stop letting KWF represent you in this way and I hope KWF goes out of business, their customer service skills are awful. If you are considering buying furniture do not go here even if they are cheaper, it is not worth the hassle. They are great up until you pay and then once that happens you are nothing to them.

My husband and I purchased over $6,000 worth of furniture in 2006. It took us three deliveries, months of waiting and numerous upset phone calls to get the crap they call furniture. Now my $800 Southerland mattress is 4 yrs old and awful and I can't get them to do anything about it. I have been experiencing excruciating back pain for months now due to my mattress. I have a warranty on my mattress and I have been calling Knoxville Wholesale Furniture for approx. 2wks to get someone out here to look at my mattress. Everytime I call I am told the same thing someone will call you to come out and look at it. Finally a guy called, Mike, and he basically did everything he could to NOT come to my house. He says unless I can see a dent in my mattress they won't cover the warranty so I go balistic. Two weeks of this crap is long enough. He refuses to deal with me anymore b/c I'm angry. Imagine that an angry customer b/c I've been jerked around for two wks. I call the manager back and get the same story let me check on something and call you back. I wait a few hrs and then I contact Southerland directly who contacts the rep and calls me back to tell me they are going to email the warranty pack to fill out myself. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is ridiculous why not make KWF fill it out. Southerland stop letting KWF represent you in this way and I hope KWF goes out of business, their customer service skills are awful. If you are considering buying furniture do not go here even if they are cheaper, it is not worth the hassle. They are great up until you pay and then once that happens you are nothing to them.

I wish I had checked this website prior to spending almost $2000 at Knoxville Wholesale Furniture. I purchased a sofa, chair and ottoman. The sofa has been a problem from the first. The leg was broken and it had to be repaired. Then the top cushion fabric's threads starting splitting. I called in Jan 2010 and it wasn't fixed until August 2010. When they brought the sofa back it was awful. The material had a hole in it and the stuffing could be pulled out. I refused the sofa. I was called the next week by Dave and he said it was redone. I went to the warehouse and they had whipstitched the hole and stitched improperly the cushions down. I met with Dave, the manager who I had been dealing with for the last 8 months. I was over it and he said they could recover it again. I requested the Broyhill rep. who was not happy with the recover either. Their policy is to fix the part that is messed up. No one disputed that the fabric on the upper cushions was defective and I really had no problem with the recovering. The problem came in they the KWS recovering folks do a horrible job. Anyhow I gave up - reported then to BBB of which they are not a member. Guess I learned a lesson to check this website first before I buy. No more purchasing at KWF for me. By the way, my salesman, Randy, was wonderful. The manager, Dave was rather unprofessional ( didn't return calls, etc)

I had a great experience with this store. I bought a sofa and love seat but found when I got the sofa home, it wouldnt fit in my door. My wife and I went to 10 different furniture stores. We ended up buying at Knoxville Wholesale Furniture after comparing all 10 for value. Our money is tighter these days and getting the most for our money was the main objective. We bought a bedrom suite which included a dresser, mirror, night stand, canopy bed and media chest. The suite was delivered quickly along with the new king mattress set we purchased. We have already returned and picked out a new counter height table and 6 chairs for our dining area. One problem with the canopy which they gladly corrected. Will buy again.

Purchased a coffee table from KWF. After getting it home, it was too tall for the living room. No posted notice, notation on sales receipt, no verbal warning from the salesperson, of "no return policy". Salesperson turned out to be no help in this whatsoever. Most stores give you at least 5 days, that is REPUTABLE stores, which KWF is not one of these. Ended up talking to the so called manager. His attitude was "tough, that's our policy". Contacted the Bureau. KWF is NOT a member, that should tell you something. After going back and forth with much help from the Bureau, we received curt answers from the supposed manager (perhaps he needs to look up the definition of manager) he offers to have someone cut the legs down on this table. Metal legged table! My complaint ended up as "Unresolved", which I am glad will be forever listed as such. The Bureau says there is no legal requirement for them to post the no return policy, but they have advised KWF to do so. This company has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and the public should be aware of this. I have never encountered a store like this and will never again shop there, recommend them and will make sure anyone I know is aware of this poorly run store. When you go in the store off Clinton Highway there is religious music playing, which is nice, and the owner is supposedly religious. That would be wonderful if he applied these principals to his business. Where is his good will and management responsibility in all of this. Either he does not know what his company is doing or he condones it. Be forewarned, low prices do not make up for their total disregard for their customers. After they delivered the sofa to my home, I checked and realized it was not the one that I ordered, they replaced one piece with a refurbished one. There were three large stitches on it and when I went back to store to solve this problem, they said it was the only set, so should be the one. However, not long after, I saw them pull another set out to sell... The sales person also asked me to purchase a five year care plan for additional 200 dollars, I purchased and reported the large stitches, the salesman said a customer service person would contact me in five days, I waited for two weeks, no one came, no one called, so I went back to store again and talked to the manager, he promised he would send someone over to take a look at the sofa, that never happened.Also, they were trying to trick the consumers by providing wrong address to financial company. Since they offered 0% finance for one year, I went for this offer, but didn't get bill from American General Finance two months after the sofa was delivered, I got worried, went to the finance company myself. They pulled out the information and the address was wrong. I wrote down the address myself for Knoxville Wholesale Furniture very clearly in print, and according to that address, they delivered the sofa, how come they gave the finance company a wrong one? Some part of it looks like it's deliberately wrong. I couldn't bother to figure out what's wrong and paid off the bill. I will never purchase from this store again. And I recommend you not to if you want to save money and avoid trouble. They are not that cheap and they have absolutely no credibility and no custom service what so ever. The salesman took your money and never give sh*t about you after. I learned my lesson through a hard way.

