Watermelon Moon Farm is heavenly. Emily is the most charming of hosts and a gifted artist. She has art workshops and luncheons. In the back of the house is the most charming bed and breakfast. It used to be the 1830 kitchen separated from the house. It has two rooms shared by a stone fireplace, so cozy. The home is beautifully decorated with antiques sprinkled with art and displays of gift items. The porch is huge, and I heard one lady discussing the wonderful bridesmaids luncheon she had there. I live in Lebanon and it is the best day out ever!!!! (I love her hens and goats.)

"Wow" is the best way to begin. Of course the beautiful day was a plus; but whatever the weather, a day at Watermelon Moon Farm is a day well spent! Today was a "girls' day out" with my mom and best friend and we chose the season's opening day at this historic treasure. It was magical. The picturesque setting of the 175 year old home was equaled by the graceful hospitality of the owner, Emily Steinberg-Cash. As we entered the foyer, the fragrance of spring surrounded us and we were directed to the dining room where we were offered a selection of delicious light appetizers and lovely little cakes. We spent an hour admiring the many well priced treasures in the gift shop and chose a few to take home with us. Our day ended on the porch swing talking with a group of antique car enthusiasts who had come for the day as well. Seeing all of the 1920 -1930 vintage automobiles in the side yard was just the cherry on the top of a perfect day!

I look forward to the Spring and Fall seasons because the Watermelon Moon Farm always has an open house. The home is absolutely lovely, and decorated so beautifully. The home is owned by Emily and Norman, and they have such a gift of hospitality. Emily is an artist and has classes scheduled each weekend in the Spring and Fall. As a Christmas gift, I gave my mom and I a "girl's day out" having a class and luncheon at Watermelon Moon Farm. We has so much fun making a decoupaged charger plate. Luncheon was served in the main house and it was very good. Mom and I had a great time and plan to do it again.
