With Tattoo and Piercing Competitors posting BAD REVIEWS about each other on the internet, asking their friends to post good reviews about their shop, its really hard who to trust, come in and see the great work we do......most of the time were tattooing so you can see a tattoo that has come out of our shop !! Anyone can make a web site using pictures that came off of another site, from a magazine or many other places with pictures of tattoos !! New management ,New artist. Very Friendly and very Talented people.Go check them out for yourself.

I called them to ask about pricing and to make an appointment and they were rude. I decided to stop by anyways (even though they wouldnt tell me a price) and they wanted to charge me $140 for two simple stars that were like 2inches tall. It was my first tattoo but i thought that was a little steep so i called up another shop, archangel and they charged me $50 for both stars and they were incredibly nice and my stars look great. theyre even and look good.

I was calling around tattoo places to find out prices. When I called Ink Gallery, a man answered and made me feel ridiculous for the questions I was asking. When he could tell I was offended, he just laughed and said "it was a silly question".
I will never step foot in that shop.

this is hands down one of the best shops I've been in this whole country. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have spent hours just talking to the clerk helping me with ideas, answering questions, and giving suggestions.
david, the artist is the best work in town without a doubt. he has tatooed me and my husband and friends many many times. his work is not even close to other artist in town, and the experience of getting a tatoo was pleasant. i realze that the artist need to focus and concentrate, however, he went out of his way to converse with me and make me feel comfortable. even besides being an artist, over the years he has become a friend and a great person overall.
Also David is the piercer and has done 3 piercings for me. he did my breasts and I was nervous to be so naked in front of him. by the time it happened, i was completely comfotable. even with my shirt off, i felt he was as professional as a doctor. i didn't feel like he was even looking at me in that respect.
Jayne was an artist that used to be in that location and moved to different store in Madison and she also did work for me and was great.
The clerk/intern (Ally)is now doing tatoos and I have plans to have her tatoo me soon. she is such a sweetheart and so helpful. I have been in the shop waiting for David and heard lots of her customer interactions and she is nice and as helpful as she can be. I have seen her go out of her way to find material for customers. I see that there are some reviews saying that she has been rude, and that is unfounded. I have actually been witness to customers being extremely rude and talking down to her and she stood up for herself.(respectfully) i would expect nothing less. I treat others the way they treat me. And I hope most of you agree with me. Just because you are a patron of a business does not mean that you can treat them as badly as you want and expect for the person not to stand up for themselves. no.
so, basically, if you are reading those reviews and thinking, wow, those people are jerks, well, please don't be so close minded. Listen to the ones of us who are regular clients who go to no other shop because I find all the professionalism and great work right there and there is no need to look elsewhere.

I took a chance walking into the Ink Gallery on Black Friday and was greeted by a very friendly guy behind the counter. We chatted a bit and I gave him the tattoo design I had brought with me. He took it and spoke briefly with the artist, David, and then returned to the counter to continue our conversation.
Minutes later I was in David's chair getting work done on a very sensitive area, but David's touch was easy and painless!
I walked out of the shop very proud of the new work I had on me and pleased with the treatment I received at the shop. Ink Gallery II on Elliston Place will be my first stop for any future tattoos!

I have gotten three tattoos from the Ink Gallery over the last few months. I have been nothing but amazed at the quality of the work I have received. The staff is friendly and helpful and the studio is exceptionally clean. The atmosphere is exactly what one would expect when walking into a tattoo shop.

I just got home from the Ink Gallery and I am already thinking about my next tattoo. I can't wait to go back and get more beautiful art from the talented professionals that work at the Ink Gallery 2.

I've read some of the reviews here and let me say, maybe artists aren't the most social and out-going people around. They might be quiet and introverted and VERY FOCUSED ON ART! So I have to say that maybe the other reviewers don't understand that.
Walking in the door you are engulfed by art, wall to wall, floor to ceiling. And not just flash, but real art painted and made by real artists in the Nashville area (like the artists in this shop). The counter girl is very friendly and helpful and when I met with the artist for the first time we discussed my design and the bigger plans I had for tattoos down the line. The guy wasn't very talkative (neither was I) but the work was impeccable and I was perfectly at ease the entire time.
The next time I was needing a tattoo I went right back to Ink Gallery 2 and the same guy did my work. We chatted more this time because we were familiar with each other. Perfect piece and I was in and out in less than an hour for a reasonable price.
If you want a great tattoo, go to the Ink Gallery 2 across from the Gold Rush bar. Get a great tattoo and then go have a drink and show it off.

I was apprehensive about getting tattooed by any other than my favorite artist up north (from which I came) until I saw the work of David Hoffman. He came highly recommended by trusted friends with amazing work done by him. I first got large tattoos just above my wrists on both arms by David. Both tattoos turned out so well I went back and had him do even larger pieces that now nearly cover my entire forearms.
His work is full of clean, steady lines and fine detail! I am very proud of the work I received at Ink Gallery II and highly recommend the studio to any and everyone that asks. Just a few weeks ago I filled the shop with folks I had steered their way and they all left just as happy as I am. I plan to get more work and it will be from David and the crew at Ink Gallery II on Elliston! Thanks David for the amazing art.