If you like poor customer service and for a management team to make promises and not follow through, then KWF is the place for you. The one thing that this place taught me was to do business with companies that are nationwide and are reputable for doing business with people. I bought a couch from KWF less than a year ago. The framing on the back of the couch broke after six months. About 2 more months passed and the couch broke in two more places by just sitting on it. The back of the couch put horrible marks on my walls. I decided it was time to go to the store and talk with a manager. This guy was the rudest person that I have ever dealt with and I am a manager in retail. Let me tell you how these idiots do business. Tell me if this sounds right. They have a guy on their payroll that comes out to your resident and determines whether the furniture was defective. The guy determined that our couch was not defective and the damage was caused by customer abuse, how convienent. The guy checked our couch for like 30 seconds. The report that he gave to the store was that we abused the couch. The manager tells us that maybe we sat on our couch too much. Really. Sat on a couch too much. Our conversation with this guy went on for about 25 minutes. He just kept telling us that there was nothing they could do. He said that their guy was unable to repair it. He said that he would call us and have their guy on their payroll come out and look at it again. He said that after he looks at it again, maybe he can repair it. If not, we can see what we can do from there. It has been about three weeks. No call, no message. This guy told us that they did 25 million dollars in sales last year and they were opening another store. He said you can't have that kind of success and satisfy everybody. I have just found out recently in the conference room of my work that I am not the only person KWF has treated this way ! 3 people here have had a similiar problem.I purchased some furniture and it picked it up late friday it did not fit so I called on monday to return it left a message called again tuesday and left a message in great detail still no return call so thursday i called the manager he was SOOOO RUDE now I knew where the associates get it from.The mgr tried to tell me there was NO RETURNS NO EXCEPTIONS!!! However ,that was not on my receipt nor was it posted in the store!!! So I returned it anyway and now they want me to pay a 25% restocking fee....really?? what a rip off ..Now they are harrasing me over the fee because my credit card company refunded the full amount to me .So here goes war i guess ! I would rather pay $ 600.00 to a lawyer rather than them..Save yourself the aggravation shop somewhere else....

I purchased a couch, chair and ottoman in October 2007 from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture (KWF). After many screw ups by them, I finally received my sofa in March 2008. I still have not received my chair and ottoman.

The first screw up was KWF's fault - they ordered the wrong fabric and actually delivered the wrong sofa after Thanksgiving 2007. They admitted this was their error and the salesman actually had not keyed in the fabric that I wanted. They reordered and told me it would be six weeks, which would have me receive the furniture around the first of the year, January 2008. When I called in January I was told the fabric was on backorder and it was being shipped from China and it would be at the manufacturer on February 1 and I should receive my furniture by the end of February.

I received the sofa toward the later part of March, but I still have not received the chair and ottoman. I am concerned the dye lots will not match since they did not make the furniture from the same dye lot of fabric. They told me they would knock $250 off the furniture, but at this point, I think that sum should be more for all the trouble I have gone through.

I have asked several times to talk with the Kincaid representative, but he hasn't called me. Dale at KWF has said he would contact the manufacturer representative and have him call me. At this point I don?t know if Dale has made that phone call or if the manufacturer doesn?t want to talk with me. He was aware of this screw up from the very beginning and I would have thought he would have made sure I received this furniture after all that I have been through. I still think I should be able to talk with the Kincaid representative because KWF is saying it is the manufacturer?s fault.

I checked with the Better Business Burear a few weeks ago and KWF has about 8 complaints against them and haven't responded to any of the complaints. I am sending this complaint to Don Dare, WATE TV.

We bought two bedroom sets from this company...over $6000.00 spent. When one bedroom set was delivered we were told that it had been damaged while on the truck (about a six-food section of the head board had been broken off) but they would go ahead and set up the furniture and the furniture would be replaced. We then checked the other pieces and discovered that one of the nightstands had also been damaged. Plus a "pad" on the another piece was showing because it had been made incorrectly. This was on April 18, 2007. It is now May 8, 2007. We have e-mailed pictures of the damaged furniture to the store; talked to the manager (after arguing to get him to come to the phone); and been told numerous times that they will "get back to us". Yesterday, the manager told us the Pulaski rep would be in town today and that he (the manager) would call us today. When we called today we were told the manager was on his day off. When we spoke to another manager he hung up on us because he said we cursed at him. (We told him to come get his ugly furniture.) We are still arguing with the company because we had given them a check for $1000. to order the furniture. What a mess! Do we really need this? What ever happened to customer service????? We are now contacting a consumer advocate company and a local television station. We will not allow a company to act in this fashion.

I paid for a sofa, loveseat, kitchen table and chairs. Before paying I confirmed that everything was in stock and would be delivered Saturday. On the day of delivery, they call and tell me they don't have the loveseat or 2 of the chairs. I cancelled the entire order and received a refund.
