I had a partial Hysterectomy. I had both my ovaries removed to lessen the chance of getting Ovarian Cancer. After being told many different reasons why I was having the following; pain in my leg, cramping , and bleeding. I ask Doctor Fox to do an ultrasound. The results were a Cyst on my Ovary. After convincing the Nurse Practitioner I didn??t have Ovaries she said maybe it??s a mistake with the test and told me to get a second option. Doctor Fox called and told me it was a mistake and that there was no need in seeing the other doctor. I asked about the pain and bleeding and was told just come back in. He basically told me that some times Remnant can grow back. I asked if we could do a Pelvic Cat Scan . He told me nothing is going to show me we just need to go back in and see. I??m thinking see what? You mean cut me back open? He said yes because of my Cancer History we needed to act quick. I went to see the Ultra Specialist and was told they did not see any Ovaries. He said disregard the test. I again asked what about the bleeding and the leg pain. He offered to go back in again and just see what??s there. I declined and started looking for another Doctor. I had been bleeding for a week and the pain was getting worse. To make a even longer story short three Doctor??s went in and removed an Ovary. I was given a longer recovery time and I loss my job. Since then I have been getting bills for as much as $18150.67, and they keep coming. Should I be responsible for this? No one will take my case and I don??t have this type of money. I think this is just wrong. Should I just be happy it was removed before it turned Cancerous and pay the bills? This is basically what I have been told. What ever law they have in Tennessee that makes this ok needs to be changed and I would advise people to think twice about walking into that office. I saved my own life.

I have been going to Dr. Fox since I had a miscarriage in 2005. He delivered my son with no problems in 2006. However, when I was pregnant with my daughter, I called because I was having contractions. I was told to come in and see the nurse practitioner, Sierra. I came in, I had sugar in my urine and she had problems locating my baby's heartbeat with the hand-held device. The nurse I always saw with my appointments. with Dr. Fox, Jennifer, was wonderful and always located the heartbeat easily. Sierra did a crappy ultrasound that was only long enough to see the heartbeat and sent me home saying coming to the office was a waste of her time if I was only 1 cm dilated. The next day my baby didn't move at all and I was instructed to go to labor and delivery at Southern Hills, only to find out that my baby was dead! Speaking with Dr. Fox at a follow up appt., he told me he wasn't sure why I had seen Sierra; that I was a high-risk patient and the receptionist should have scheduled an emergency appt. with him. My little girl is dead because they apparently do not pay close attention to high-risk patients needs. I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 18 months and have been unsuccessful. I am beginning to wonder if something is wrong. I had wanted to get my tubes tied after my Emily was born, but Dr. Fox said they wouldn't do it because after the death "I wasn't in my right mind". I am wondering now if there was yet another screw up and they tied my tubes anyway

I have been going to Genesis for 9yrs now and yes, they are a very popular growing practice-i have not found the staff to be rude, Connie the NP is great and Dr ross is wonderful, there have been times that i have waited 4hrs, matter of fact i was there 3hrs on Weds... but honestly. its a wonderful knowledgeable practice, as for dr hamburger i dunno... but sometimes premium care is something to wait for.. every woman in my family goes there, despited the long wait times, they are a great staff, and also Dr Ross has delivered my neice and nephew wonderfully with no complications.. so... wait time.. sucks, superior care from Connie FNP and Dr Ross... worth the wait.. and working ina doctors office myself, especially a busy practice, u have to understand that u are not the only patient that practice has and the nurses ALWAYS call back.. typically after they slow down or close, thats better than most practices can say. i called today and she called me back withtin 30min-trust me, in an OB office, that is constantly slammed- you arent the only patient they have and with pregnancy, some things are urgent and thats to be expected the pregnancy pts can come first if its an emergency-so lighten up, and get over the fact that u have to wait. its better then going to the health department.

Don't know much about the doctors in this practice because I didn't even get to see one. I was a new patient and had my appointment scheduled for today. After waiting for an hour and 15 minutes the assistant said that the doctor is still not there and that everybody who is not pregnant have an option of rescheduling and that the doctor would see pregnant women first. I needed to be at work and decided to be rescheduled. Well that didn't work either because starting that day my doctor quit accepting new patients so I wouldn't be able to be accepted. I just left that place and decided to never come back. The waiting room was really full and women were waiting for a long time even for other doctors.

I agree that Dr. Hamburger is a good doctor, but I have had nothing but problems there ever since my pregnancy was confirmed.

They seem to be constantly overbooked with patients which causes long wait times. I had to wait an hour for my first appointment, so I scheduled my next one in the first available slot in the morning. I still had to wait 45 minutes to be seen that time, and it made me very late for work. Every time I call with a question I have had to wait two to three hours for a call back.

Also, the nurse practitioner prescribed a medication that I am very allergic to because she did not check the drug allergies I listed on my chart (Luckily, my pharmacist caught it).

The staff is inefficient- one time I was given paperwork to fill out 40 minutes after my appointment was supposed to have begun because the woman at the desk did not bother to look at my chart when she checked me in. Some of the staff are just plain rude and treat the patients like an annoyance to be overcome.

I like Dr. Hamburger very much but I am changing doctors because I don't want to (or have to) put up with this kind of stress for six more months. The bottom line is, if you are pregnant and have to work for a living, or just value your time, go somewhere else.

You will not find a more caring or knowledgeable doctor than Dr. Hamburger. His nurse, Tracy is also a sweetheart! I would highly recommend them to anyone.
