Monica really loves dogs and treats her guest dogs like her own. I have boarded three dogs at Four Paws Ranch over the years. My older dog got the special attention he needed. My hyper Aussies came home better socialized after staying at Four Paws.

Pros: supervised play groups, individual attention

I want to set the record straight. A person looking for a place to leave their beloved pet while they travel is welcome to make an appointment to come tour our kennel. Appointments are required so we are able to monitor the comings and goings on the property in order to maintain a safe and routine environment for our guests. All deposits are refundable up to seven days prior to your visit. All of our policies regarding our hours and deposits are available on our website - www.fourpawsranch(dot)com and are presented to each client upon check in. I live on the property 100ft from the kennel. Myself or an employee is on the property at least 20 hours a day. Our guests play outside an average of 3-4 hours a day in a 3/4 acre fenced play yard fully supervised. In addition to playtime, our guests go out the back door of the kennel to a fenced grass yard (just like at home) at least 5 to 8 times a day with the last potty being after 10pm and usually closer to midnight. I do not offer an indoor/outdoor run because the only reason a kennel has those is so they do not have to take the time to personally play with your dog and then they can house 100+ dogs a day. We are very small and spend time with each dog personally every day. Full for us is between 15-25 dogs (less than a quarter of most kennels). A tv is left on for the dogs (just like most of do when we leave our dogs to go out) so that is is like a home environment and helps to drown out any outside noises that might disturb them. Our kennel has two rooms and each one has at least one window. Our guests spend so much time outside, they are happy to come into their climate controlled room to relax, have their meal and take a nap. I encourage anyone that is considering boarding their dog to call me (Monica) and come out to visit or I am happy to answer your questions over the phone.

Pros: lots of personal attention, lots of outside time, each guest's needs assessed individually

Cons: none

This place gives pet boarding a bad name. Customers are not allowed to drop off and pickup their pets except during a narrow timeframe dictated by the owner, even if you need to come just 10 minutes after! The facility is basically a very small windowless concrete building in the back yard of the single female owner. The dogs are kept in small chain link fence cages without no outside dogruns and no where to go if they need to do their business. The small room the dogs are kept in is constantly lit day and night and a blaring TV is on at all times. Unless the owner is around to take the the dogs out, they sit in a cage 24 hours a day. Her "deposit" policy is ridiculous; she demands a large deposit months ahead and if your plans change, you're out of luck - you lose the money, even if she rebooks the space to someone else. And, she won't apply it to future visits either. Our dog was very upset after staying with her and we'll never go back. Pet lovers beware!