My sister is in town from New Orleans and we wanted to go out in Nashville last night and check out prices for tattoos (I have none, but she has two). First, my sister asked how much it would cost for a small peace sign on her shoulder. A butch looking woman with blonde hair informed her it would be around $100. While she was explaining why it would cost that much, she was extremely rude, saying that a circle is hard to draw on a person. OK - understandable, but she was very rude and condescending.

Then, I asked how much a Pisces symbol would be (two fish swimming in opposite directions) to the little scene wanna-be chick behind the counter (I believe her name is Ally-different girl from before). She said about $70. My sister then asked again, this time to Ally, how much a peace symbol would be and she said $80. She then asked again about the circle costing so much and why two different people told her different prices for the same tat.

Right away Ally said, "You can just leave. We're tired of it." My sister said, "Are you serious?" thinking she was joking, but Ally just insisted on us to leave the store.

Since I was not really in the whole action and just observing and I can tell you my sister was asking these questions in a very friendly tone. We're from New Orleans, so we are used to people being friendly and helpful. If these people at Ink Gallery can't answer questions or explain to an uninformed customer about a tattoo they will just ask you to leave.

I understand them being frustrated with someone asking questions, but true professionals should not show their impatience to anyone willing to spend money in their shop. My sister was very upset, and none of us were expecting the people at Ink Gallery to act this way towards us. I am very disappointed in the service.

In the Ink Gallery radio ads they use the line "Trust the professionals". These people are far from professional and their customer service stinks. I am a moderately tattooed individual, at one time was a heavily pierced individual, and I have a few surgical modifications. I have been around in the national modification community for over a decaded and have been around some of the great names in the field. Basicly, I am not an uneducate newbie when it comes to piercings and tattoo.

I went into the shop because a friend said I should go. That was my first mistake. I wanted a simple lip piercing and the counter guy(not the piercer/tattoo artist, David) showed me the jewelry they like to use. I asked the kid what size were the beads on the labret posts. Exact words I used were," What is the size of the bead in millimeter?". He told me the gauge of the post. I told him I wanted to know the size of the bead on the post. He then gives me the air quotes with his fingers saying that NOONE in the modification community would know what I was talking about and don't know what milimeters are. He then proceeds to try and tell me about the community and how jewelry is measured in gauges not mm. I tell him that he didn't know jewelry and if he didn't know the sizes of the beads to just say it.

He was very unprofessional. I would never speak down to a customer because I wasn't sure about a product I was selling. They have an uneducated scene kid working the counter who doesn't know about the items he is selling. He probably doesn't even know that you can buy the post and beads seperately. He probably doesn't know that when you order jewelry that you have a choice of length, gauge, and size of beads. Or are they buying trash jewelry from a supplier that doesn't give them that option in order to afford the $20 piercings specials in a pretty expensive rent area?

My husband and I get tattoos every year for our anniversary and this would have been our 3rd year. We went in a week before we wanted to get our tats because I wanted a unique design that they had told me last year they would help me with. We got there as soon as they opened and was treated rudely when we said that we wanted to come in at a certain time to have a half sleeve done. The tattoo artist "went out for a pack of smokes" for over 45 minutes knowing there were returning customers in the shop. They did not seem the least interested in making money, I found it to be rude and very disrespectful. I would tell everyone to not waste their time with those people.

I recieved a hood and eyebrow piercing at this place. I was referred by a friend to David and was so glad I listened! I was impressed with the cleanliness of the shop and that He wore a face mask while performing the piercings. The staff was very helpful as well extremely friendly. I was happy with the price of the piercings as well.
I am definately referring my friends to him and I personally won't go anywhere else to have work done!!!!!

I recently went to Ink Gallery with a bunch of friends, this was my first tattoo and was extremely nervous. The price at Ink Gallery was excellent, as well as the cleanliness and the facility. The artist's name was David and he did an excellent job, however, the wait was a little long and the customer service process could have been a little bit nicer. Overall, they were excellent.

I am new to nashville,I walked in Ink Gallery on Elliston Place,I was told they had moved from church st.I have a lot of ink,I ended up getting another tat,I had told myself no more tats, anyway after looking at their work I had them draw me up some trible, super work, really upscale shop!

Pros: clean, super work, great price

.

I and three friends went to Ink Gallery II and had matching tattoo's done. Everyone there was helpful in helping us pick just the right art, getting us in and out quickly, and doing great work. 3 different artists worked on us and you can't tell the difference from one to the other. We were very pleased. :)

i got my nose pierced there over a month ago. they charge $20 (free jewelry w/ piercing) for any piercing above the waist. every other place i looked at charged more and it depended on if i was getting a stud or a ring as to how much so 20 bucks was looking really good. i wouldn't say they were the most friendliest but they pretty much got done to it and i was in and out in a matter of minutes.

I had my nipples done here. This was my fourth piercing so I was used to the usual b.s.! I won't lie, this piercing HURTS but it is SOOOOO worth it! Anyways, the dude at Ink Gallery made it so easy. He explained everything that he was going to do and everything that I could expect afterward. Honestly, I'd take em out and let heal just so I could do it again....that first month is exquisite!!!
