Citysearch should change the phone no. listed by Citysearch on the page. This church is using the -2800 number in a specialized agency or ministry of the church, and this number is not answered by the Church Office. The Church Office is on 931.433-1905, and is staffed from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM M-F. Phone the two numbersduring the operating times of day and confirm what I am telling you.

This church has been on this site since the early part of the 19th century, the 1800s. The sanctuary, solidly built of bricks made of clay dug and fired in the neighborhood, is of antebellum construction and was commandeered and desecrated by the invading Union army in the War. Even the pews or benches were used as feed troughs for horses. The church members were smiling and welcoming and energetic to show these out-of-state visitors a friendly and pleasant welcome, without being overly pushy. The Celtic music concert was excellent, featuring many fine old jigs and reels and a few ballads from Ireland's green and verdant land, much in keeping with the Scots-Irish heritage of all Presbyterian churches and of the Central South. It was a musical experience that one might never in one's life have enjoyed, were it not for the dedication of this group of players from North Alabama and this church, and their joy in presenting these fine old pieces to the world. This was a feature of an annual festival presented in Fayetteville for many years now. Fayetteville's bicentennial anniversary celebration is coming up soon, and we hope to be able to return for that, and again for next year's Celtic concert.
