Way overpriced! My cut and color was about $100 overpriced!!!! Would recommend you shop around before landing on this salon. The color and cut I got was average.

I went to Shine b/c of the rave reviews I had read. I needed a change from my previous stylist who was in a total rut w/my hair. I decided I wanted to go short--a "stylish bob" was what I had in mind. I made an appt w/Sarah, (she has a rave review in the Nashville Scene) and she did an amazing job. It's such a fresh cut. It looks better than I could have imagined. Sarah also has an amazing personality--very enjoyable to talk to. The other stylists were friendly and complimentary of my new "do" as well. I would highly recommend this salon. The only downfall is location--Green Hills traffic is so awful, especially on Sat, and right after work. The parking is limited as well. Otherwise, no complaints! I plan to send my husband to Sarah as well. :)

Finally! I have been to every top rated salon in Nashville, and have had hit-or miss service. I've seen a few stylists at Shine (Susanne was booked for quite a while) and had a fantastic cut and color with both Crystal and Fred. I may stay with Fred, as he really nailed my color. The salon is really pretty, and there's great shopping pre or post service, in the courtyard! YEAAAH!

I love the salon Shine, the atmosphere is friendly and fun. It's very relaxing, and I love the fact that they don't juggle clients, yet they always seem to find a way to fit me in. I always love my cut and color and Melanie ROCKS!!!

This was a good place to get a hair cut. Very good and clean enviornment. The staff was expericiend and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and up to date.

Being new in town, I decided to try Shine based on the excellent reviews. Suzanne was booked for months, however, so I let them pick a stylist for me.
The salon was nice, but the area around my stylist's chair was not cleaned before I arrived, nor was it cleaned at any point during my visit. There was a LOT of hair. This may have been because my stylist was sick and didn't feel like cleaning up. She said she felt like she had the flu. I wish she would've just postponed our appt.
My haircut was fine. She offered no suggestions on anything new, so I just went with a very basic cut. I then had a single-process color that, again, was fine. Definitely not the best I've had. I spent nearly $200 and it was not worth that. I won't be going back.

OK, the search is over. I have found my stylist for life. Fred Frisch has nailed my color. I have hard hair to work on, and he is not only a great colorist, but is the only one who has been able to style my hair. No more re-wash/style when I leave the salon. YEAAAH! Finding someone to trust has given me peace of mind... Shine's staff were great, too. I had a thousand questions when trying to figure out who to see, and they took the time to make sure it was a good fit. Overall a fantastic experience.
